Lovely generous sized room, and bathroom . Gorgeous comfy beds and pillows. A Light room, airy and a bit quirky too. The hotel gardens are delightful and breakfast was super. We were also able to store our bicycles safely nearby. Central easy location for everything. The staff were very attentive and professional. Oh, yes. My absolutely favourite "hotel" room so far- dreamy Peonia, the rooftop suite in the heart of the town, was the cherry on top of my magical 24-hours in San Quirico. VERY comfortable bed, flawless design, modern and comfortable bathroom, warm (it gets very cold in the winter), view over the valley, privacy, yet right across the street from the all the best nooks. Useful tea kitchen downstairs...

Charming hotel, lovely garden and pool, friendly staff, wonderful spa…the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are no views and we felt that was misleading based on the photos from the website. The on-site restaurant was amazing for dinner. Ciao!

I had the most perfect stay at Palazzo del Capitano! The hotel is truly a gem, you walk in and you are transported into a fairy tale. The staff is outstanding and Lorenzo makes you feel so welcomed and at home. The hotel is family owned and the owners are so lovely and their love truly shines around the property. This place is a local gem. The best thing in it - the restaurant. The food they serve is absolutely a must eat in San Quirico. The reason I did not give 5 stars: we got a room that was kind of noisy and the wifi was not really working. However the location, service and food was great. If I ever come back to San Quirico... I take this hotel.

A nice hotel just out of the medieval town , it had a great bed and parking for a motorbike but was owned by a family who owned quite a bit of the properties in the medieval town ,is that a good thing ? Great location for Tuscan travel on the ss22 road .

Super cosy hotel. We stayed here only 1 night but wished we stayed more. We got upgraded for a bigger room. We were greeted with tea and coffee and the breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of things. The breakfast is served in a different building. You have to cross the town, which is a great opportunity for you to see it as well.

What a find! This is a lovely place. San Quirico d'Orcia is a tiny medieval town, and this hotel has created a collection of stay options in the different buildings it has renovated around the town. Had a one night stay in Bologna and was surprised by the great quality of this hotel. The only negative was the defective or badly installed water pump of our room's AC unit kicking pretty loudly at night. In summary I can highly recommend a stay.

Rooms are ok, hotel otherwise not modern. It is a 3 star hotel but the coffee for breakfast is served in paper cups… no words for that!! I would not come back

Really enjoyed staying here. Great view, great rooms, nice breakfast. The view over the pool to the landsight is super. Parking lots are many direct to the hotel. Restaurant in the evening is nice and affordable. On TV even YouTube is working over ethernet - great to view some scenes and soundtracks from Gladiator that was filmed in this region.

Nice hotel but a bit remote from other restaurants and bars. Kept awake by mysterious noise in the room which I could not locate the source of. Staff very nice and helpful.

its ok. gives what it offer. not spicel but nice people and nice service. clean and simple. we even stayd 2 nights and they gave us a very nice price for it. nice stuff the resturant nearby not recomended at all. good food but owfull service.

Very nice host, communication in english is a bit rough but somehow works, delicious free homemade cakes and drinks all the time, old authentic buliding with comfortable rooms. Everything is set up nicely and the breakfast is very personal and amazing. Definitely worth a stay! :)

Reasonably cheap prices, comfortable and clean rooms and a friendly, welcoming attitude are great stay experiences. The hostess prepared a very rich breakfast and was a pleasant surprise. Very recommended!

It provides a very unique medieval experience. The staff is attentive. The family's idea of ​​renovating this village and building hotels is quite interesting, it's well worth seeing, but after a day or two, there's not much to do.

Unfortunately, this accommodation charges 20 euros per night for the dog, which is totally overkill for a small dog. A one-time final cleaning of 20 euros would be completely sufficient. Better a little fewer frills, but reasonable prices for rooms and pets.

It was not bad at all, but as they presented themselves I expected a bit more. We were waiting 15 minutes for someone come to check-in. Room was nicely decorated and maintained but bathroom was rather small. Breakfast was disappointing. Located in another building, it was cold inside and you had to choose between sweet or savoury platter and you could not combine it.

We stayed in one of the many satellite structures ... very spacious rooms but absolutely invaded by mosquitoes and no air conditioning. It is advisable to at least put mosquito nets on the windows so as to open the windows in the evening and not to spend the night hunting mosquitoes

This place is really great. Arranged with taste and art attitude the spacious apartment is located right in the midlle of Val D'Orcia's heart - San Quirico D'Orcia. There is free parking just outside of the closest old town gate. If you want to have a base for daily trips to the most visited and photographed sights of Toscany, that's the place.

The convenience of sleeping in the center, but the inconvenience of leaving your luggage outside the center, looking for parking, going around the village even two or three times. Such a fantastic place to stay, in fabulous rolling Tuscan hills with easy access to some wonderful hilltop towns. The accomodation is simple but comfortable and the food is amazing! I would go back in a heartbeat!

This is a quaint place and serves a great base to enjoy some quiet time and visit the wineries of Tuscany. There is no a/c, so there will be sweating in August. But when the weather is pleasant, I’d highly recommend this establishment.

Our stay at il Rigo was absolutely wonderful! The scenery surrounding the agriturismo is absolutely breathtaking, and the warmth and hospitality by Luisa and her family made us feel right at home. Such an idyllic getaway in the Tuscan countryside.

The farmhouse is located near the scenery roads Val D'Orcia. It has very nice unblocked view on their vineyard. The lady owner is very friendly and helpful. Wine tasting on site.

This was one of the most memorable stay we had with my family. Fiorella and Giovanella are lovely and made everything to make us feel like home. The apartment is perfectly cleaned and the view on the country side is amazing. I’ll never forget this experience from the delicious cake homemade by Fiorella or the amazing wine tasting experience offered by Giovanella.

We stumbled on this winery when we drove from Sienna to Rome. After 2 weeks in Italy, our family wholeheartedly agreed that the visit to this winery, was the highlight of our trip. The views were beautiful, the wine delicious, and the owners greeted us with wonderful cheeses and meats (and olive oil - we purchases 3 cans) to enjoy with our wine. Well-kept, clean, spacious apartment with terrace overlooking the Val d'Orcia! In San Quirico with many photographic points nearby to visit! I will be back in another less hot period!

The structure is decentralized from San Quirico d'Orcia but all services are easily reachable in 2 minutes. The room was cozy, it had everything you need: small mini bar, towels, hairdryer. There is a shared terrace which is worth the whole structure. The town is very convenient because it is central to all the villages in the valley. Excellent value for money, we will be back!

Very nice, characteristic and typical place of the Val d'Orcia. The manager, Mr. Salvatore, very attentive and always available to everyone's needs. To reach the farmhouse you have to take a dirt road between fields and cypresses. The farmhouse is in a wonderful place, the rooms furnished in a rustic Tuscan style. Spacious and clean rooms.
