Hotel Town in Catania

The room was fine, I can even say it was a bit spacious compared to other single rooms I had on my trip. It was the check in process that I had most difficulty with. The hotel is inside of a building. To get in, you need a key. There was no receptionist when I tried to check in (after 2 PM). So I had to call them up and follow a series of instructions to get my room keys. It was the hardest hotel check-in I ever had.

The tariff is competitive, the landlady is nice, the location is good for the tourists. The downside is that our room was noisy at night with revellers' shouting and in the early morning for the preparation of setting up the open air stalls down the street. With the poor noise protection, not recommended for shallow sleepers. In the end, you get what you paid.

The hotel is very well located, close to everything. It is an old building, and the hotel is on one of its floors. The reception works during certain hours and then they give you the keys so you can move freely. It is true that there is a market at the door of the building, starting at 6 am and you can hear some noises but nothing that is unbearable and it is also a super nice market full of things to buy. The basic breakfast was basic, but I had mate and then snacked on something, but it's not something that the breakfast stands out for. If the lady who welcomes you is notable, I don't know her name, but she does everything from cleaning to welcoming you, she prepares breakfast and well, sometimes she misses some things, in my case one day she didn't go and I was left without breakfast. However, price-quality ratio I recommend it.
