Hotels on first line in Catania

A beautiful hotel set on the cliff just outside Catania - rooms are big, have AC, well serviced, great pool (30m plus x 20), great pool bar, amazing buffet breakfast, access to sea. Lovely for a family holiday.

We were only going to stay one night and ended up staying two. We found the room to be quiet and comfortable. The view is spectacular and while we didn’t use the pool it was available and we sunned ourselves near it

The heated pool outside and the wellness and spa center was unavailable, unfortunately 🥺 The sun terrace was closed too, even though the weather was great

This hotel is set in a beautiful location. Rooms are very basic and walls are thin so can hear other guests in their bedrooms. There is nothing else to do at the hotel apart from lay by the pool

Breakfast is satisfying with lots of choices including American coffee. We ate one lunch and two dinners here and enjoyed all three. The service is amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful

Nice hotel with a perfect view! Very friendly staff. comfortable rooms with balcony. I've been to four star hotels many times, but this one looks more than four! I'm going back someday!🤩

Well, maybe but full of large groups of old people(these groups are paying much less). The rest is fine, but low profile. To say it briefly: it is a beach-Gropus hotel, not really what you expect from a Sheraton

Such an amazing place to stay while you’re in Catania! We were absolutely satisfied with everything😍 The atmosphere is amazing, service was much more helpful and kind than any other in the island based on our experience

But being so close to the sea is always a plus (no beaches, though). The rooms are comfortable, the food at the hotel is good (but not spectacular)

Same with the acces to the beach!! Ther is no other way :( to do it really. Good breakfasts, comfortable beds. Just be ready to pay extras for many things in Italy, otherwise, included in the price around the world

Across the road is the best place to eat in walking distance in the evening at Mamas which is down some stairs to sea level and at street level is their cafe which is OK

On site there are a few shops catering for evening events, a travel tour company and a small souvenir shop. There is a good pool on site and a small gym

I twice asked for a Norma pasta and they both times accommodated my request although it wasn't in the menu. The menu is a bit complicated for my taste and the deserts offered were only standard tiramisu and cheese cake

That being said, the pool and the staff are nice

in Sicily?! with what Sicilian patisserie can offer?! the guys in the kitchen should look into this. The only thing I would say negatively is that the bathroom on my second stay was with a bathtub and old accessories

A very nice hotel just outside of Catania and near the airport. it has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good air-conditioning. Their restaurant is very good too

I am sure they will renovate this soon. Girls at the front desk were very helpful and have been there for many years, which is nice to see

With my family we find the hotel NH Catania PDA as a very good choice for family stay in Sicily

Having traveled the entire island, I can say that among city hotels this is the best with its small beach where herons roam!!! With Turkish requests, it’s better not to come here; they won’t court you, but the opportunity to walk to the center and the fishing port with a cafe and the freshest seafood is worth it!!! The combination of price, location and private beach tunnel directly from the hotel...

The beach is 15 euros, 15 euros pool, so think before you take. Parking is free. The breakfasts are great, service is great, the service, the rooms, the location is super.

The staff (such as the reception, the employees at breakfast, the cleaning ladies, the employees at the pool) went out of their way to make us feel at home (in this Corona time)

Great hotel. Had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Delicious Breakfast. The hotel is located close to a large supermarket, couple of cafes. In General, a great place

The position is great, rigth in front of the sea. Near the hotel you can find everything: bar, restaurant, supermarket, atm, Tabasco’s all in 200 meters from the hotel

My room was number 210 and I had the luck to meet signora Serafina, she is fantastic and gave me lots of advices. Every time I’ll be in Catania I’ll come back in this hotel

The hotel is at perfect price range. The staff is friendly. Whichever I asked for, they did it with a big smile. The reszaurant is pretty good too.

Good hotel. 5 min. Drive from the Catania Airport. Don't walk there from the airport. It was overall a good 4 star experience.

To the sea 200 meters. Really need to cross the road. There are a good restaurants. Clean. All the equipment is working, that Italy was not the case. Good Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea.

Very friendly and supporting staff. Breakfast on the roof terrace with view towards the sea was super beautiful. Negative part was the noises from outside and inside hotel

The breakfast was very rich and tasty There was a misunderstanding between the hotel and the agency through which we booked the rooms, the hotel staff (Đovani) found rooms for us at night and resolved the misunderstanding with the agency in the morning

Absolutely fabulous stay at the Plaza. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are good with nice views. Christiono was particularly helpful and attentative to our every need

The hotel is in a great location, really close to the beach and only a short trip into Catania town. The setting is idyllic and leafy, rooms are well fitted and spacious, even the twins

Reception Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, especially with things like recommendations and taxi booking (really exceptional here) entertainment in the bar on the evening was a little kitsch, our room didn't get cleaned on the second night despite removing the dnd sign

Certainly sets the right mood and ambiance for an enjoyable, memorable, fun filled event for groups of any size. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a meeting room or conference event

The hotel staff especially Terese and Umberto were outstanding. Rooms were a little dated but very clean. Thank You to all of the staff. Leave your card in the slot for the AC to work

Ideal location away from Catania overlooking a fishing harbour and a short walk to train station. You can't buy a ticket there and it is worrying as you have to 'validate ' your ticket before you get on the train!

Car rental (specify automatic first, if needed), tour and taxi service (specify Visa card first or you'll need euros), can all be arranged thru the front desk

Great location right on the coast, and friendly helpful staff. Breakfast offerings were a bit slim, but there's cafes all over the place so not an issue.

But friendly ticket inspector lets you pay on the train! I travel alone so the welcome i get is very important. This i received along with a smart room

Outstanding restaurant is right next door (+ 24 hour bar 2 minutes away). Fresh, free buffet breakfast with free espresso upon request

The chalets could do with a “spruce up” although practical they do look a little tired, I had to ask for hand towels, I also asked if I could have an extra bath towel so that I could go for a dip in the sea and the answer was an immediate No

one of the waiters was extremely rude when I said that I wanted a pizza, he just said that I should’ve asked if they did pizzas before he’d opened my beer, call me silly but I’ve never ever walked into a pizzeria and asked if they did pizzas!! 😂 Ok apart from a couple of gripes it looked like the place was fun and the beach with its little bar was popular

The beach is close by, though they are getting ready for summer time. We were told that a lot of families stay here during summer

For a beach place on a budget it was ok

Has a lot of cats, was confusing getting here because there is a lot of road construction and signs are not clearly marked once you make a U turn it is the very next right turn which we missed and it took us 5 mins to turn around

The breakfast was ok - your normal caffeine options, bread, butter and jam, cornettos and juices. Would I stay here again - only if I am headed to the airport the very next morning

My wife and I spent 13 days at this hotel. The hotel is at the center of the main street in Catania. From the balcony we saw Etna spewing the lava. Our room was big, bathroom nice and clean

Excellent cheaper restaurants nearby. hmmm, resolved yourself (not easy). Very stylish once ready so I believe. Not everyone speaks Spanish, English or German though

Bed and towels changed every day. Breakfast is what you expect from the continent. If there is a negative I would say a bit noise from outside

I found it good (to mention: I have been literally travelling around the world). Altogether 1 star added because I like the Italian mentality

But it did not spoil any thing as we got up early and took the car around Sicily

The location is great, and the hotel is not expensive, but don't expect a room with a view, or staff with a smile. Oh and ... beware of mosquitoes :-(

A very warm reception upon arrival. This b&b is full of Sicilian character and charm. Clean, quiet, homy yet centrally located. Full access to dining room complete with coffee machine and delicious delectable delights

Location is great, close to the airport and the central bus station. Staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very tasty. Bedroom is clean and has everything needed to make a pleasant stay

Amazing high ceilings and beautiful interior are the extension of the Catania's exceptional experience

There are not many rooms available, so other than breakfast, you barely noticed that you were sharing the BnB with other people! All in all, would recommend to others looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Catania!

Fresh croissants with different fillings from the bakery around the corner were delivered each morning as well. You can tell Victoria which you prefer and she'll reserve fine specially for you

First thing first: the host we met Victoria is an angel. Anything we say about how helpful and friendly she was won't be enough. Tips for local sightseeing, free concerts, special places etc

The hotel is alittle outsider of center . It's quiet place with swimming pool , Tennis ... , friendly and helpful staff from reception to restaurant 😀 . Private parking and Beach just cross the street .

The hotel is in a fairly good location, beach across the street. Despite the fact that it is located by the quite busy street, it was very quiet and peaceful

Easy to get to the city centre, where You can find good and affordable restaurants, where I recomend to have dinners

This place has an amazing beach and it is not expensive. Very close proximity to the airport, a highway and some shopping malls

The bungalows with a window overlooking the sea, good value for money, close to airport, friendly staff. Only negative is the restaurant... maybe because it is still the season has not taken off☺

Tgat free and clean beach (in the late April) is the reason for a positive rating

Honestly it’s actually quite a nice place, we are here in winter with a camper, only people staying here. The staff at the bar and restaurant are lovely and we have been getting along really well

The place is for sure run down but good news is that there is a bunch of people working on it now and hopefully by summer it will be looking good!

Mess looks to be a normal state here, which is not good or bad, it is just something you may like as a backpacker or a surfer, or consider unacceptable as a family or someone looking for a safer or cleaner place

Very well kept hotel, charming staff, very nice and spacious rooms. Hotel's breakfast is very good as well as the bar and restaurant. Also appreciated the free shuttle service to the beach

Highly recommended hotel, although a bit far from the centre of Catania. which on the other hand, is easily reached by bus from the hotel

I do not recommend it, it is the worst hotel I have visited in Italy. The rooms are dirty, completely uncomfortable and stuffy. it is not 4 stars

The room was good with a wonderful view and the private beach and bicycles were a bonus! There were plenty of things to do especially in the centre of Catania where it was quick to cycle to

The main balcony and some rooms overlook the bahi di Ognina, there is a beach in front but during our stay it was quite dirty, it is more of a jetty

Very good service, rooms are newly renovated and nice decoration. Vito is a great host and very friendly. The views are amazing. There are two parking lots outside and can use the house bicycles.

Lovely bed and breakfast resort! The staff were all very friendly and Vito gave great advice on things such as excursions and restaurants to eat at

Overall stay for was wonderful!!

The price includes breakfast in addition to a minibar with drinks in the room. The correct breakfast, we had a little late but good. The Rooms very clean, and quite comfortable, we had a triple room overlooking the road
