We spent 6 days in this quietly luxurious hotel very well placed for skiing around the Dolomites (Sellaronda). Wonderful and modern spa with a very skilled masseuse. Great service (was Hercule Poirot as a guest waiter at the restaurant, or was it just the moustache that got me confused? 🥸 ), and seemless tranfer to the ski lifts. A very skilled and mischievous barman helped us spend very nice evenings with lovely live music. A very nice and homely atmosphere, although the outdated decoration, may not be to everyone's taste.

Staying in Hotel Sassongher was the best decision we've made in our Dolomites vacation. The staff and the owner were very nice and accommodating. The food that was served for breakfast and dinner was amazing especially the steak. My wife had tried other tiramisu in Italy and she also makes it but she still can't get over their tiramisu. Thank you, Hotel Sassongher!

Its a magnificient alpine hotel, two words what you can expect: tradition & warmth: classical fitout, classical cuisine, and staff which is extremly attentive but also truely caring. We had many great interactions with them, especially how they talked with the children, makes you feel truly welcome.
The hotel is a 15min walk from the village centre, but it pais back with a beautiful view over the village with its elevated position.
And bycicle friendly as well, btw.

This was my eighth visit to the Dolomites but my first time in Corvara and the first time at hotel Sassongher.
I must say, the experience was exceptional. My five friends and I habitually opt for 4/5 star accommodations, yet the level of service at this hotel surpassed our expectations.
From the bar with live pianist/singer (with a great, and not too loud, voice / music) to breakfast, the ski shuttle service, and the universally amiable staff — ranging from the receptionists to the housekeeping team — every aspect was flawless.
To everyone at the Sassongher Hotel: my great compliments! You made our stay one of the best we ever experienced!

I lost my phone and wallet, someone brought it back to this hotel. Nice people at the service desk. It is a quiet place with a nice lobby, it looked like it was a fine place for somewhat older people

Sassongher is a well managed hotel. All the staff work like an entire family. Great food and exceptional service at the restaurant. Concierge Paula is the best. Bravo!
