After the renovation, this hotel changed a lot. It is up to date to what more modern hotels offer. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The location is perfect as it is next to the castle.

I come often for work to Ferrara, but I love to stay next to the Castello. During this pandemic I've been already twice here and the service is amazing. It's difficult for me to find places in Italy where I can get Gluten-free food (due to my allergy). The location is perfect: about 200 meters far from the Castello Estense. The rooms and service are very good too: everything is clean and perfectly working in the room and the breakfast's menu is quite complete.

The service was awesome, with staff going out of their way to assist us. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. :) Fantastic spot close to the sights :)))))

Optimal position, in the center. Friendly staff, always smiling and helpful even if only present from 9 to 20 more or less. The double room was minimal and nicely decorated even though the view was on the roof. Positive aspect was the luggage storage. Value for money more than fair

I really liked the Smart concept, essential services with excellent quality, price, courtesy, cleanliness, location! Smart means a clean room with soap dispensers, as the big hotel chains are doing, no breakfast but there are 2 bars one in front of the hotel and one at 10 meters, very central, 5 minutes on foot a public parking cost. € 4.20 per day. We chose Zen for its excellent positivity as it is located in front of the castle but in reality this factor turned out to be only one of the many positives. Friendly and helpful staff. Large and clean room and bathroom. We chose the breakfast option and had a great time. I advise.

I've stayed in the hotel a night, just a week ago. The location of the hotel is perfect. You are in the old town and there are some nice places to visit around. The suite was not at the level of the suite I have expected but I recommend the hotel and Ferrara. The main square and the castle are just there under your nose. Reasonable priced hotel with large rooms and good breakfast. Breakfast is plentiful (international). Quite ok hotel for short stay. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is commendable. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, both in front office and breakfast, always extremely kind and available. The hotel was comfortable and clean, the position is strategic with a mall and easy access to means of transportation nearby. Breakfast was plenty and varied. Excellent cost-benefit experience.

We were traveling from Vienna to Rome by car so this was a good place to stop for the night and be able have a brief look at Ferrara itself which is well worth a visit. Hotel was very comfortable and very good value. The old town was easy to reach by car.
