I spent a week in the hotel Maddalena a quiet place surrounded by nature ... beautiful sea and Tropea is beautiful. The only complaint I made to the staff is the poor hygiene I found dirty mattress covers and pillows we asked for the change and they told us they couldn't do anything about it and that we still had to pay for the cleaning done by them we paid but we left feeling sorry and disappointed...

I was a guest of this fantastic property in July and my family had a great time. The environment is clean and well cared for, the rooms are always tidy and the ladies in charge are kind and polite. We stayed at the property in the week of August, a fantastic well-kept, quiet place just 10 minutes from Tropea and the neighboring beaches. The room was perfect. Pro: -very clean; -AC and towels provided; -frendly owners; -breakfast was very good; -a lot of people understand english; Contra: -the location, the accommodation is 40 minutes away from Tropea by walking and placed on the hill. So is almost impossible to go to the house by your feet. We were 2 and always found a hitching car to travel to the city and back;

Cozy room where you can move freely. Large bathroom with spacious shower, good location for quality price. Only a closet was missing something to hang clothes, then great!

As I understood it’s family runned business. They stuff is very kind , however doesn’t speak well English . The location - if you are arriving by car - no issue , however google maps might say you a wrong address as it happened to me. We have just enjoyed a couple of nights in this delightful residence. The owners Francesco and Tiziana were very charming and helpful. The pools were nice and refreshing! The breakfast was nice. Location was good - only about a 10 minute walk to the centre. The air conditioning in the room was so loud and controlled by reception so we could only turn it on or off. We tried to call reception but our phone wasn’t working. Great place for the budget conscious whilst still within easy reach of the main areas in Tropea. Rooms are simple and clean. Only negative was our room was a little smelly from the bathroom drainage traps, and the shower was extremely small and hard to wash in. Otherwise good enough for a short stay.

The apartment we booked into was as described but having the junior suite we had expected a bigger room. 16m2 and a low sloping ceiling so you couldn't stand at the head of the bed did not work for us. We spent 3 nights in this little hotel. We were there in December (off-season) so it was very quiet and empty in the hotel and the town. The room was small but comfortable. Location: 5-10 min on foot to Old Town and viewpoints, restaurants, shops etc. 20 min on foot there are 2 big supermarkets, bank with ATM. Railway station Tripea is 10 min on foot from B&B. My general experience was around or a bit below 4* - the hotel location is okay (close to the centre and to the railway station, but no nice views around), old but clean furniture, comfortable beds with uncomfortable pillows. Street noise was quite noticeable, earplugs were needed. Breakfast was okay, too. I'm giving the 5th star for the courtesy and kindness of the hotel staff :) thanks!

Great location, close to everything, and the restaurant attached was absolutely fantastic! All was great except for the toilet issues, it would flush and not stop and sound like it was going to fall through the floor. Otherwise having access to a van to get to the beach was nice after a long day in the sun, and it was a nice atmosphere, quiet and just off the busy road so not loud at night with people...
