The best resort in Tropea! The staff welcomed us with open arms & was so kind. I cannot say enough good things about the receptionist, Mariella. She was so helpful & kind - a beautiful soul! Told us all the best restaurants to go to, made sure we were safe & happy at all times. My only regret was not treating her to dinner one night! Con tanto amore, grazie mille Mariella - ci vediamo presto!

Expensive service beds (25-30 a day) privat beach. Dont go thereJust go to beach near boats, or in town for free.
Poolbistro only food for 1 hour a day
Orange juice fresh only possible for body builders (you need power)
Juice from automat awfull.
Dont buy clothes in town. To expensive but shein quality.
Lovely old town and friendly staff. Clean rooms

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Tropea. I have celiac disease so it's always lovely when a place can accommodate you without worry. The staff at the hotel and restaurant went out of their way to make sure everything I ate was safe and that I had options. The dinner was fantastic. Lots of antipasti to choose from and the pasta and main was prepared separately. Same for breakfast with fresh gluten free corneti served to me personally by the most fantastic waiter, Antonio. Rooms were modern and clean and the hotel is a 7 min walk down the road to the city centre. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel claims 4 stars, promising comfort, quality, and service. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. COMFORT: We booked an economy room, expecting to manage with a smaller space. However, nearly half of the room was under a vaulted ceiling, forcing us to bend constantly. It was not just uncomfortable but a safety hazard. When we asked for a different room, we were told this was the "STANDARD ECONOMY ROOM," a fact hidden in the Expedia photos. It felt insulting. QUALITY: Cleanliness was good, but many aspects were disappointing. A 4-star hotel should replace used cups and refill tea bags daily. The pool was small and cold, and the gym was a joke. While the breakfast buffet was varied and good, and the dinner buffet decent, charging an extra 3 euros for water on top of a 35-euro buffet was absurd. SERVICE: The reception staff, particularly Anna and Mariella, were shockingly rude. At check-in, we weren’t offered help with our luggage despite having to carry it to the third floor without an elevator. At checkout, we were charged an extra 70 euros. When we questioned this, we were told to send an email to see if a mistake had been made, implying we were lying. No apology was offered. You might think I’m exaggerating, but my husband and I travel six months of the year, staying in various accommodations. We've been all over Italy, and this was by far the worst experience we've had. We are still hoping to get our refund but are not optimistic.

Stay far away from Sentido Michelizia Tropea Resort.
While Tropea is undoubtedly a beautiful destination, I strongly advise against choosing Sentido Michelizia Resort for your stay. Our experience was marred by not being able to check into our room until 8pm, false room descriptions, an unbearably hot 3rd floor attic room, moldy conditions in the shower, shuttle service nightmares, and booking issues. The hotel's overall disregard for guest satisfaction and comfort made our stay a true nightmare.
We will definitely return to Tropea, but never to this hotel. It was a truly terrible experience, and I hope this review serves as a warning to others considering a stay here. Expect to wait over an hour for beach pickup shuttle service, in very hot conditions. And then when you get back and ask reception for a bottle of water, they point you to purchase it at the bar. We reserved and confirmed a 2pm beach pickup, after calling at 2:20pm and 2:40pm they finally arrived at 3pm.
Our air condition could not keep up with the demand and were left to sleep in an 84F/29C room for 2 nights. We cut our stay short by a night because we could not take it and the hotel did not attempt to do anything except offer a fan. The hotel even made us pay for the 3rd night but to us, it was worth wasting the money if it meant leaving this place. The most attention the Front Desk gave was when we were walking to our vehicle and they begged us not to write a negative review (we never mentioned anything about a review).

Boring rooms, uncomfortable beds. Thin walls. Shower took 3 minutes to get hot water and then it switches to ice cold for 5 seconds and then back again.
Cleaning lady unlocks our door at 9 in the morning and wakes us up by GOING in to the room when we are still in bed. NOT OK! They don’t change the sheets or the towels.
Beautiful pool area with majestic view and a really lovely breakfast buffet.
Overall I am disappointed and would recommend you to chose another hotel.

Unfortunately, I just can't recommend this hotel. I am not sure about the 4 star raiting. In this hotel there are only two good things: pool area and breakfast. Most of the rooms are very small (18m2) and I can say these rooms are not for two persons. At least if you stay there with your friend/family. My room was not in the main building and I believe I got the smallest/cheapest room because I booked the trip from travel agency.
About the room: I can relate to other comments about the shower. Shower was terrible. Hot (almost felt like boiling water) and cold water alternately. And the shower drain did not drain the water properly which is quite annoying. The air conditioner worked but it was relatively loud.
In my opinion the room was worth 2 stars.
About the food:
I ate twice in the restaurant and I was surprised how tasteless it was. Breakfast was super good so I just don't know what happend with the other foods.
NOTE: Also make sure you take the receipt (or ask, because they might not give you that) and keep it safe! They try to add drinks to your final bill. That happend to us. It was just couple of drinks but I felt quite bad. You can also ask to see all the receipts once you are paying the room bill. I did not realize/remember it at that time so it was my own mistake.
About the service:
Some of the staff members are very friendly and nice, but I could clearly feel that this hotel favors the national visitors. Restaurant staff were super nice!
Location:
Location was good in my opinion. Slowly walking it took about 10-15min to center. To the beach (Rotonda beach) it takes about 5-10 min more. I would recommend the Spiaggia della Contura beach. Bit more walking but the beach is not so full of people than others. There is quite many rocks in the bottom of the sea though. There is also very good beach Cafe and friendly staff.

Lovely resort, the personal was very nice and helpful, especially the beautiful Isabella from reception.
It's fairly close to the city center, a pleasant 600 meter walk, free parking, lovely breakfast.
Only 2 issues:
Their beach is 20 minutes away, not by the resort.
No sidewalk to walk on when going to the city center, can be dangerous on these narrow streets where traffic comes both ways.

The hotel seemed to be a great place once. But then they did something what Germans call “verschlimmbessern” - worsening with the intention to make something better. They enlarged the restaurant with integrating the once great terrace for a breakfast outside into the restaurant. Good thing, there is a new sun chair section at the upper pool! Also they were shrinking the necessary beach transfer to unnecessary and inconvenient time in order to prepare for a full cancellation of this service.
But the worst is the quality and politeness off the staff. They do not see your needs, make every easy thing even more complicated and the travel agency contact person was hardly ever seen in the hotel.
The rooms are very tiny, worn out, toilet flush did not work, there are no desks in the rooms to write an e-mail and the closets are missing shelf racks or drawers to place a t-shirt or underwear conveniently. Room service was not available even not on request or per surcharge. The room safe was out of order and would not be fixed.
This hotel is not very nice to handicapped people and they do not help them with their needs. There were no accessible rooms offered and tiny, slippery staircases did not help to gain trust. I thought accessible room would be mandatory in Italy these days.
This was the experience before booking: Very unpolite staff, especially the receptionist lady and the agency Valentour: Requests for special requirements and room arrangements for handicapped people were ignored and not taken care of. Requests to speak to the manager and confirmations were promised but never happened. Don’t book this hotel which obviously does not wish to see people with disabilities!
