Hotel Aurora

Historic hotel well located in Jesolo. By now I must have frequented about fifteen different hotels in Jesolo and I was really curious to try a weekend at the Aurora. It turned out to be a pleasant experience overall but evidence of any emotion that can be linked to a 4 star superior and, indeed, some significant flaws. Small but clean room with a nice terrace, common areas that are dated but may please, although perhaps not to everyone. Old but pleasant swimming pool, well-kept outdoor spaces. Friendly staff, especially the service and dining room staff. The real sore points are in the catering, which is really below expectations. There is no appetizer buffet but only salads. The choice is made on a menu with a sufficient selection but of low-cost and mediocrely cooked food. There is only one fish course, first and second course, the others are meat or vegetarian. Equally disappointing breakfast, for example the cooked ham that is served is a shoulder of very low quality, with an unappealing color. Both in the case of dinner and breakfast, if you arrive even just 30-40 minutes after the start of service, the empty plates of the various proposals are not integrated. At dinner the salad and dessert buffet in particular ended early and, even if you asked, you didn't get anything. For breakfast there were more empty plates than full ones, even for simple croissants. In short, really saving money. Unacceptable for a 4 star superior. Water at the table, on the other hand, is served at 4.50 euros a bottle. A truly excessive markup for an essential good.
