Reviews
I came for an exhibition next door, and the main interest of the hotel was its location and the fact it had a parking. It didn't disappoint me for this, I could walk to the exhibition center next door, And it had a parking. A parking too small for its needs unfortunately, but they managed to make it work.
No issue with reception, all fine with the people working there!
The rooms were quite small, but with a wide balcony. It was a bit soulless, and difficult to find a corner to plug the computer an work. Luckily they had some Italian sockets and some European sockets so that it is easier to plug 🔌 devices from anywhere in Europe (not always like this in Italy!). The TV was not of quality, those cheap TVs that take 3s to load a channel so you either pick a channel you like and never change or always keep the TV off.
The main issue to work and deal with my emails once back at the room was the internet which was extremely slow ! Making it difficult to do anything.
Breakfast, was disappointing, both in diversity and quality of the products. The pastries (croissants etc) though we're very good, felt fresh and diverse.
Swimming pool on the rooftop is a nice touch, is clean, doesn't taste of chlorine, a bit fresh but fine in this season. But it is not adapted to the size of the hotel, on the first day, I arrived there after chrckin at 16h and all the sunbeds were already taken, and you wonder why you pay... They had a long list of rules of "not to do" at the pool but they forgot basic hygiene and confort as smoking was not forbidden and some people were polluting the tranquility of their neighbours with their cigarettes...
The hotel is in the heart of the Lido de Jesolo, easy Access to the street where all the restaurants etc are. ice-cream places were nice, Lidl wasn't far walking, but all the restaurants were more adapted for German taste than for Italian taste. It was very difficult to find any authentic place despite the high concentration of restaurants...
All in all, it was okay because it was for work, but for this level of quality I would expect the price to be a third of what it actually was.
Food in the restaurant was lovely but very repetitive the menu doesn't change, but they add a special dish to it every night which always seemed to be fish.
The rooftop pool is glorious and had no trouble getting a bed regardless of what time of day it was.
Couldn't fault the location, it was perfect.
Would recommend a stay here.
Everything was prepared when we arrived with all the info we would need.
Awesome service and really professional experience from Salem at the bar even though he was all alone, he made sure all guests are happy and had what they've asked for!
Location is perfect and in the heart of the shopping street, 3mins walk to the beach and public transportation easy access to Venice and shopping center, etc.
Our room was really small and we did not have enough space to move, yet we thought it was practical for a short vacation, but overall does not meet expectations for a 4 star hotel.
Beds are not comfortable, they're hostel like.
Have to say, great job from the cleaning staff as the room was always spotless clean and tidy! Simply thank you! 😊
Cool fact, they provide nice bicycles according to availability for free! (Reservations preferred)
Roof top pool is nice and offers a nice view with a lounge area.
Private and safe parking available with no extra costs.
WiFi is slow but works well for texting.
The rooms are very small, it gives the old style ship cabin-feel which seems to be the hotels theme. The room comes with a mini fridge (without water or other drinks) and there is no kettle or coffee machine in the room. The bathrooms are also very tiny and so is the shower cabin. The main reason for giving the room just one star would be the beds as they're pretty hard and come with one flat pillow which didn't allow comfortable sleep. On top of that the walls are so thin that you can hear practically everything that's happening on your floor and around your room.
The highlight of the hotel is the extremely welcoming, friendly and hardworking staff. They deserve five stars, especially the room cleaning must be a great challenge due to the sizes of the rooms. We only booked breakfast as there are many food options around with lots of variety. The breakfast was a small selection of everything and the coffee from the bar was really good.
Another plus is that you can rent a bicycle for free for some sight seeing. Also, there are options to park your vehicle free of charge.
The location is also great if you're looking to go for a day trip to Venice. The needed public transportation that takes you to the ferry is right across the street and the tourist information (to buy the tickets) is also just a 2 min walk away.
Overall for us an okay stay in a great location.
Now the big downside. The roof pool is lovely, perfect for families enjoying themsleves and completely safe, with it being very enclosed. However, the hotel allowed 9 (I think it was) 20 something South German or Austrian boys (their accents sounded southern anyway) to book in - all they wanted to do was get trashed, playing awful music and downing beers and mojitos. They did this in the jacuzzi next to baby pool, smoking constantly and generally messing around. They were there for 3 or 4 nights, and for 2 of these days (we stopped going there the third), the pool area was not a nice place to be around. A number of us complained, but still the hotel served them alcohol. They weren't aggressive or anything like that, but they were seemingly totally ignorant that there were people around, and some of them with kids (like us), literally staring open mouthed at their stupidity. I have no problem with Germanic people, as me and wife have visited Germany and Austria many times since to 90s and we really like the people - but this bunch were beyond! There were girls with them the first day, and after seeing how awful the boys were, even they decided not to go anywhere near them!
Thankfully we had a lovely last day around the pool - very busy, but a lovely kind of busy with families and couples and a group of German youngsters who were there before and after the others left, and they were lovely. They used the bar services, but weren't all out to get trashed.
Now, I know it sounds like sour grapes here, but we complained to the hotel before, during and after checking out, and got the response of firstly shock and an apology (after which it carried on), secondly the receptionist said they'd pay for the damage they caused, and thirdly that they booked separately so the hotel didn’t know they were a group. All of which I found ridiculous. The main point I made to them, was that THE HOTEL was the one giving them alcohol, allowing them to continue to order even when staggering around in a roof top pool area. The hotel's inability to admit THEIR part in this has made cross and I even asked them to comment before I posted this review, but they’ve not replied.
In conclusion, we spent over £1500 for a week B&B, the hotel is lovely, set back from the main strip, with some noise from clubs etc. Breakfast is lovely (typical Italian style) and the waiting staff are too. Rooms are great as was the cleaner. We also were given free tickets to the local water park, which was great. Such a shame that they allowed the group to spoil the hotel for us and many many others.Show less
