A hidden Gem on the outskirts of Lucca, easily accessible with a garage just meters up the road to ensure your car is away from the road and behind closed doors (€20 a night but it's cheaper than the pay booths outside on the pavement). Nice place. Very friendly but not very helpful when something doesn't work. They "fixed" the broken fridge by putting some ice packs after I explained how important it was for us to keep our baby's milk cold during the night. The ice packs were warm by midnight.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming B&B. It is centrally located just right outside the wall. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had in our 3 weeks in Italy. The hosts were very helpful, and booked 2 fabulous places for dinner for us. If we are able to make it back to Lucca, we would definitely stay here again.

Arriving at the B&B is like being welcomed into a warm family home. Giovanna and Francesco are such lovely hosts and we felt really comfortable during our stay. The towels and linen are very good quality and we were surprised how large our room and bathroom was as the website doesn’t do them justice. We recently stayed here, September 2025, and here are our pros and cons. Pro’s: Great location to historic Lucca city, 5 minute walk. Great rustic Italian atmosphere. Delicious breakfast every morning. Very clean room. Con’s: Very, very noisy. Traffic and barking dogs. Hard to sleep. Even though there was a thermostat that said air conditioning it didn’t work. We had to sleep with the windows...

A comfortable stay of 4 nights. Lucca is a lovely, small city with a friendly atmosphere. This is a family (delightful hosts) run b&b in a great location near the station and 300 metres from the city walls.

B&B location is just outside of the old city walls, easy walk. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is in a 200 year old building but very well maintained. My only complaint is that the chairs in the room were very small. Staff was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

It is very difficult to write a less than stellar review of a family-run establishment with a lovely host. But the opinions stated below are purely mine and may not reflect the opinions of other guests. First the pros: 1. convenient location right outside the walls of Lucca next to the train station. Very spacious and clean rooms. The breakfast / living room is also large and very bright. Given the season we could not take advantage of the outdoor space surrounded by olive trees. Paolo is very kind, very helpful and very patient!

Wonderful host - very friendly and helpful! The villa and the rooms are beautifully decorated with an outstanding level of taste. One can feel that the facility was furnished with love and not - as commonly seen today - only cheap cheap cheap. The city walls are 6min walking and I recommend everyone a walk on the forested city walls which enclose Lucca entirely!

The place was owned by an elderly couple and was lovely. It felt like we were staying at grandma's place! The owners were accommodating to our unexpectedly late check in. In the morning breakfast was simple but good and we were served by the spectacularly hospitable and helpful elderly lady. Great stay!

At home bed and breakfast was so quiet it was so close to the Arena just walk down the stairs around the corner and you were in the arena where there are lots of restaurants interesting entertainment breakfast was excellent lovely fruit salad yoghurt meats and cheese kept you going all day

After spending a night far away on the mountains we decided to spend the following night in the center of Lucca's old city. Marko who took the reservation was very helpful and kind. Great B&B close to the fun. Our room was very impressive; large with great decorating in a really old building. Many medieval stairs to climb but worth it! The owner Marco and his assistant Vanya were super nice and very helpful. The breakfast was outstanding, Vanya bakes the best croissants ever!! Would stay again if we return to Lucca!

Great place for families! We stayed at Villa Corte degli Dei with our children and had a wonderful time. The room was clean, spacious and perfect for a family. The villa is quiet, safe and very close to the center of Lucca. Check-in was easy, parking is convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it to families visiting the area!

We enjoyed our stay very much at Villa Corte Degli Dei. Our room was very nice, the grounds are beautiful, plenty of parking and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in early May 2025. This hotel had two castle like buildings for guests. This hotel was fairly new and the pool was large and beautiful. The free breakfast was very nice spread of various foods. The gated facility provided free parking. The walk to the Lucca city wall was about 15 minutes.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. This place is great fun. Georgia, the manager is a star, effortlessly organising everything with great charm. We had a difficult arrival late at night, thank you EasyJet for cancelling our earlier flight we suspect because it was only half full. We were put in room 7 on the second floor , not suitable for 70 year olds! Georgia moved us the next day to a ground floor room with a delightful sitting...

Old and charming My plan was to book a small hotel closer to Pisa so I didn't check the maps enough and we ended up a bit away...but that was a blessing instead because this small town is old and very beautiful. The B&B is old and very charming so we ended up having a lovely stay.

The distance from Lucca was too far for someone not with a car although there was a bus service. The rooms were very clean and tiled as was the bathroom which was quite large. The staff I encountered only spoke Italian bar one who wasn't always there so it was to my advantage that I had a little Italian. The majority of the visitors appeared to be Italian. We stayed here four nights. Our room was fine. Just the basics and nothing fancy, though it had a safe and a small refrigerator. There is no real view but the area is quiet. We rode our bikes into Lucca, which was about 8 km, most of it on a bike path. The breakfast is okay but the breads can be stale (my guess is that they are renewed every other day). For the price, it is a very good value...

We had a wonderful stay in Lucca! Monica was super kind and welcoming. The room was excellent, with a beautiful view of the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. Beware - I booked through ******* but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. Our last night in Italy after spending two weeks in a Tuscan villa. Great air on a hot day. Secluded and cozy; a jewel in the crown of Lucca.

We loved our stay at this hotel / B&B. Walking distance from trainstation and located nearly in city center. Lucca is worth a stay. Great to walk around. We were warmly welcomed. Quiet area, bed good, bathroom and shower good, airco works properly. Small fridge cooled our drinks. We would certainly recommend a stay here to our friends!

Stayed a weekend with my wife. The structure is very clean and Riccardo, the owner, is truly an excellent person, very kind and helpful to the maximum. 5 minute walk from the old city wall and with a wonderful breakfast to start each day our 4 night stay couldn't have been better. We were lucky with street parking right in front of building; not sure if legal but we were assured it was OK and turned out to be so. So close to the old city, but being just outside enabled easy local area car journeys.

We stayed here for just 1 night on the 17th August. Two women run this small 3 bedroom B&B, who are very friendly and there if you need them. The b&b is situated in the center so extremely comfortable. I recommend this b&b to couples with or without children. Thank you for a great stay!

In the town of Conversano where contemporary buildings are built into the walls of the ancient castle, on a tiny side street of nondescript edifices a massive wooden double door opens onto the lovely patio garden at il Corte dei Nobili, the "Court of the Nobles." What a charming B&B. The staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable beds with a good working shower. Lovely pool and gardens to relax in. Walking into town takes about 15 mins and taxis are easily bookable. Not ideal for disabled people due to lots of stairs.

Very good pension. Clean, well maintained, well managed. The location is somewhat further from the city center, but bikes are available free of charge to get there. The only bit to be improved is breakfast, which might be more generous.

The B&B Alma is a very convenient Bed&Breakfast. It is close enough to Lucca center, by car, and situated across a shopping center where it is possible to park the car (for free); if you do not have a car, it is easy to use the bus (LAM Blue line) to get to the center of Lucca. Serena does a wonderful job keeping the hotel clean, with good breakfast and giving helpful tourist information.

Right off of the Piazza with the cathedral, the location is wonderful. As for the vista? We didn't have one. But our room was a good size and included an outdoor covered space with room to wash clothes if needed (in a sink). The bathroom was small, but got the job done.
