Hotel fairly modern, but lacked facilities, like a swimming pool with spa and bar to relax in after a hot day in town. Rooms are fairly spartan in terms of decor and comfort. Not much in area to investigate. Probably ok for single night business users, but could do better for holiday makers, which we were.

Theres a supermarket but a long walk, and a very good pizzaria nearby. Good service and attitude from the staff of BW, surprising from Italians. Fluent in English and more than happy to assist. Please take that as a compliment. One of the best hotel i've stayed so far in Italy.

A very comfortable hotel situated about 2kms east of Lucca town centre on Via Romano.. Rooms were spacious, a huge king sized bed and a spotless bathroom with shower and bidet. The reception are was light and airy with various sofas. Only criticism was that my room was unbearably hot overnight so I opened the large windows and that remedied the issue. I travel a lot for work but in this case I treated myself to a weekend in Lucca with my family. Very comfortable and friendly. I broke my ankle and could not stay in previously booked apartment. This resort was the best thing that could have happened. Ground floor, easy access with wheelchair and crutches. Easy to shower. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Genuenly amazing staff, everyone was super friendly I sprained my ankle during my vacation (had nothing to do with the hotel), the manager (Stefano) did not only help me get an ambulance to the hospital, but he also came and picked me up and drove me back from the hospital, as well as offering us a swap to a room on the ground floor, so i didnt have to limp up the stairs. Lovely self contained studio apartment, very neatly done. We had a balcony overlooking the pool. Location about 500m outside the wall which was fine for us.

I was recently here for a weekend stay with my study abroad group and the staff here were super friendly and welcoming to all of us! Especially the front desk and breakfast room staff! Location is very centralized within the city, a quick bike ride to the outer wall and even the train station. I will definitely be coming back here!

Fabulous hotel in a fantastic location within the walls of the city. A short stroll from the walls and everything in the city is within a 10 minute walk. Stayed here for 5 nights with a group of my friends ranging from 17-18 year olds, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and made our stay great. Do not stay in the exterior “Wall” rooms. We were initially placed in the exterior room in the city wall across from the main hotel but the room was incredibly dreary, dull and depressing. Great breakfast, very nice staff , close to the city walls. Internet was a bit erratic but ok but the biggest problem is that the walls and doors seem to be paper-thin there is a lot of noise coming from every direction into the room

The Hotel Napoleon, Lucca, Italy was a great place. The rooms were spacious, very clean, excellent linen, in walking distance to central Lucca and Railway Station. Relaxing and elegant place. Historical Villa with free parking, gym and swimming pool. The restaurant is also worthy with a wide gourmet plates menu.

The hotel is in the ancient city of Lucca and if you find the right entrance in the city wall (and parking space) it would be a good start. Unfortunately, the navigation offered us a tricky way, then we needed to get thru the alleyways packed with tourists on Sunday afternoon ... finally the receptionist helped to make us out of the ZTL risk and to get a parking space. I've just spent a few days in this lovely, comfortable hotel which is ideally situated just outside the city walls, only minutes from everything this city has to offer . We had 5 wonderful days at Grand Universe Lucca in Oct. 21. The hotel is newly renovated and very nice. But the best was the very friendly service of the hotel staff. We visited the Tenuta already 5 times and now we are even celebrating our wedding there. The view is amazing as the hotel is settled in the middle of the vineyards. There are only around 10 rooms, which makes the amtmosphere in the hotel very familiar and warm. The personell is very kind and attentive, especially Eleonora! The rooms are very small and there are no proper sockets for charging devices or connecting anything!!

Staff was friendly but the rooms were a bit worn down. Fan of the airco couldn't be adjusted and some parts of the hotel had a sewage smell. One good thing was the neighbouring restaurant with the same name.

What could improve the experience is if the Hotel would try and keep people at the Villa instead of going for dinner in Luca, e.g. by hosting small events or promoting their own restaurant a bit more to engage people to stay during the evening. A hidden Gem on the outskirts of Lucca, easily accessible with a garage just meters up the road to ensure your car is away from the road and behind closed doors (€20 a night but it's cheaper than the pay booths outside on the pavement). Nice place. Very friendly but not very helpful when something doesn't work. They "fixed" the broken fridge by putting some ice packs after I explained how important it was for us to keep our baby's milk cold during the night. The ice packs were warm by midnight.

I highly recommend this lovely hotel that serves a delicious breakfast! The staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed in an annex room that was spacious and appeared brand new. While it’s inside the city walls it is quiet. Fabbrizzio allowed us to store our bicycles and bike bags in a convenient locked room.

We stayed with a large group and it couldn't have been better. The location and the villa are absolutely beautiful, food was great, but most of all the service was fantastic. The service is perfect, all the supporting team members were trying to meet our needs. They never tried to apply the restriction they might have on us. We just did crazy parties every night. The most important thing is the cat "Alfonso", he is soooooooooooooooooooo cute! I want to say sorry to him as we disturbed his good sleeps of at least 3 nights.

We stayed at Villa Rinascimento for two weeks in August 2021 and absolutely enjoyed our stay in this enchanting place. Our room in the "Dependance" was simple yet cosy and clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. What we loved in particular was the great location of this accommodation (a drive of only about 15-20 minutes to Lucca and Pisa each)!

Stayed there first when it opened in 1995. It was heavenly. Stayed there again some 15 years later, it didn’t disappoint.

I would put 5 stars if more care was given to the area around the "dépendances", it looked abandoned during my quick stay. Otherwise the room was clean, the swimming very nice and the breakfast really ok. Personnel are most friendly and effective. Good value for money.

We stayed at Santori Luxury House for 2 nights. The accommodations and location were superb. The staff and the owner were very helpful and caring. The free breakfast was great. This was a very memorable stay and I would highly recommend it if you want to be inside the walled city.

Pretty good place for an budget stay in the historic part of Lucca. Room was specious, good beds and bathroom. The room is not soundproof: you can hear people from the hall and from the street.
