Hotel fairly modern, but lacked facilities, like a swimming pool with spa and bar to relax in after a hot day in town. Rooms are fairly spartan in terms of decor and comfort. Not much in area to investigate. Probably ok for single night business users, but could do better for holiday makers, which we were.

Well served, welcoming and clean

I was recently here for a weekend stay with my study abroad group and the staff here were super friendly and welcoming to all of us! Especially the front desk and breakfast room staff! Location is very centralized within the city, a quick bike ride to the outer wall and even the train station. I will definitely be coming back here!

Fabulous hotel in a fantastic location within the walls of the city. A short stroll from the walls and everything in the city is within a 10 minute walk. Great service, excellent breakfast and free coffee bar during the day. Free Prosecco for an aperitif before going out was a lovely touch too. Would highly recommend this Hotel

Stayed here for 5 nights with a group of my friends ranging from 17-18 year olds, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and made our stay great. The hotel bikes were great and so easy to use, we all loved our stay and I would say this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in ever. Lucca is also so beautiful and the location of the hotel had the city centre very close and lots of lovely restaurants...

Do not stay in the exterior “Wall” rooms. We were initially placed in the exterior room in the city wall across from the main hotel but the room was incredibly dreary, dull and depressing. Room space is good enough, bidet in the bathroom, next to super market and macdonald, parking is available free. Rooms are clean . No sound proof between rooms. To the old town center 25 minutes walking.

We visited the Tenuta already 5 times and now we are even celebrating our wedding there. The view is amazing as the hotel is settled in the middle of the vineyards. There are only around 10 rooms, which makes the amtmosphere in the hotel very familiar and warm. The personell is very kind and attentive, especially Eleonora! We were staying just a couple of kilometres away in the amazing Villa Il Luccio so very convenient for a light lunch. Good size room, the pool is very clean, however you have to pay 3 euro to use a towel !! Which I find very poor! The bathroom was dated and the light worked me as electric cables were showing. Our stay here was perfect. Kind and welcoming staff, excellent food and service and a beautiful, spacious room. We stayed here for Christmas with our two young children, who were made to feel very welcome and they enjoyed the garden and space around the villa to play in. We were based in the tuscanian hotel as a family celebrating our son's wedding in a villa about 15 minutes away. The tuscanisn was the perfect place for our stay. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were looked after from morning till not by the most helpful staff. I would recommend the tuscanuan without hesitation and will definitely back.

I've just spent a few days in this lovely, comfortable hotel which is ideally situated just outside the city walls, only minutes from everything this city has to offer . Hotel molto carino, con elementi tra il moderno (la sala della colazione) ed il vintage (il salottino della reception). Oltre alla massima disponibilità e competenza da parte dello staff, ho riscontrato un'ottima attenzione alla cura ed alla pulizia delle stanze. We had 5 wonderful days at Grand Universe Lucca in Oct. 21. The hotel is newly renovated and very nice. But the best was the very friendly service of the hotel staff. A special mention to Vanessa in the reception. She is very helpful, cheerful and did a great private history update of the hotel. Also Alexandro in the bar was great. He did a wonderful wine tasting and had great recommendations for wines...

Very comfortable and friendly. I broke my ankle and could not stay in previously booked apartment. This resort was the best thing that could have happened. Ground floor, easy access with wheelchair and crutches. Easy to shower. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Genuenly amazing staff, everyone was super friendly I sprained my ankle during my vacation (had nothing to do with the hotel), the manager (Stefano) did not only help me get an ambulance to the hospital, but he also came and picked me up and drove me back from the hospital, as well as offering us a swap to a room on the ground floor, so i didnt have to limp up the stairs. Easily booked and paid in the website. Next day when I went to this hotel I simply showed my booking confirmation and dropped the luggage, then picked my luggage at the later time of the day, very convenient and simple, price is reasonable...

I highly recommend this lovely hotel that serves a delicious breakfast! The staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed in an annex room that was spacious and appeared brand new. While it’s inside the city walls it is quiet. Fabbrizzio allowed us to store our bicycles and bike bags in a convenient locked room.

We loved this beautiful hotel in Lucca. It is within easy walking distance of everything: the train station, shops, restaurants, churches, yet still in a quiet street. The staff were always friendly and cared for us very well. Every encounter with them surpassed our expectations. Our room was very large and comfortable, and breakfast was very good.
