The hotel itself is very nice, with a beautiful view – from the 4th floor you can already see the lake, and it was also great to have a pool. The breakfast was quite good, though I really missed fresh vegetables such as tomatoes or cucumbers, and the coffee was only from a machine. The food in general felt overpriced for the quality – for example, the steak was quite dry. What I also missed in the room were some basic amenities: no complimentary water or coffee/tea facilities were provided. For a 3-star hotel in Italy costing €220 per night, one would definitely expect at least a bottle of water and a coffee machine in the room. Apart from that, the room was spacious and clean, which I appreciated.

This hotel is located in such a pretty area on the lake, there’s a long stretch that takes you to a few restaurants and a beautiful park. The ferry dock is also just a 15 minute walk away, very easy to get to. Rooms were kept very clean, good sized and the view was lovely on the mountain side. Staff are friendly and happy to help with anything. The only downside for us was the food, on our first night we ordered and it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive and it wasn’t the best quality. We went out each night after that. However, breakfast is perfectly fine. We would stay here again!

Just returned from a week's stay booked through Newmarket Holidays. The hotel was lovely and clean and in a good location. There are lovely gardens to the front which were very nice to sit and have a drink or even eat in. There is a swimming pool to the side which looked lovely but we did not have time to use. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and all spoke English. We stayed half board and breakfast and evening meals were all very nice and we enjoyed them all. Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The ANWB had booked us half board. At this hotel, it’s definitely not recommended. The food was terrible. Dried-out white fish topped with an unidentifiable, tasteless sauce. Tough meat. Pre-packaged, flavorless desserts — all served by an elderly waiter for whom the words “friendly” and “hospitality” seemed completely foreign.

Beautiful hotel ruined by member of staff. Me and my boyfriend booked a one night stay at this hotel. We arrived in the morning after driving over from the UK. I asked if we could check in early to which the member of staff at reception said yes we can and will give us a different room as our room was not ready. At first, we were told that we may have to pay more for checking in early and that she will have to ask her manager later as she is unsure how much it will cost but usually its free. We were sceptical because we didn’t want to check in early to be told later it was going to cost a lot. The lady at reception then said that she wont ask and to not worry about it. Few hours later, we were sent an email to say we would have to pay 75 euros due to the early check in and the room upgrade! We questioned this at reception as the same lady proceeded to say we were lying about the fact she said she wouldn’t ask and we wouldn’t have to pay and that she told us it was an upgrade and that either way, we now have to pay the 75 euros. The lady also mentioned when i previously emailed the hotel, they told me about this. Our emails clearly state that i was asking about how much would it be to have an extra night/check in at 3/4am (we checked in at 8am). Very unprofessional and rude. Therefore, lovely hotel with a great view, ruined by the experience with a member of staff.

We spent 4 nights here and had the breakfast on one occasion. The hotel is perfectly situated between Lenno and Tremezzo ferry stops and has a pizza takeaway, restaurant and a convenience shop within a 5 min walk- in addition to the on site restaurant and bar. The hotel breakfast was worth the €10 pp as there was fresh fruit options, snacks and biscuits, pastry, toast and meats and cheese as well as juices and coffee.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, but the floor could have done with a sweep and mop through our stay.
The staff were friendly and mostly helpful, at times it felt as if there wasa bit of an awkwardness, we wanted to order food from the restaurant to our room and despite being told this was an option when we first arrived, it was difficult to get this service when we needed it, hence us knowing abiut the local pizza takeaway (Jolly Pizza, highly recommeded!)
Overall a great hotel with a location thats slightly quieter than the hustle and bustle of the middle of the lake. Its along the Lago di Como greenway walk which was fantastic and has some great restaurants and bars all walkable distances along a flat path.
Would have no hesitation staying here again or reccommeneding to others!

Stayed half board, great choice for breakfast but strange menu for dinner, don't expect 'seasonal veg' to be chips, or roast beef in an Italian Hotel

My sister and I booked a week at this hotel with Newmarket Holidays, when we arrived at 10.00pm on an extremely wet evening we had to carry heavy suitcases up some steps then an incline to get into the hotel, no one came to help, we were given some soup and dessert and then given the key to our room. The room we had was a disabled room although we had not requested one and we were disappointed with it, upon using the shower the next day, the bathroom was flooded by the time we had finished and we had to use the towels to mop up the water. Each evening we were presented with a piece of paper with the following nights dinner menu on and we had to pick what we wanted. Here we were very disappointed we were expecting some delicious Italian dishes, we were offered beef and seasonal veg one night which turned out to be a plate of beef and a pile of steamed spinach, another night it was pork shank and seasonal veg, this turned out to be pork and chips! This went on all week, the worst was a beef stew which was inedible, it was grey in colour and tasted revolting! The breakfast by contrast was well done with plenty of continental choice plus toast boiled egg, scrambled egg and bacon. Our biggest shock was on the final evening, when we were told that the bedroom tax must be paid in cash, we knew there might be a tax to pay but as nothing had been said to us either by the hotel or guide we thought we didn’t have to pay it and the majority of guests like us had used their euros on the last day, there was a mad scramble for us all to get together the correct amount, which was 3 euros per person per night. We have loved Lake Como and the surrounding area but would not use this hotel, it needs updating and needs to have a serious think about what food it offers their guests.
