A Gem In Padova
I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel
Casa De Pellegrino in May 2024, and I could not have been happier with the quality of the hotel and its central location. Rated as a three-star, it easily surpasses the majority of four-star properties in terms of guest services at every level. My partner and I arrived mid-afternoon and took advantage of its central location to see the essential sites in the historic district. The next day, we went to early morning mass at the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padova and then returned to enjoy a delicious hot breakfast. My booking app recommended the property, and I would happily return, but I would book directly with the hotel to ask about a room with a view as lovely as ours. A property such as this takes a lot of work to get all the details right, and all of their efforts, from customer service to the quality of room fixtures and amenities, set this hotel apart.

The best possible location if you plan to visit St. Anthony's basilica. Just accross from it. Watched parking available. Affordable. Small but comfortable room.

To truly enjoy accommodations while traveling , the room itself and the service are equally important , for my experience with Pellegrino has been really great in both ways. Unbeatable location, which makes your daily plan really easy, The room is cozy in size but well equipped with all essentials for an enjoyable vacation-stay , Comfortable beds and good mattress . The managing team of two sweet Italian guys speak fluent English and they have the warmest smile whenever you need them .
The only drawback is the bedroom lacks at least one decent cup , all plastic drink ware is really uncomfortable.
It's an excellent location , walking distance to everything you need to see in Padua, overall, 9/10

This hotel has a great location. Across the street from the basilica of Saint Anthony and about a 15-minute walk from many of the other sites (the Duomo, Piazza dei Signori, etc.). The Orto Botanico is only a few minutes away. The rooms are simply furnished but spacious and clean. The bed is comfy, the breakfast is substantial, the staff friendly. I'm giving it extra points because the price is so reasonable. My three nights, including breakfast, cost just 252 euro. I paid a bit more for this room because it had a view (a small one) of the basilica.

For the price paid and the category of a 3-star hotel, the value is remarkably good. However, it's disheartening to encounter pieces of beautiful furniture scattered in the corridor, likely remnants from previous iterations, evoking nostalgia for bygone days now fading into memory.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Rooms are comfortable, good shower, the Wifi is pretty strong at around 50 Mbps download speeds, and very reasonable prices for the city.

Nice hotel in a city center with a view to backside of the cathedral. A great value for money, if you are visiting city centre. Dogs are allowed and nicely welcomed.

The hotel was my shelter just for one night, but it provided everything I needed: a really warm room, silence (window to the courtyard), a small but cosy bed, everything I needed in the bathroom.

Stayed here for one night. More of a hostel than a hotel. Looks like old student accommodation, and the place is huge. Has a restaurant attached to it (didnt eat there), and offers parking (more on this below). Location is good, at the edge of the old town, and right next to the main church.
The good parts:
-friendly staff
-clean
- has AC
- location
The bad parts:
- basic doesn't do justice to what the room offers. A bed, a desk and a wardrobe. Tile floors. The bathroom doesn't even have a shower curtain. The wardrobe has a collection of hangers from previous clients?
- breakfast is mediocre at best
- parking is €12 a night, which is expensive and also advertised as free on booking...
- no hot water between midnight and 6am...what? For €100 a night they are "cutting costs". Never have I seen this anywhere
- average ambiance.
For the price and location, you can likely do better in Padova. It's not bad, but definitely not good.
