Beautiful historic structure but partly under renovation. We stayed 2 nights. Nice pool, decent rooms with old furniture and noisy wooden staircase. Friendly staff. Another flaw is the very classic and international breakfast, nothing characteristic of the place such as cannoli, granitas, etc. Relaxing place.

A very well run family business that offers possibilities for bigger events, located on top of a lovely windy hill and offering various possibilities (kids playground and pool). It is really long long long way to get to the reception. It maybe makes you tired with suitcases although the stay was great. The room I stayed had many ants and sometimes these reached my shoes. But they have clean service, kind reception, and free tea/coffee!

I stayed at Villa del Lauro for 3 nights in Aug, 2014. I was on my own but had such a wonderful experience there if felt like I had friends with me. The hotel was wonderful, breakfast on the terrace was a delight I relished each morning. The staff could not have been nicer & more helpful. Great building great staff no expense spared a must stay if in Ragusa or around. Down side shower door in Pesca needs attention and a door person should be in attendance in a 5star hotel. Having said that price is of a 4star so I should not complain. Well done team 1619.

A ‘modern. City hotel masquerading as 4-star, while really about 3 (if I was generous) Only 1 lift. So access can be problematic at times. The room we were in was huge. However, it was poorly equipped and maintained. The shower would have been lovely if only the shower head had been cleaned sometime in the last year, and the nasty laminate flooring was uneven and cracked in places, causing a trip hazard...

Welcoming and friendly staff, I was able to check in before the room was ready and leave my luggage in the lobby. When I came back from a walk, my luggage was in my room :) The room itself, spacious comfortable and clean as well as the bathroom. There was even a balcony overlooking a quiet street. For breakfast, the choice is quite complete and it is served at the table and quickly once installed.

We had an offsite apartment. Overall it wasn't a deal breaker. The room was clean. We had everything we needed. Just a bit annoying not to have immediate access to hotel amenities. Everything was great except for the restaurant manager, whose attitude was appalling. He seemed to go out of his way to ruin our evening - clearly more interested in asserting control over a group of women than providing good service.
