Clean and functional, but prices have risen significantly here too. The value for money has unfortunately dropped. I've been here for years, but I didn't like the weekend beating. Prices for the b & b indicated per person, not per room.

Recently refurbished hotel with very friendly staff. Clean and well furnished rooms, bar service with breakfast and the possibility to have lunch and / or dinner with good quality cuisine. Location located on the highway.

5 stars in the summer, and 4 in the winter. Try the berry cake!

It 's a great place to do mountain sports. I recommend the riding course, great instructors. Then if u want to have a bite it's appeiling ur mouth.

Mixed experience. Rooms ok with fair size and kept clean and tidy; location great: ski shop next door (for hire plus shop for booking ski lessons) and ski lifts and ticket office 100 yards away. Problem was food which for breakfast was OK but dinner was very poor with very limited fixed menu. We had food poorly warmed up on 2 of 3 nights we ate in. Thankfully there is a great bar next door with reasonable...

Brilliant for me but not for everyone. Very very close to the chairlifts. Very polite friendly family atmosphere. Chef that looks like he's from the Adams family was a very nice man. The hotel owner was also a very friendly and hospitable gentleman. He was always happy to help whenever we needed it. Place could do with updating however this is what we paid for (although it wasnt cheap) place also...

Nice and clean hotel close both to the lift and to the village. Very friendly and helpful staff. Appreciated the afternoon tea and snacks in the evening. Small rooms but a nice lounge where we could sit and play cards in the evening.

A nice clean hotel with decent facilities. Staff are friendly and breakfast is good....make your own waffles, cereals, cold meats and cheese..sausage bacon boiled eggs...and for those with a sweet tooth a variety of cakes...the rooms are quite small but have everything you need and there is storage under the bed...it's ski in not sure about ski out but that could be because there's not as much snow...

Nice, decent rooms. Fine breakfast, included. Just next to the lift. 25 meters from a ski rental shop, where you get 20% discount when staying at clothes. Nothing to complain about so far. They also arranged transport from the airport, and ski passes.

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, breakfast was great with a huge selection. They also - much to our surprise - put on a very early 5am breakfast on the weekend for departures day. We were also able to check in early as our room was ready.

Great staff. Reception staff very good. Bar attached to the hotel is great and obviously very local. Food excellent and lots of it. Self serve starter and main meal so liked being all inclusive. Breakfast all you can think off and freshly made eggs or omelette by the chef

We have been to the restaurant twice already and every year the staff welcomes us wonderfully. Excellent quality food accompanied by the best wines. Elegant and cozy ambient!

Have only used the bar so the review will be based on that experience. Brilliant staff who speak both Italian and English making it easy to communicate with them. Great variety of drinks and also brilliant live music played throughout the week. Overall great place to grab a drink or 10 in Sauze d’Oulx 👍

The stay at K2 was great! The location was ideal (just 5 minutes from the bus stop) and the staff was very helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.

Great hotel, clean and comfy beds! You absolutely won't go hungry if you're half board! Be good to the staff and they'll be good to you, wonderful week with a surprise of free afternoon tea and cake everyday!

The few days spent in this place with my boyfriend, in the period between Christmas and New Year's Eve, were extremely relaxing and peaceful. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Lovely staff especially Celeste who always welcomed us with a smile and chat every morning. John the resident singer was lovely and was happy to sing any song we wanted. Breakfasts are huge , fresh orange juice, smoked ham and cheese platter, cooked breakfast on request. This place was just great, we have really enjoyed ourselves. It was a party of 8 and we all have been looked after really well. Staff was very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. It is not a budget meal type place but definitely recommend it.

Staff where really nice, location perfect, views outstanding, comfortable in lounge area outside and in the bedroom. We stayed for 4 nights and the food was good for 3 evenings the last evening it was poor. This should not have been as there was only one other couple staying in the hotel. Just home from a week in Sauz. Our party of 9 had a wonderful time on the slopes and were so well looked after by the Gran Baita staff. The food was amazing and they even catered for our two vegans. Fantastic stay at this family run hotel. There may be better hotels on resort, but I think you will find it hard to find a friendlier one. Food was well presented and plentiful. You will not regret giving this one a try.

This is a great value for money hotel with a friendly helpful owner and staff. You take pot luck on the room you get as some are smaller some larger, some with balcony some without. Very friendly staff. 3 min walk from ski lift. 15 min walk from city center (owner can give you ride for free with his van). Perfect location in quite part of the village. Highly recommended.

Stayed in Jan 17. Hotel was great, Andrea, Ella and all staff were amazing and really accommodating. Andrea picked us up after Apres Ski and brought us back to the hotel on a couple of nights. Only a short walk to the Jovenvaux lift, couple of good restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Ok hotel with fine room, but dusty. Mattress and pillows are very uncomfortable. Breakfast is 1 out 5. At 9 am there is almost no food. In general: bread is not fresh at all, one option of cheese, no vegetables, not ok coffee. Elevator: it takes one order in a time- you need to wait to order it if it is currently moving.

Great view from the balcony. But the 6 person rooms are to small even for 5 persons, basically the fifth person will sleep on a sofa and the other two in a room with out a window... And there isn't any place to dry your clothes after skiing. But all the rooms have a great kitchen with all the basic appliances, plates, forks etc.

We have stayed in Residence palace 2 Sestriere during family skiing holidays in January 2016! Super friendly, helpful and smiley staff, especially administrators and restaurant waiting staff. They were the extremely accommodating and friendly answering all our questions and really making us feel at home free breakfast and diner, the chef would make sure we were satisfied, amazing views of the mountains and kitchenettes in the room made this place feel too good to be true a short walk to the lift really nothing but great things to say about thus place, would visit again!!

Key weakness is the quality of the food at dinner. The buffet style offering was inconsistent: eg. a tasteless salmon dish but some reasonable pasta dishes for prima plate. Deserts were really good and with a range of options. Staff very friendly and helpful. Boot room far too crowded each morning but did offer lockers. Ski in ski out OK.

I can’t praise this hotel enough. Rooms are spacious, well designed and clean. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and had so much choice! My only negative point was having to queue for the hot drinks machine in the morning but it was only an extra 5 mins max per day, we just aren’t used to it!

The location is excellent for skiing. It is possible to ski right to the front door and it is a short walk up in front of the hotel before you are able to put skis on and get down to the lifts. A perfect location for a skiing hotel, you can ski in and out of the hotel door. Lovely old hotel, does need a bit of work but I liked the charm of it. The mattresses were very hard, I got used to them but I can imagine some people finding them too uncomfortable. Two stays, winter 2018 and 2919, we have a great time: breakfast with a lot of choice, room with all comforts, shuttle service, Jacuzzi, small spa, one of the most beautiful and characteristic external structures of all Sestriere. But above all the staff: welcoming, friendly, cheerful, always available. It is true, however, that the internal structure needs renovation and renewal in some details
