Hotel La Perla

Hotel La Perla was a great place to stay along the Amalfi coast. The hotel is as described, nothing super flash but certainly nice enough. The room was well appointed and had all the necessities, albeit a bit small. The breakfast was okay but nice to have. The views from the common area was fantastic and lovely place to have breakfast and a drink in the afternoon. It was about a 10/15 min walk to a very nice beach. There is also a bus stop right out the front - however the buses were a little unpredictable, so I wouldn’t fully rely on them. The hotel is about a 30 min walk from the “main” part of Praiano, so restaurants and shops in close proximity are limited. There are few mini markets close by that sells most things. Keep in mind the Praiano is much smaller than Positano and Amalfi so there is less to do and you will rely on transport a bit more, and the busses aren’t great. The hotel can help with lifts though taxis and transfers are very expensive. Unfortunately the restaurant for dinner was closed down, and there weren’t heaps of options nearby, a few fancier places but they were quite expensive. All in all La Perla was a good place to stay at.

Hotel is situated between Positano and Amalfi so its a good go between both towns. It is also located very close to a Sita bus stop (#11) making it fairly easy to reach. It is also walkable to Il Pirata for a meal or the Africana bar for a drink. The hotel itself is pretty clean and has a buffet breakfast. You can also get dinner, but will need to inform the hotel staff in advance. As for Praiano, it's a fairly quiet and if you like to hike, it's nearby the entrances to the Sentiero deghi Dei.

You think, kind of simple, kind of low key..then you get room 209 with the balcony and view of the ocean and right there it's worth everything. Good hotel, friendly and helpful staff and a great location close to Praiano. Bus stops right outside, they have parking. Breakfast is just what you need and again, location location location. You won't be disappointed (lots of stairs as everywhere in most places along the amalfi coast)

But there were one thing I was not satisfied.
There were many dust.
I hope you pay more attention to cleaning.

An true pearl of a hotel. This boutique villa is elegant and beautiful but not pretentious. We got a deluxe room with a terrace at the end of the season- late October. It was beautiful roomy and simple, with a wide open unobstructed view of the sea. The bathroom was roomy and if you've ever travelled around here you'll know that's a treat. Continental breakfasts here have a great variety of choices and seem mostly locally sourced. The terrace is fabulous again with an end to end view of the sea. SITA stop is literally at the end of the driveway The manager David was a great person, so helpful and friendly. We will definitely return!
