The hotel and its associated restaurant represent a high level of passion and investment by its owner. This is not a hotel for anyone with any accessibility issues. Our room was very comfortable. Welcoming and friendly staff, I was able to check in before the room was ready and leave my luggage in the lobby. When I came back from a walk, my luggage was in my room :) The room itself, spacious comfortable and clean as well as the bathroom. There was even a balcony overlooking a quiet street. For breakfast, the choice is quite complete and it is served at the table and quickly once installed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this historic building, which boasts a perfect central location. The staff was exceptionally helpful and attentive.

Away from the main restaurants at the far end of the park in an old convent, this is a restaurant with very sophisticated food but not expensive. Very attentive and helpful service.

The area has one of the best buildings, modern but with architectural respect for its ancient origins, the Michelin star restaurant is an unforgettable experience, the pool is excellent, relaxing like home.

A ‘modern. City hotel masquerading as 4-star, while really about 3 (if I was generous) Only 1 lift. So access can be problematic at times. The room we were in was huge. However, it was poorly equipped and maintained. The shower would have been lovely if only the shower head had been cleaned sometime in the last year, and the nasty laminate flooring was uneven and cracked in places, causing a trip hazard...

Nice environment and spacious room. However, customers should be given detailed information about the city tax and mini bar. In some other places the mini fridge is stocked for customers convenience. We stayed here 2 nights while traveling with a tour group. It is a lovely hotel and we had a very large room - although others did not. The bathtub is very high and hard to get in and out of for short people like myself and there are no hand rails. It is close to the local bars and restaurants and in a very nice area. First thing to realize 4 stars in Sicily is different than 4 stars in the US. With that We were in a superior accomodation. The room was HUGE, Clean and bed was very conmfortable. The standard room provided beds for 4 people. No kettle provided. Plastic not plass cups used in rooms. Comfortable-enough The set price dinner here was superb value at 25euro for 4 course with wine and water. Excellent. Breakfast buffet was lovely and included fresh ricotta

Very good position to visit Ragusa, nice service, various parking possibilities, good breakfast.

It is really long long long way to get to the reception. It maybe makes you tired with suitcases although the stay was great. The room I stayed had many ants and sometimes these reached my shoes. But they have clean service, kind reception, and free tea/coffee!

The location is greatt. The building is elegant and rustic with all the modern requirements for Sicily in August. Parking can be complicated but Matthew saw I found it easy. I stayed at Villa del Lauro for 3 nights in Aug, 2014. I was on my own but had such a wonderful experience there if felt like I had friends with me. The hotel was wonderful, breakfast on the terrace was a delight I relished each morning. The staff could not have been nicer & more helpful. Great building great staff no expense spared a must stay if in Ragusa or around. Down side shower door in Pesca needs attention and a door person should be in attendance in a 5star hotel. Having said that price is of a 4star so I should not complain. Well done team 1619.

Superb!!!! This is an exquisite place. You cannot miss it! The location is great: right in front of the Duomo! The rooms are all very nice, elegant and comfortable. A.d. 1768 is one good reason to go back to Ragusa Ibla!

Apologies for the delay in posting. My husband and I stayed here in August and it was exceptional. A truly beautiful palazzo with individual rooms, frescoes, antiques and contemporary touches. A very cozy, quiet and beautiful small hotel. It was easy to park, staff is nice and welcoming. It has a small pool that is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The old details in the building bring a lot of character to the hotel.

Absolutely lovely place. Everything was worked really well and staff was super nice. The pool area was also nice, especially when keeping in mind that hotel is in the city. Very beautiful place. The pool is incredibly beautiful, so is the place and the view. Only on or two things : the bathrooms could be better, at least with a bath tub, and with the light. Also, you have to do some kilometers to eat, lunch and dinner, and this can be a little bit to long sometimes

Lovely refurbished hotel, all rooms are lovely standard with our room having seating area and bathroom upstairs, comfortable beds and despite being off the SS15 road noise was not a problem.
