Grand Hotel La Pace

We had a lovely stay here. First thing to say is it is NOT a five star hotel by UK standards.

However we knew this going into it, so didn't expect it to be. I think some of the negative.reviews are people expecting it to be a 5 star resort. It is more a 3/4 star UK level but we felt the price reflected that and we booked.

The hotel is older, and looks lovely and grand in places, however our room had signs of age that does need addressing, some holes in the curtains, faded and worn away carpet. However it was still comfortable and pleasant.

The pool area was lovely, awesome view of the sea and Vesuvius. Excellent choice of drinks served in good sizes too friendly shuttle bus service to Sorrento, room was cleaned daily to a good standard, breakfast and lunch was great, dinner was a bit more mixed, always something to eat though. Might be more difficult if you have dietary requirements but luckily that didn't impact us.

Would defo stay here again for the price we payed.

Lovely art deco hotel, not the normal bland decor. The food was delicious, as long as you like Italian food, everything was fresh and tasted homemade. The drinks were plentiful and good quality.
The location was a bit out the way, but the hotel laid on a regular free bus into Sorrento. The excursions also left from the hotel and were great. The hotel also had cars and scooters available to rent if you're feeling brave (the traffic in Sorrento is a nightmare).
The pool is not huge, but there was plenty of room to sunbathe.
All in all our best all inclusive holiday we've ever had and wouldn't hesitate to go back if we returned to Sorrento.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff could not do more for you and very special mention to the head of the restaurant (and DJ) who was amazing.

The food was excellent and fresh and we loved the variety.

Shuttle to the main part of town was regular but an extra drop off between 6pm and 8pm would have been great.

We had the best holiday we've had for a while. This hotel is beautiful. The staff are so friendly, the food was delicious. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. The pool area was spacious with plenty of sun beds. Lovely pool bar that served coffee and tea too. The hotel puts on a free shuttle bus everyday into sorrento. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

We had a superb holiday at the Grand Hotel La Pace. It has a very grand and elegant reception, bar and lounge area. Maybe a little dated but still exceedingly nice. First class service in all areas. Spotlessly clean throughout.
Our room was a little dark due to its location, but it was still comfortable and we were only sleeping there after all.
Shuttle bus service several times a day to Sorrento and back with the last return being 23:00 hrs for the night owls.
The bar is open nearly all day so you can get refreshments and maybe a snack when you return from a trip out. As a bonus for people our age, it's adult only.
Thoroughly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay here. The staff are fantastic - helpful and friendly and and always with a smile. Pool area and bar are calm and tranquil with plenty of sun beds.
Located up on the hillside there is a shuttle bus into Sorrento to save the legs.

The hotel looks fantastic outside and in and it's maintained very well by the friendly staff. Location is superb, free shuttle bus hourly and only 10 minutes from train station (€5 return to Pompeii).

The staff cannot do enough for you and enjoy a bit of banter when engaged. The Food and Drinks available are ok, pack lunches are provided if going on day trips.
Overall would recommend... We will definitely go back.

We loved it. Couldn't fault anything about our stay. Close enough to everything you could want to see, quiet enough to thoroughly relax and enjoy your stay. Highly recommended.
