Surely one of the most beautiful hotel locations in the world. Absolutely stunning vistas over the bay and towards Vesuvius. Often hotels on the Amalfi coast are not truly “5 star”, with tired dated rooms. Not here - great sized spaces, excellent showers and air conditioning. Have a martini on the terrace, or take the elevator and listen to the ocean at the hotel’s private jetty/beach area.
Pros: Great location; beautiful hotel; great spaces and different places to spend time Cons: You can't eat anything between 5pm and 7.30pm except room service; the staff are the *least helpful* I've come across in a decade of 5 star travels This place is greatly let down by the poor service level. Want a towel for the pool area? They'll bring you one but they won't lay it out for you. Nor do they...
Wonderful hotel near the heart of Sorrento. A few minutes walk into the main area, but that's a good thing because it is generally too crowded in the town itself so it is great being a bit away from the crowds. This hotel has exquisite outdoor areas especially the gardens and patio in the back overlooking the sea. There are tables and chairs and table service so that you can drink and snack while...
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of visiting many beautiful venues, but the Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento truly stands out. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples and the timeless elegance of the hotel itself. The staff were exceptional—professional, accommodating, and genuinely warm. They went out of their way to ensure everything...
Excellent 5* hotel, we will definitely be coming back. We had such a lovely holiday and all of the staff are lovely, they made our wedding anniversary so special. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more - it is a hidden gem.
Beautiful property, and the terrace was the best view in Sorrento. The nightly sunset views were breathtaking. The onsite restaurant offers delicious and elegant meals, one of our favorite dishes was the tagliolini with pawns and brown butter sauce. The hotel staff were nice and attentive. Our room was perfect with a lovely balcony where we could wind down in the evening after a day of adventures. Conveniently...

If you are coming here for the Jacuzzi don't bother. They dont heat it, and will gaslight you to think that a jacuzzi is supposed to be cold. Other than that, the kitchen staff were great, the room was clean but every room only accommodating for two people including only two chairs on the small balcony.
We absolutely loved our stay at hotel Michelangelo! The location is prime. You can’t get any closer to the sorrento train terminal and the walk down to the marina is so beautiful and a peaceful walk that we enjoyed every day. The full service breakfast is wonderful and the staff are all so kind and attentive. The rooftop bar and views are really nice we enjoyed the beautiful views of the water and...
The breakfast was amazing, unfortunately, the rooms are small but very clean. Overall great stay. It’s very close to the train station, which makes it a perfect location. But at the same time, because of the location it doesn’t have great views. It has 2 pools, they close at around 6 pm, which is early. And both of them are small.
What a place! 5 minute walk to the piazza and 2 minute walk to the station. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We're half board and the evening meals are superb as are the breakfasts. The waiters are super lovely! We would certainly consider coming back here as this hotel ticked all the boxes!
Great location in the centre of Sorrento the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the rooms are a good size but appear a little dated but you're not there for the rooms. The rooftop bar Staff were great but all of them were great. Would definitely recommend.
I really liked this hotel. Balconies were amazing, room service daily & phenomenal & everything was so clean. You could smell the bleach smell on certain days & that level of clean is hard to come by. I really like how this hotel has a driveway space for drop off & pick up for drivers & busses. For the location this is rare & it really made a world of difference. The location is steps from everything...

We stayed at 5 star hotels in Venice, Rome and at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori. This was the most impressive of them all. The rooms were pristine and spacious. The walkout balcony with a hot tub, overlooking the bay was breathtaking for sunrise and sunsets. I had my suitcase lost/stolen at the Rome train station. Max Pollio at the front desk said that he would continue to contact the police at the...
Wow, what can I say!! This was collectively our favorite hotel on this trip to Italy (and we stayed in 5 different five star rated hotels). The views, the room and amenities, the service, the beach club, the drinks, this hotel had it all! Also, the best hotel shower we have ever encountered!! The comfort of the beds, pillows and every aspect of the room were unmatched. We only wish the menu at...
Very good hotel Lovely reception area and beach club. we had a 3rd floor suite. Not a huge suite but perfectly adequate. Nice balcony overlooking the sea. Very good and attentive breakfast service. Very friendly and helpful staff. A 10-15 minute walk into town but that suited us as we enjoy walking.
This is the kind of hotel you note for future stays. The friendly service is from everyone here, and all seem happy to work here. The concierges gave great recommendations and never hesitated on any request. We will plan to be back!
We had the best stay here. From the views, to the impeccable service, to the luxurious and spotless rooms/ accommodations, it was everything we could’ve wanted and more. We will certainly be coming back. Also, AMAZING breakfast, best part of the day! The stay was worth every penny, truly.
Beautiful property and great service. Classic, elegant, 5 star rather than modern or boutique style. Views are incredible. Easy walk to town center. Beach club was awesome.

Staff are very nice. Food staff helped with some food restrictions. View was very nice but bathroom needs some updating as was very difficult to get in and out of the tub safely.
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Corallo. The most magnificent views. Relaxing atmosphere. Shuttles make easy to commute. The best of all were the amazing staff. The bartenders (Antonio, Francisco, Antonio and Luca) are friendly and talented, making us amazing drinks the entire week we were there. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
This is a very beautiful hotel. Great people running the every day operations. The food was great, the attentative nature of the staff makes you feel reassuring and comfortable. The views from the lobby or the outside eating areas are amazing. We will return.
We spent seven nights at Hotel Corallo for our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was truly perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and Antonello, the hotel manager, personally helped us switch to a room on the upper floors so we could enjoy more privacy on our balcony. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding — delicious food with...
Overall, very good hotel. We had a sea view room with large balcony. Ours was on the 4th floor and you could see the glass ceiling to the hotel lobby below. If booking, ask for a higher floor. Breakfast was good with enough selection. We did have lunch one day and ordered the pizza which wasn’t very good. Amazing stay, super relaxing resort. The staff were super friendly and the views were stunning. A highlight of our honeymoon!
One of the best places I’ve stayed. Gorgeous view. Great breakfast. Excellent service. Shuttle to train station is convenient and free. Bed isn’t great, but I’d stay here again.
The views from this property were more than gorgeous. I had a view from my room, the restaurant, the pool, and other areas. The shuttle was fantastic and easy to use & sugn up for. The only issue I had was tour groups not wanting to pick me up the hill that the hotel was located on. I scheduled a couple of things before the shuttle service started so i had to walk down the hill to meet them. It was...
This place is amazing off the beaten path but there shuttle is so easy to use they have set time and only takes you to train station but it works perfectly the train station is in town.
This was the best hotel we’ve stayed at for a number of years. It was clean and modern and the staff were helpful and friendly. Great view of Vesuvius from our room. The shuttle bus was easy to book through WhatsApp. The breakfast was very good with a range of food for everyone’s taste.
Brilliant view of the whole area from the rooms, restaurant, and pool. Shuttle bus into the centre of town every hour is really helpful, but if the time doesn’t work it’s not too bad of a walk at all (c.15 mins). Great staff, not bad value for location and view

It takes about 7 minutes to walk from the train. The hotel is very clean and tidy, especially comfortable. The hotel checked in early and the staff were very friendly. Facilities: The room facilities are very new and comfortable. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, with daily cleaning service. Environment: Very close to the beach, opposite the lemon orchard. Service: The dining is very good, and we eat at the hotel every night.
Everything was wonderful and the breakfast was very good. The roof top bar upstairs was very romantic, and there were also people playing songs. It was a wonderful evening.
This may be the best hotel I've ever been to! Everything from the staff to the room to food to the amenities was incredible. The views were awesome. The hotel is in a good location, not far from the station and the pier, with an unbeatable view to enjoy the sunset, and the breakfast is average
Friendly and attentive staff, great location as it is quiet yet close to the piazza with amazing water and mountain views. Good food and the bar is fantastic!

Amazing stay at this hotel. I stayed here in 2023 for one week and again, this year (2025) for another week. It is a family run welcoming hotel. This is a family-owned hotel, and the service really stood out. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. An excellent, family run hotel. A really nice hotel with great staff who were all extremely helpful. The choice of food in the restaurant needs a but of change as the choice was limited for those like me who do not eat red meat. After spending a week here I can say without reservation that this hotel is perfectly located to discover Sorrento. The views are stunning. The atmosphere is mostly chilled. The pool is excellent. The location is pretty convenient though it’s not exactly at the center of Sorrento, shuttle bus service was excellent and it takes only 5-8 mins to city center. We loved our stay here! 4 adults ranging from 18-59. The staff in the restaurant were all fantastic but special mention goes to Angelo, Pino and Antonio. Ibrahim at the bar was so lovely too. 4 Star hotel with 5 star service. The hotel can feel a little dated in places but the staff, pool and air conditioning make up for this shortcoming. Lovely hotel for a relaxing break. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Felt very well looked after. Lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers. Comfy seating in lounge and garden. Very much appreciated the courtesy bus which takes guests in and out of Sorrento. Really enjoyed our stay.
The Hotel was nice and clean. Front desk employees were great and helped with reservations even before we arrived. They even packed us an early breakfast 2 mornings, because we needed to leave before the dining room opened, for our really early morning tours. Food for breakfasts and lunches were really good. We used the shuttle service to drop us near the city center for shopping and exploring.
The hotel is close to the beach, which is for free . Sorento is about 20 min by feet. Spectacular view from the balcony. If you will be lucky, you can get Vesuvius view. Actually it is good hotel with pool, good breakfast and good location. The room was cleaned everyday and cleaning ladies very nice.

This hotel has been amazing!! could not recommend enough! the rooms are nice with a gorgeous balcony view, the rooftop is insanely gorgeous, the breakfast has so many options from delicious desserts to eggs and homemade bread, and the staff has been nothing but helpful!! is a bit of a walk from downtown sorrento, about 15/20 mins, but we preferred being a little bit further as it’s less crowded!
Good hotel, good breakfast! Cozy rooms
Hotel had a lovely pool, room was spacious, the balcony and garden views were beautiful, and it had a big bed. The walls are super thin we could hear everything the neighbours were saying and doing next door. Very quiet, relaxed, couple hotel- I probably wouldn't recommend for kids. Stayed here with my husband and son and loved everything about it. The room was clean and comfortable. Every meal we had was superb and the service as well. Relaxed during the day by the private beach and took the complimentary shuttle to the town every night. Would definitely stay here again. Don't miss the sunsets they are dreamy!
Nice hotel, but don’t bother with the shuttle. With the amount of money this place is racking in, how hard would it be to add another shuttle? It comes every 2 hours, and you have to make a reservation for it in advance. It’s a big hotel so the van is usually full of other guests and you can’t use it. Would have appreciated a better explanation of this and the amenities at check in. A shuttle is so...

Maybe I booked a basic double room, the facilities in the room are really simple. The breakfast on the top floor is OK, the layout is also old-fashioned. The view from the window seat is still good.
The hotel is very good at an affordable price and very well located.
Near the centre, excellent for visiting Sorrento
Very nice hotel, atmospheric and beautiful. The men at the front desk are very polite and enthusiastic. It's a pity that the restaurant starts breakfast at 7 o'clock, and many customers are already waiting at the door, and the restaurant's door will not open on time at 7 o'clock, it will always be 2 or 3 minutes late, but the fact is that there are not many service staff in the restaurant. In fact...
The location is not bad, beautiful and large swimming pool but not suitable for small children under 1m30. We found hairs in the bed and bathroom…!!! Avoid the rooms next to the elevators… very annoying noise, especially late at night. Honestly, I can't recommend it.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast ok. Pool area, bar area nice and not busy
Reception staff were nice. Pool was ok. Pancake machine was a hit with the kids.

We stayed at Grand Hotel Riviera in Sorrento for five nights during our honeymoon in mid-June, and it was nothing short of amazing. From start to finish, the service was some of the best we've ever experienced. They welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco and chocolate cake. Francesco & Gianni at the concierge desk were both incredible. They went above and beyond to help us plan in advance...
We had such a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Riviera in Sorrento! It was our first time in Sorrento and I was overwhelmed with options on accommodations, but I’m so happy that I went with this hotel! Everything from the beautiful room , the views , the staff ( Gianni and Francesco at concierge were amazing and very helpful with booking restaurants , transportation and boat trips, as well as giving us...
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Exceptional Stay with Breathtaking Views We had an unforgettable experience at Grand Hotel Riviera in Sorrento. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—always professional, warm, and ready to help with anything we needed. The location is absolutely stunning. Perched on a cliffside overlooking the sea, the views are simply breathtaking—especially at sunset...
This is the perfect hotel for your trip in Sorrento. The staff are kind, friendly, and really helpful. The food at breakfast and lunch is really above what I’ve come to expect for “hotel food” and the view is one of the best in Sorrento. You get free access to beach club down on the water as well as the pool, with towels and table service for drinks and food. Our room was the only very tiny negative...
Perfect 4 star hotel. The staff was fabulous. They recommended a driver from Naples and a boat trip. Both were spot on. Easy walk from hotel to city center. Breakfast was included and was better than any place that we have had for the last week. Beach club was just fine for a relaxing day near the water. Overall I think a good value compared to the really expensive 5 star hotel. Highly recommend
My husband and I stayed at Grand Hotel Riviera for our honeymoon back in July, and it was one of our favourite stops on our trip. Everything about this hotel was a dream. We had a beautiful view from our room, and even had a thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us in our room to celebrate our honeymoon. The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best dinners we had in Sorrento, with the most beautiful...

Nice room with swimming pool available, but the bathroom was a little outdated. A downside is that there’s no parking at the hotel and not much parking in the area. The breakfast was okay but a little bit more fruit would have been nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and speak good English.
The hotel is well staffed and friendly. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was ok. No cool a/c, only heater. Next to a church, the bells go off every 1/4 of an hour from 7 am to 11pm.
Came here on a school trip, lovely views of the ocean from room 104 and the rooms and bathrooms themselves were very nice however could've had bigger rooms as they are a little small. One issue with the bathroom was there was no curtain or cover for the shower so water got all over the floor. However some rooms had this so it won't be an issue for all. Food was lovely, however would like a bigger...
Lovely view from room 404 one of the best trips of my life but I did dislike dinner lots. Its just the lack of a menu for me. Staff seem good enough.sadly the bathroom door wouldn't lock. The windows shut awkwardly due to them not being built straight, ants were everywhere and tried to get in. A trip of a lifetime but a lacking hotel.
We looked at reviews after booking this hotel and were nervous we had made a massive mistake. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely Italian lady at the desk who also decided to change our rooms so we would be over looking the pool instead of the street just because they had the rooms available, the rooms were lovely and clean lots of large towels, extra pillows in the wardrobe so we had two each...
Grand Hotel Europa is in my opinion a perfectly fine hotel for families as long as you are not expecting a five-star experience. Having read the reviews we were not quite sure, but it’s perfectly fine. Hotels are clearly expensive around here as we booked three or four months out and four nights cost us around €750. The hotel was built in the 1980s and to be fair not a lot of improvements have been...

Really lovely place to stay. Fairly central, (which means that it's on a busy road, but double glazing and AC sorts that). The pool is really good, we didn't try the fitness suite but I'm sure that's good too. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more!
Our stay at Hotel Central Wellness was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless, well organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind throughout. The amenities were great, and the breakfast was a highlight — fresh fruits and one of the best spreads we've had. No doubt, it's an excellent option for anyone staying in Sorrento!
Great stay at Hotel Central, staff were very pleasant and helpful and decorated our room for a special occasion which was appreciated. The buffet breakfast was delicious. We had a balcony but were not bothered by the noise outside at all. Yes it is a bit out of the way from the town centre but it is a nice easy walk into town from the hotel.
We spent a week at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The reception staff were always smiling and professional. The hotel is pretty and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We also received some lovely welcome gifts (2 free cocktails, a small bottle of sparkling wine, water, and cookies in the room). The hotel is fairly well located, though it’s about a 15–20 minute...
The staff at Hotel Central Wellness are fantastic! Reception was always helpful and the breakfast and housekeeping staff were just lovely! The location is a pretty easy 10 or so minutes from the city centre and everything around Sorrento is east to easy. The room was fairly basic and small but comparable to lots of other places throughout Europe. Pool was great and always lots of Sunbeds. Breakfast...
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Central Sorrento. Very comfortable family room for 4, which had 2 balconies and 2 rooms separated by a sliding door. Friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and a reasonably large breakfast buffet selection - something for everyone. Relaxing wellness (purchased massages) and good size outdoor pool. Never too busy, and always found loungers. Great staff at the...
