This hotel will grow on you. My first impressions were that it has once been a very grand hotel with beautiful decor and impressive gardens that now looks a little tired and dated in some places. However, this adds to the charm. It is still grand and it has a lot to offer! Perfect for everyone. The service at the hotel is wonderful. All staff are welcoming and friendly. It’s clear that they love...
Super hotel handily placed to explore the Amalfi coast and the popular tourist destinations. The food was excellent and varied, with friendly staff. Small queues for food and drink. The food was as good a quality as local restaurants. Always managed to get a sunbed or a deckchair in the afternoon, when arriving back from day trips. The regular free hotel bus into Sorrento was really handy. The hotel...
Will write another review once home but wanted to pop on as soon as possible many people slated this hotel. I’ve been here since Friday and honestly the hotel is lovely! I read reviews before I came and panicked but honestly the staff are so lovely, the rooms are big and always cleaned, and there is such a chill vibe! The food is so tasty and lots for fussy children too! One thing I will say is the...
Overall, a good experience. Great food, very friendly and attentive staff, also a lot of nice people at the hotel when we visited. Good access to Sorrento via the free shuttle bus. Room was okay, not quite as good as the photos. Watch out at the pool, can be slippy around the edges, two people we saw ended up with broken bones, but they had been boozing in the pool!
We had such a lovely stay here! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming – from the cleaners and reception team to the bar staff and management. The hotel’s location was perfect, with the option to walk into Sorrento or hop on the free shuttle bus. The food was great, and honestly the best pizza we had on our whole trip was at the hotel. Our room was spacious and kept spotless by the cleaners...
First impressions of this hotel were not great, as it's situated in a very noisy, scruffy little town called Saint Agnello. About 20mins walk from Sorrento. On arrival we were told to have lunch, as our room wasn't ready. Fine lunch was ok,pizza, pasta, some salad (but this gets a bit repetitive after a few days!). On seeing our room, we were not impressed, as it was very small, with no balcony, just...

The location is pretty convenient though it’s not exactly at the center of Sorrento, shuttle bus service was excellent and it takes only 5-8 mins to city center. Service from the staff is keen and proactive, room which we chose is double size room and it was big and cozy. Pool is clean and broad, enough space for sunbathing. Just be mutual, decoration was pretty old-fashioned as we had known in...
Decent hotel and friendly staff
We loved our stay here! 4 adults ranging from 18-59. The staff in the restaurant were all fantastic but special mention goes to Angelo, Pino and Antonio. Ibrahim at the bar was so lovely too. Couldn't do enough for you and brilliant with my fussy eater. We went on an early trip one morning and Angelo arranged a pack up breakfast to take with us. Food was brilliant, special mention to the breakfast...
4 Star hotel with 5 star service. The hotel can feel a little dated in places but the staff, pool and air conditioning make up for this shortcoming. Rooms - bit dated with old style key and massive key fob but immaculately cleaned each day, great shower and air con. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. Pool - fantastic. Very clean. Decent size. Bar service available. Plenty of parasols...
Lovely hotel for a relaxing break. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Felt very well looked after. Lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers. Comfy seating in lounge and garden. Very much appreciated the courtesy bus which takes guests in and out of Sorrento. Really enjoyed our stay.
The Hotel was nice and clean. Front desk employees were great and helped with reservations even before we arrived. They even packed us an early breakfast 2 mornings, because we needed to leave before the dining room opened, for our really early morning tours. Food for breakfasts and lunches were really good. We used the shuttle service to drop us near the city center for shopping and exploring.
The hotel is close to the beach, which is for free . Sorento is about 20 min by feet. Spectacular view from the balcony. If you will be lucky, you can get Vesuvius view. Actually it is good hotel with pool, good breakfast and good location. The room was cleaned everyday and cleaning ladies very nice.

This hotel has a great pool and sundeck with the most amazing views . The hotel has a modern theme with some art works . My first room was comfortable and clean, no balcony. As the aircon was not great I managed to upgrade to a 4th floor sea view room with small balcony - loved it. Rooms cleaned well each day and all towels changed . Good minifridge/bar, but no tea/coffee facility. All the staff are...
A lovely friendly hotel. The staff were amazing. The views of the bay over to Vesuvius and Capri were stunning and the sunsets a sight to behold. Our room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could have done with more cupboard space for storing clothes though. We had the bed and breakfast option and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The evening meals were definitely worth staying...
We were at this hotel with a group tour and had a wonderful time. Our room was in a different part of the hotel were only 4 rooms in total were. Room, bathroom and balcony was huge. The drinks were good! The pool was great, wish it was open past 7pm. Only bad part was I could hear people moved the pool chairs around in the morning but we were up early anyway. Buffett was also good! some taxis don't...
We were absolutely blown away by this hotel It was so charming art deco It sat up on top of Sorrento and the views were absolutely stunning Great pool and patio the service and the staff were absolutely incredible. Just back from a week at this wonderful hotel, the views are to die for, the pool area is fantastic, plenty of sunbeds and parasols available, the rooms were bright and spotlessly clean, beds/towels changed every day, the staff can not do enough for you they are fabulous and so friendly, the breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold food, also an omelette station where they make them fresh...
Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of booking this hotel. Check which room you have been allocated. If you don't specify you want a view of the Bay of Naples then you are likely to end up with with a room at the back of the hotel looking on to scrub land and a steep bank-side. The most expensive hotels in Sorrento all sit on the cliffs overlooking the water. If, like me, you would rather save your euros for pasta, La Residenza hits the nail on the head. It sits a little further back from the water but incredibly shares all the facilities of the 5 star hotel just next door. Guests of La Residenza can take advantage of the beautiful gardens, pool and allowed access to the...
Very nice hotel. Not new but clean. Good swimming pool. The stuff is very helpful. A little bit far from the canter but they have a shuttle service. Very nice sea view and privet beach.
The hotel looks great from the outside. The reception is very welcoming and modern. The rooms have a tiled floor and for the price they are a decent size. The view of the garden is very beautiful, the garden itself is very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful for walking with someone or alone. The path is well lite during the night.
Amazing outdoor facilities with very basic and outdated indoor facilities. Rooms looks outdated and the hallways and rooms are very noisy - we woke up several times some nights due to people walking, talking in the hallways and simply just closing their door. With that being said the outdoor facilities are simply amazing - best view of the ocean! Nice pool, nice staff. Beach costs 20 euro per person...
Pool was closed in September which was disappointing. Decent rooms, good check in and staff. Amenities for the 4* hotel are provided by the 5* sister hotel in the same grounds and are excellent. Fantastic restaurant with great view.

We stayed at 5 star hotels in Venice, Rome and at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori. This was the most impressive of them all. The rooms were pristine and spacious. Max Pollio at the front desk said that he would continue to contact the police at the...
Wow, what can I say!! This was collectively our favorite hotel on this trip to Italy (and we stayed in 5 different five star rated hotels). We had the best stay here. From the views, to the impeccable service, to the luxurious and spotless rooms/ accommodations, it was everything we could’ve wanted and more. We will certainly be coming back. Also, AMAZING breakfast, best part of the day! The stay was worth every penny, truly.
Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable. The location couldn’t be better—just a short and easy walk into the heart of town, with stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius that make every morning and evening special. Hotel Grand de la Ville is elegant, comfortable, and perfectly located. The staff are warm and attentive, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the rooftop pool offers stunning views. A wonderful place to stay in Sorrento.
The environment is very beautiful and pleasant
It takes about 7 minutes to walk from the train. The hotel is very clean and tidy, especially comfortable. The hotel checked in early and the staff were very friendly. Facilities: The room facilities are very new and comfortable. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, with daily cleaning service. Environment: Very close to the beach, opposite the lemon orchard. Service: The dining is very good, and we eat at the hotel every night.
Everything was wonderful and the breakfast was very good. The roof top bar upstairs was very romantic, and there were also people playing songs. It was a wonderful evening.
This may be the best hotel I've ever been to! Everything from the staff to the room to food to the amenities was incredible. The views were awesome. Surely one of the most beautiful hotel locations in the world. Absolutely stunning vistas over the bay and towards Vesuvius. Often hotels on the Amalfi coast are not truly “5 star”, with tired dated rooms. Not here - great sized spaces, excellent showers and air conditioning. Have a martini on the terrace, or take the elevator and listen to the ocean at the hotel’s private jetty/beach area.
Pros: Great location; beautiful hotel; great spaces and different places to spend time Cons: You can't eat anything between 5pm and 7.30pm except room service; the staff are the *least helpful* I've come across in a decade of 5 star travels This place is greatly let down by the poor service level. Want a towel for the pool area? They'll bring you one but they won't lay it out for you. Nor do they...
Wonderful hotel near the heart of Sorrento. A few minutes walk into the main area, but that's a good thing because it is generally too crowded in the town itself so it is great being a bit away from the crowds. Nice room with swimming pool available, but the bathroom was a little outdated. A downside is that there’s no parking at the hotel and not much parking in the area. The breakfast was okay but a little bit more fruit would have been nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and speak good English.
The hotel is well staffed and friendly. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was ok. No cool a/c, only heater. Next to a church, the bells go off every 1/4 of an hour from 7 am to 11pm.
Came here on a school trip, lovely views of the ocean from room 104 and the rooms and bathrooms themselves were very nice however could've had bigger rooms as they are a little small. One issue with the bathroom was there was no curtain or cover for the shower so water got all over the floor. However some rooms had this so it won't be an issue for all. Lovely view from room 404 one of the best trips of my life but I did dislike dinner lots. Its just the lack of a menu for me. Staff seem good enough.sadly the bathroom door wouldn't lock. The windows shut awkwardly due to them not being built straight, ants were everywhere and tried to get in. A trip of a lifetime but a lacking hotel.
We looked at reviews after booking this hotel and were nervous we had made a massive mistake. This is the perfect hotel for your trip in Sorrento. The staff are kind, friendly, and really helpful. The food at breakfast and lunch is really above what I’ve come to expect for “hotel food” and the view is one of the best in Sorrento. Perfect 4 star hotel. The staff was fabulous. They recommended a driver from Naples and a boat trip. Both were spot on. Easy walk from hotel to city center. If you are coming here for the Jacuzzi don't bother. They dont heat it, and will gaslight you to think that a jacuzzi is supposed to be cold. We absolutely loved our stay at hotel Michelangelo! The location is prime. You can’t get any closer to the sorrento train terminal and the walk down to the marina is so beautiful and a peaceful walk that we enjoyed every day. The breakfast was amazing, unfortunately, the rooms are small but very clean. Overall great stay. It’s very close to the train station, which makes it a perfect location. But at the same time, because of the location it doesn’t have great views. It has 2 pools, they close at around 6 pm, which is early. And both of them are small.
What a place! 5 minute walk to the piazza and 2 minute walk to the station. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We're half board and the evening meals are superb as are the breakfasts. The waiters are super lovely! We would certainly consider coming back here as this hotel ticked all the boxes!
Great location in the centre of Sorrento the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the rooms are a good size but appear a little dated but you're not there for the rooms. The rooftop bar Staff were great but all of them were great. Would definitely recommend.
I really liked this hotel. Balconies were amazing, room service daily & phenomenal & everything was so clean. You could smell the bleach smell on certain days & that level of clean is hard to come by. I really like how this hotel has a driveway space for drop off & pick up for drivers & busses. Good hotel, good breakfast! Cozy rooms
Hotel had a lovely pool, room was spacious, the balcony and garden views were beautiful, and it had a big bed. The walls are super thin we could hear everything the neighbours were saying and doing next door. Very quiet, relaxed, couple hotel- I probably wouldn't recommend for kids. Overall was a good stay, about a 20 minute walk from Sorrento town.
What a lovely hotel! Our room was lovely with views across the hotel garden with wooden doors and shutters to the balcony. The staff were really friendly. Breakfast was pleasant with a good choice. Really lovely place to stay. Fairly central, (which means that it's on a busy road, but double glazing and AC sorts that). The pool is really good, we didn't try the fitness suite but I'm sure that's good too. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for more!
Our stay at Hotel Central Wellness was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless, well organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind throughout. It's basic, but to be fair you only really need a bed to sleep in. The rest of your time should be out exploring! Clientele were definitely (in the main) over 65. As a person in their 40s, I felt like I was in God's waiting room at times. Food is OK, although I was hoping for more traditional Italian meals than sausage & potato. Pool & patio doesn't get the sun until mid afternoon.
Hotel is very clean. Rooms are fairly small but kept spotlessly clean. Staff are helpful but the hotel is let down by the food which has a slightly dated air of the 70's and is not plentiful.
Very nice staff, clean rooms, nice setting.

Great little boutique hotel in Sorrento. Service was above par, rooms are small but quaint, breakfast had scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the normal European breakfast. Coffee was hot and plentiful. Stayed here 4 nights loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel club Sorrento. We were collected from the drop off point and made welcome with a drink on arrival. We had a garden room near the swimming pool, 1.5m deep and used by me on many occasions. The room was serviced daily, had air conditioning and easy access to the main building with only a few steps. Luigi and his staff were great. Very welcoming. Great selection...
We changed to this hotel as our hotel had building works going on, so as it was last minute and booked in a bit of a rush, so we were a bit apprehensive. We shouldn't have worried we got picked up by Luigi and taken to the hotel. We were greeted by Roseana and given a glass of presecco while Luigi took our bags to the room. All the staff were amazing, helpful, and very friendly. They also upgraded...

Stayed here in 2018 with my misses but never left a review for some reason, hotel is beautiful lovely location with spectacular views, staff can’t do enough for you and in general the atmosphere and food/drink was spot on. We will be coming back here in 2022, this time using more of the facilities as we didn’t use them enough last time.
On a coach trip, picked here. Looks like a great place, cool name.
Fantastic food, staff friendly fantastic and attentive does what it says in the broucher.
I went to a reception here and it was a beautiful place and lovely views, service was excellent and the food amazing. Adults only over 25's.
Amazing hotel. Staff, food, views, pool and bar all superb. Great trips to be taken too.
This is my 3rd visit. Has had a makeover since 2015. Food,Wine and service are excellent. Lunch by the pool is not to be missed. Worth every penny

We stayed at Esperidi for 5 days and the grounds were beautiful- filled with greenery and luscious lemon and orange trees. The apartment was lovely and more than adequate for our stay. The one disappointing thing is that we booked this place as Wi-Fi was provided in our rooms only to stay there and find that the Wi-Fi in our room was not working. We reported this problem constantly for the first two...
Generally ok. Pool, breakfast and common areas are good. Rooms not so. 10mins by train or bus from Sorrento. Which was welcomed as Sorrento has become over popular and busy in recent years
We went to the cooking school here and it was absolutely wonderful. Yes the food was amazing but it was more about the experience and the fabulous energy the lady teaching us provided. She was so full of energy and I know I can take some of these recipes back home with me. I would def. recommend the cooking school. Everyone we came into contact with was absolutely amazing. It was a lovely afternoon...
Quite enjoyable. Exquisite breakfast. Wonderful service. Extremely friendly stuff. Spotless clean
Wonderful and incredibly helpful staff. Some of the accommodation is a bit out dated but is still perfectly adequate and they have built new accommodation which is available at a slightly higher rate. The pool area is lovely and it is ideally situated next to a train & bus station with fantastic airport transfers. Also about a 30 minute walk into the main town of Sorrento which my partner and I fully...
Spotlessly clean, breakfast is great. Pool is very big. Would definitely recommend to anybody. Staff are very helpful, towels and sheets changed everyday.

We have just had a 10 day stay in this hotel. Our room overlooked the pool and garden area (room 307). We had no issues with any of the facilities and found it a pleasant hotel. Our room was basic but spotless, plenty of hot water and air conditioning was easy to control . The breakfast was fine and we loved the croissants. The roof top terrace was a lovely place to have an evening drink and watch...
Had a fabulous 10 nights in this hotel. Spotless clean, room and bathroom were lovely and spacious. Roof terrace great for a drink and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Central location but not noisy and very near some great wee restaurants. Highly recommended just loved it all.
I would fully ignore any of the poorly rated reviews because we have just been to the hotel and it was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely, the bar man through the day went above and beyond. Be patient if you have to ding the bell a couple of times. The pool was the perfect temp in a 30 degree heat and wasn’t freezing at all. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels. The breakfast staff...
Great location and price compared to others in Sorrento. Found service to be lacking, no help with bags with multiple staff seeing us struggle up stairs. The breakfast was disappointing not many options stuff seemed to just be thrown together. No alternative milk options. Pool is only open 10am-6pm which seems a bit rediculous after a nice day out can’t relax in pool because it’s closed. They like...
Great hotel, especially loved how 'Italian' the rooms were (think big, brown glass chandeleir and 'Franco Cozzo' type furniture). The pool was freezing when we went and unfortunately there was no spa to enjoy! The staff were quite friendly. Didn't love how we had to turn in our room keys when we went out. The room was cosy and the housekeeping staff did a great job of tidying it daily. The location...
Stayed here in April 2024 for a 7 night stay. Hotel and room was very nice, cleaned every day and fresh towels put in. Breakfast was a buffet but plenty of choice each day. About a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre, shops all the way to the centre.

Myself and four friends just spent five nights in this lovely hotel. It is spotlessly clean and fresh. The rooms are well equipped and the breakfast was ample. The main plus point in this hotel is the staff. They were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so at home. I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting a small and friendly hotel in a quiet location.
We had a phenomenal stay at Hotel Angelina. Marcos was a fantastic host, the best. He always had a great attitude and provide great recommendations in spots to eat. We had fresh lemons and oranges right outside. Its a bit of a walk to the main pier and shops where you would want to spend most of your night but that comes with its pros and cons. I would still highly recommend Hotel Angelina and would...
The rooms were clean, well maintained, spacious and comfortable. The hotel is a 5-min walk from S. Agnello train station and 15-minute walk to the center of Sorrento. The manager, Marco, is a friendly, positive, cheerful and helpful person. He arranged an excellent boat tour for us and recommended places to eat. We enjoyed our stay.
We had lovely stay at this hotel. The host Marco and his staff Daniela were very helpful and provided wonderful service. They fulfilled your wishes with a smile and courtesy. Marco also had tips for local sightseeing. The location of the hotel was great in terms of peace and quiet as situated off the main road yet all local amenities nearby. The bus and train stations were walking distance, minutes...
This Hotel was wonderful! It is in an excellent location within walking distance most of places nice places like sceneries to take pictures and restaurants. Our hosts Marco & Luisa welcomed us and made us feel like home. They were very friendly and attentive. We loved the beautiful garden and lemon trees. The place was so cozy we did not want to leave. Parking is available at the hotel. You get breakfast...
The room is located about 7 minutes' walk from the EAV railway Sant Angello station. The hotel facilities are excellent, very new, and the decoration style is fresh and elegant. The room has windows and looks out onto the garden. The breakfast has scrambled egg, which is better than most B&B hotels. There is a very beautiful sea view nearby that can be enjoyed on foot. Probably most people choose this...
