Hotel Weber Ambassador

We still have received no response from the Hotel at check out or since from the Manager. You arrived in a great mood on holiday and we left bitterly disappointed.

Would like to pass this feedback onto the Manager.

Our stay at your Hotel has not been pleasant. We are celebrating our Anniversary and we have travelled from Venice>Milan>Como>Rome>Praiano which were all very enjoyable stays before arriving.

Our Concerns;
When we arrived to check in on Sunday 4th August at approx. 12pm we took advantage of the shuttle service from the harbour and upon arrival when the van stopped there was an argument between hotel guests and that driver .

As we entered the Hotel we understood we may need to wait until 2pm for check in but there was an argument at the Reception between a Hotel Guest (Lady) and several of the staff which was not a very good second impression or experience for anyone in the lobby, Whilst i don't know what the argument was about the conversation should of been moved away form other Guests much sooner.

When we were checking in they young Man with the curly hair was still distracted by the argument that he only gave us partial information about out stay which resulted in me needing to clarify information with the other older Gentleman at Reception who was helpful

We had also asked the younger man of we could let us know if the room became available, he advised he would notify me as we were waiting in the Foyer. He then forgot to let us know that our room was ready, we were only notified by one of the bell boys later who was pleasant after he observed us waiting and checked for us.

The Room itself has a wonderful view but does not present as clean and the shower head has hair all over it that suggests it has not been cleaned. More importantly the shower itself has low water pressure making it difficult to have a shower.

Additionally the female staff member in the pool bar is not very pleasant and i feel it impacts guest experience who are here to have a holiday. Several other guest shared similar concerns to us unprovoked.

Finally and most frustratingly this morning at approx 8.30am we spoke to the same young man at reception and handed over 2 bags of laundry to be cleaned. We made it very clear that we were departing tomorrow morning at 9am and would need the same day. He assured us it would be fine and the clothes were delivered to our room (#440). As of 7.30pm we had not received our clothes so upon having dinner in your restaurant checked with the Reception. The Gentleman went and checked and returned to advise that the laundry was still in the bags downstairs and had not been cleaned. This is very frustrating as we would have made alternative plans but again have been let down by the hotel.

We made our feeling that our stay had not been bad considering the cost and rating of the hotel to the lady at the Reception but once again.

Antonio and the reception staff were great. But in this hotel you only pay for the view. The rest was a total ripp off. This is not a 4 star hotel.
We got a room without a window - never saw something like this in my life. It was dirty. Everything promised on booking.com was not there. Pool closed, food not good, extra services overpriced and somehow nothing works. Laundry service very experience and clothes were badly ironed - and just ironing only one dress was 6€... Cafe bar was also horrible and not even close for a good coffee you would take in a normal Bar - for a coffee you needed to go to the pool. The gym was basically a small room with no air circulation so no way you can get a proper exercise. Conclusions , absolutely not worth for the price , horrible organization but beautiful view and location. I suggest to better have a place in Anacapri and only do a day trip to Capri.
