This hotel on the edge of central Siena is brilliantly situated, next to the city gate, but with great countryside views at the back. Our room was spacious and full of character, with great views and a good shower. There is a bar , from where drinks can be taken onto the lovely terrace - a great place to watch the sun go down! Breakfasts are good, though with more emphasis on sweet cakes and less on cheese & ham than in most places. It’s probably worth mentioning that there are a couple of quirks which didn’t overly worry me: guests are requested to clear their breakfast tables when they finish, rather than having staff clear, clean and reset them as in most places. And the lift is a charming antique that can only accommodate one instruction at a time!

I have been staying here for over 10 years and I would never consider staying anywhere else in Siena. Perfect old world charm, massive, comfortable rooms, and the garden out back has incredible views out over the countryside. It’s such an oasis from the city, but still 10 minutes from the Piazza del Campo.

Lovely choice! I thought it was in a slightly quieter area, but not far at all from everything. The room was spacious, had a lot of mirrors and outlets, and bathroom was very big. It had AC and elevator. Staff were so nice, and they communicated well via email before arrival. Complimentary breakfast was great, included cappuccinos and the view from eating outside was 😍

This is a lovely historic hotel with a gorgeous view and garden! The breakfast provided was very nice and the woman making the espresso & cappuccino’s was wonderful. We had a very large upgraded room which had a garden view & a view of the Tuscan hills beyond. The shower was very large by Italian standards. Every detail in this hotel was so well thought through. We highly recommend this hotel & would jump at the chance to stay again!

Love this hotel! Parking was very straightforward (go to reception first). The walk to downtown is like 5 minutes. The room was spacious and bright. Our view was to the Cathedral, the other side of the hotel viewed Tuscan hills. The best, most underrated part was that our bathroom had a large mirror and a light over the mirror. I’ve been staying in 5 star hotels at vineyards all week and this is the first hotel to (finally!!!) have a well-lit bathroom.

Very underrated hotel. The view from the terrace is exceptional. We had breakfast on the terrace which provided great views, and the food was delicious too. No hot food, just pastries, fruit, cheeses, cereal etc. but delicious and plentiful. They even have a pet tortoise that lives in the garden and will join for breakfast!
Impeccably clean hotel with nice decor. Very good value for money. Thoroughly recommended.
I would recommend getting a taxi to the hotel if arriving by train, and don’t rely on taxis being at the train station.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and beautiful and bathroom had very good quality toiletries. The breakfast is really good, and the possibility to eat it in a private garden makes it even better ( the garden is absolutely amazing). The private parking lot makes it perfect if you drive. We were very happy with everything.
One little minus is the level of noise. The building is old, so these the ceiling/floor is absolutely not soundproof of course. We heard every step, every loud conversations/laugh, every moving bags/things etc. If you have problems with sleep, it can be disturbing during nighs. This is absolutely not the hotels fault, this is the price you pay to live in the historical building.

Our stay was fantastic!!!
This hotel is super well located in the center of Siena and at the same time is very quiet to rest.
The garden is a great place to watch the sunset and have breakfast in the morning outdoors....
All the hotel staff is charming for their good treatment and availability and especially “Francesca”, who was very patient with us. The rooms are spectacular and with a lot of quality in the details.
We will come back on our next trip to Tuscany...

A friend recommended this hotel to us and it did not disappoint. Our room was small, but very comfortable and pretty, with an absolutely stunning view of the Tuscan countryside. They have some limited parking, which was great, and their staff was very helpful with negotiating the streets of Siena and the ZTL zones. Breakfast was great, with many delicious options. The real star though, is the back patio. I highly recommend getting a beverage of your choice from the bar and relaxing in one of the wicker chairs to admire Tuscany for an hour or two. Absolutely gorgeous.

Out stay at Hotel Palazzo Ravizza was such a unique experience... We would 1000% return and stay again. Each day started with a GREAT breakfast - very well stocked and varied, enough to feel full most of the day. The highlight of most of our nights in the Hotel was the outdoor terrace with a bottle of wine... We enjoyed beautiful sunsets with incredible views of the Siena countryside. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept. The only few downsides - our refrigerator wasnt working, and was not replaced or fixed. Also, the Wifi signal is quite limited, so we had to adjust for that (this should be an easy fix for the hotel, not sure why they haven't addressed it). But these are really very minor inconveniences that didnt affect our overall experience. In the end, our stay here improved our Siena vacation.
