Siena, Via Antonio Lombardi 41 🧭 Map
I stopped by here on my Philgrimage tour. The accommodation is very good. It's a smoke free environment. The service is very efficient, staff are very helpful and friendly. Lots to discover in this area in terms of tourism.
Our experience at this hotel was amazing. The entire staff is professional, efficient, helpful and pleasant. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Breakfast every morning was more than we expected with a decent variety of foods. The pool was refreshing especially after a 40 degree day in the sun. We truly enjoyed our stay here. It is located outside historic Siena which was to our liking, however...
This hotel is lovely! The rooms (mine was a Superior King) are nicely designed and spacious, with powerful showers and plenty of hanging space. The prices in the hotel bar are very fair and comparable to prices in Siena itself, with a glass of wine costing €7. The breakfast offerings, though simple, are plenty; there is hot food, breads and pastries, cereals, fruits, juices, meats, and cheeses, so...
Great stay. Hotel is clean, comfortable, and the service was fantastic. Was helped by Julia at the front desk, who was super accommodating for a special request. Free parking and free breakfast are a huge bonus. Only downside is that it is just out of walking distance to downtown Siena.
Really good hotel considering the price. Of course consider the location, but if you can live with the fact that you’re not in the city centre, this is a real gem 👍🏻
Doesn't deserve 4 stars. At the reception good and polite service but elsewhere the personnel is unqualified. Not so very clean rooms and in the morning very noisy, you can hear everyone and everything passing by your room.....

Stayed here for the weekend. The hotel is quite busy although it’s low season. The room is standard, but with good design and layout. Clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very good. Lots of variety and good quality food. The location is convenient. You can reach the city centre within five minutes by walk. It’s a perfect stay considering the good price. Will stay...
We went on a trip through Italy for 3 weeks and this is the best hotel we’ve stayed at! The staff are very friendly especially Carlos, David and Simone, as well as the kitchen staff! Free breakfast from 7-11 and valet free parking! Clean and comfortable rooms! If you’re ever in Sienna, Hotel Athena is the number one place to stay at!
Lovely hotel with exceptional service. The location is on the outskirts of the town center, but nothing is more than a 10 min walk anyway, so take that in context. The only issues were that the wifi was really really slow and the air conditioner never got cool enough. Otherwise, the room was very clean and quite large, including the bathroom. The view from our room was also very nice.
Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and great rate! Highly recommended! Location is just perfect and away from the busy city centre. We enjoyed our daily walk around the city and back to the hotel later in the day. Great scenery!
All my clarification considered by the price of the stay. The room was a bit small, the breakfast was basic and very crowded. I really missed a good bakery.. The center is in walking distance. Tje staff are very kind and supportive. But everything is closed from 3pm to 7pm either in the hotel and in the city. Parking is good. The view from the room or from the roof bar is stunning.
Room was comfy. A bit outside the main tourist area. We had half-board for the hotel restaurant, and would have been better off eating elsewhere.

Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay. The view from the rooms breathtaking. We splurged on the superior room with a terrace, size for Italian hotel rooms above average. The building is old but well taken care of. The staff was very helpful and friendly. You can enjoy breakfast outside on a little courtyard terrace or relax in one of the deck chairs in the garden. At the moment there is no breakfast buffet...
Nice view & the stuff was really friendly! Most of them speak English, which makes the stay for tourists easy and enjoyable 🧡 Our room was a little bit too small (might be a problem, if you want to stay for a longer period of time & spend a lot of time in the room- but I guess they have also bigger rooms in this case) - but for us it was perfectly fine !
Perfect location! Amazing view of Siena from the room. Vintage Italian classic style. Very helpful staff and tasty breakfast! Breakfast in the room or buffet. Parking available 20€ per day! 10 min walk from the Piazza del campo.
If you get an economy room, you won't get a view. No big deal because you'll spend your time in the center anyway.
What a great beginning to our pilgrimage! We shall carry-on from here! Looking forward to future stays.
Nice quite hotel. Easy to find, great location. This is a simple but not too fancy hotel. Breakfast has been great. Beds comfortable. The wifi speed has the been the best of any hotel we stayed at in Italy. And we've been lucky enough to have a super view of the city from our balcony. All of this in a very inexpensive hotel. It's not fancy or pretensions. It's just a good place to stay. ...

Beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere, the best staff and service you can find. A great location if you have a car to tour the area.
Believe the hype, this place is a dream! Such a beautiful building and surroundings, quiet and relaxing yet close to Siena, fantastic service, remarkable breakfast, One of the finest hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in.
What a location! Honest dishes with great wines. Quite junior staff, but ever friendly and correct. Will go back!
The property is so wonderful! Incredible atmosphere in this ancient monastery is something everyone should experience! And the staff is just lovely and really trying hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible! Especially many thanks to Noemi
Hotel in an old monastery close to Siena, if it weren't for the heat easy to visit Siena without a car. Standard rooms, no.3 with an uninteresting view. Do not count on dinner at the hotel, after arriving at 20.00 after 8 hours of travel, we heard that there is no free table for dinner. We were offered chips. The facility itself is very nice, atmospheric, with panoramic views of the surroundings...

we stayed here for a week with a group of 36 people! Highly recommended, the hotel rooms had just been renovated, beautiful. Point of attention is perhaps more clothes hangers, and 2 chairs to place in the rooms, there was only 1 now. But clean towels every day, and everything was neatly cleaned and made up every day, a big compliment! The staff was just as friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more...
Great hotel!!! The rooms are modern and comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are kept clean by the excellent staff there. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. The spaces are spotless, the rooms also very clean and tidy. The staff very helpful, smiling and always willing to help us with whatever we needed. The breakfast very good. Everything is perfect !!! We will definitely stay again in the future. Thank you.
Currently undergoing a big renovation but the work did not disturb my stay. Great breakfast and good restaurant on lower ground floor.
Rooms were a bit bare and cold, but the breakfast was fine and the hotel is only a few minutes away from the historic Sienna centre.
Service was good and the people are nice. Dinner was great but breakfast could have been better. The wifi though is amazing!

Excellent swimming pool with good depth range. Fantastic bar snacks and helpful staff and best of all was the evening dining experience. Attentive reception staff were able to advise with tourism plans and transport to get the most out of the stay & Siena. Thank you for making Tuscany special!
Excellent breakfast, good service, clean room, a nice pool, a lot of parking. Not the closest to the center. Overall, everything was ok we enjoyed it :)
This hotel is great. It's about 20 minutes from Siena centre. It has a bus stop just outside the hotel entrance. The food is really good, with the restaurant on a terrace. The hotel is quite old fashioned which is in keeping with the town. It is clean and the staff are really friendly. I would definitely come and stay here again.
We have stayed here every trip now for many years. It is a truly beautiful sanctuary with great staff, wonderful pool, and good food including a huge breakfast buffet. We understand it will be changing ownership so to the owner: thank you for years of joy! To the new owners: what they’ve been doing works! We look forward to continuing our patronage.
Peaceful and calm place, really nice and friendly staff. I had a problem with my car and they did everything to make my stay unforgettable. The location is fantastic and it’s terrace offers you a very beautiful view of the city! The pool also was clean and comfortable. If you looking for a calm and relax place this Hotel is the best choice.
Great hotel just 10min walk from the historical center entrance. Very calm, clean and nice. Book it directly at official hotel site to save some money. In addituon we got a room with a view into a garden for free as an extra, the hotel seems to be quite empty nowadays which is good for those who are looking for a calm and relax. This is tremendous value if you are on a road trip, particularly with children, looking for a base in Tuscany. The apartments are spacious and excellently furnished. You can easily prepare your own meals if desired. There is lots of space outside with tables, chairs, pool, etc. There is a washing area. The hotel is in the country just outside Siena, but 3 minutes walk from a huge modern Coop supermarket...
The location and grounds are amazing as well is the staff. The rooms on the other hand leave a bit to be desired. While everything you may need is there, the furnishings, appliances, and fixtures are well dated. The walls are also quite thin and on our second night we were awakened multiple times by the people above us. We could hear every footstep on the tile floors and most of what they were saying
I’ve just stayed at Borgo Grondaie for three weeks and absolutely loved it. I am already planning my return next year. I had a lovely apartment with a terrace not far from the saltwater pool. The location was fantastic for me - I could easily drive to see friends I have who live close by, the train station is nearby also, as well as the escalator up to Siena. Having a supermarket 5 mins walk away was...
A beautiful location! Surrounded by wildlife and countryside while also being very accessible to Siena and nearby shops. I loved my stay here and will be sure to return when I’m in the area. We had a great stay here, with a special shoutout to the staff who were all so brilliant. They were friendly and helped however they could. The hotel is wonderful, with super grounds including a charming BBQ offer. We had a beautiful and tranquil weekend at Borgo Grandaie. The rooms were simple but fully kitted with AC and everything else one would need for a weekend away. A modern and bright hotel with rooms of a good size. The room had a good number of power points and the lighting was better than that in many other hotel rooms. The room had a kettle. The bus (number 54) to Siena centre was both frequent and surprisingly easy to use: you can get one way tickets...
Friendly and professional staff, close to superstrada, with separate and free parking, modern and comfortable room incl. AC - fully recommendable.
Hotel is nice and updated. The bathroom is modern. The employees are very very nice and helpful. Can direct you to good wineries nearby. Old city Siena is only accessible via car. You can’t walk there from hotel because it is about 1.5km away and all up hill. About €10-11 to the main plaza.
Very clean hotel. Near to the city Center. Room are perfect. There's a parking outside close in the night. Receptionist are good. Only breakfast can be improve
It is a very good hotel for the price. The stuff was really kind and helpful, explaining clearly useful tips about what to see in Siena and how to get there. Nice, clean modern hotel. Good breakfast choices. A few restaurants nearby. Quite a trek up to the main town area but the bus service is good and cheap or, if you walk, there is an elevator for the main part of the hilltop climb to the centre of Siena .

The Hotel is really perfect. Very clean, great breakfast, lovely rooms, attractively priced, walking distance to center. BUT: The noise of the street is too much and the reason for not giving 5 stars. Especially because I asked for a room with garden view during reservation🤔

Great hotel in a wonderful city. Fantastic room and breakfast. There is a gym - I didn’t use. 5 or 10 min walk to the main square. Great location.
An incredible experience. We were there to try to see il Palio the first day but it rained. The hotel has a great location, but above all, as in every NH hotel, the staff, specially in Reception giving us that quality welcome and always being so close, made our stay in Siena, a beautiful place that stole our hearts, unforgettable. Looking forward for visiting you again. Definitely 10/10
It is convenient for an easy walk almost anywhere. Bar was closed, no outdoor space that we could find. Directly across from a bus hub so that can be good or bad.
We was very happy about this HOTEL. Mario in the reception was very kind, serviceminded and helpful. One of the best service experience ever.

Great location. Less than ten minutes’ walk from the train station using the long escalator. Around 2km to Siena center. Staff very friendly. Gave us a free map and shared everything we need to know about the city. Good breakfast. Spacious room. Will stay here if I visit again.
Such a cute hotel, Especially the vegan breakfast! I recommend to write in advance that you are vegan, so you can have a lot of options. The rooms are clean and beautiful and the energy here is so nice and calm, vegan friendly and eco friendly. Thank you❤️ I really recommend
Location was quite a short walk from the Station itself and on top of that, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast served had a Wide variety of options, and they all tasted exceptionally good. Rooms have a very nice atmosphere and are decorated with a really nice vibe. However, if with 4 people, the room does get quite cramped and squeezy.
