This 5-star gem nestled in the heart of the old city is a testament to authentic beauty. We were delighted with an upgrade to a room boasting a breathtaking balcony overlooking the entire city. The staff's professionalism and warmth, coupled with a sumptuous breakfast and the convenience of valet parking, made our stay truly memorable.
The Grand Hotel Continental in Siena is a gem when it comes to location—just steps away from Piazza del Campo, making it ideal for exploring the heart of the city. The service is impeccable and certainly deserves five stars. Housekeeping attends to the room twice daily, and the staff’s attentiveness ensures every need is met. The reception team is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, adding a...
Just dropped in for afternoon refreshment after a day meandering around Siena delights and warmly welcomed by the concierge, even though we weren't staying there. This hotel is something else! Beautiful inside, staff all smiles. It is as luxurious as their media pages look. Now I need to find a reason to come back again. Thank you.
We stayed for one night and had adjoining rooms. The communication before arrival was excellent as I had some questions about arrival and options, and we had a very friendly check-in! The rooms are clean and they have great bathroom products, and VERY comfortable beds and pillows. AND THE AIR CONDITIONING IS AMAZING! The location is also the best- right in the middle of great shops and restaurants...
The hotel is tucked away in central Historic Siena, we had a challenge with the GPS and it took us a complicated way and we actually got stuck down an alley way. We called the hotel and they sent their porter to come help us, he was amazing and helped us stay calm and navigate out of our situation and get us to the hotel correctly. We had a great time and wonderful views of the city. You can walk...
Concierge and check in staff extremely helpful and attentive - from walking us through how to drive to the location (despite the pedestrian zone!) as well as giving suggestions for what to see not only in Siena but in the surrounding Chianti region, including helping to make a few calls to ensure booking was possible. Room itself is nice- tall ceilings with big windows and comfy beds. Excellent bathroom...

Great hotel in a wonderful city. Fantastic room and breakfast. There is a gym - I didn’t use. 5 or 10 min walk to the main square. Great location.
An incredible experience. We were there to try to see il Palio the first day but it rained. The hotel has a great location, but above all, as in every NH hotel, the staff, specially in Reception giving us that quality welcome and always being so close, made our stay in Siena, a beautiful place that stole our hearts, unforgettable. Looking forward for visiting you again. Definitely 10/10
It is convenient for an easy walk almost anywhere. Bar was closed, no outdoor space that we could find. Directly across from a bus hub so that can be good or bad.
We was very happy about this HOTEL. Mario in the reception was very kind, serviceminded and helpful. One of the best service experience ever.
NH Siena stands as a convenient haven in the heart of Siena's historical treasures, making it an ideal base for exploring the city's rich heritage. Its prime location ensures easy access to the iconic landmarks and charming streets that define this enchanting destination. Guests can indulge in a satisfying breakfast spread, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day on the right note...
The hotel is in a good location. And the lobby looks nice and clean. However the hallways and rooms are old. There is no art on the walls in your room. The bathrooms are old and stained. There’s no coffee or tea maker in the room. It’s pretty basic. The staff is very nice and helpful however. I have not been to a nh hotel like this before. May not choose nh again after this.

From the moment we arrived our stay was enlighteed by genuine hospitality and professionalism from all the staff. This Hotel has an ideal location at a walking distance to the most important attractions. Our room was nice, spacious, clean with beautiful 50 inches TV screen. The breakfast was perfect.
Room good and reasonably quiet particularly as we overlooked the highway. Bathroom rather small but well maintained. Breakfast very good . Parking free and big! Overall a pleasant stay. Staff polite and hard working.
The hotel is in a perfect position for those who want to visit Siena. A stone's throw from the historic center and in front of bus stops for neighboring villages. Kind staff and attentive to customer needs. Breakfast buffet very rich and good quality. The beds are very comfortable.
It's a good hotel. Clean. Good service. Not expensive. Good value for money. Near the historical city. Parking. Public Transport nearby. My room was a bit noisy because of the road. I would return.

We had a wonderful stay here and found the location to be very convenient. As others stated it's a short walk from the train station/ mall escalators and a short walk to inside the city walls. Their breakfast is great and the staff is friendly.
Great location. Less than ten minutes’ walk from the train station using the long escalator. Around 2km to Siena center. Staff very friendly. Gave us a free map and shared everything we need to know about the city. Good breakfast. Spacious room. Will stay here if I visit again.
Such a cute hotel, Especially the vegan breakfast! I recommend to write in advance that you are vegan, so you can have a lot of options. The rooms are clean and beautiful and the energy here is so nice and calm, vegan friendly and eco friendly. Thank you❤️ I really recommend
Location was quite a short walk from the Station itself and on top of that, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast served had a Wide variety of options, and they all tasted exceptionally good. Rooms have a very nice atmosphere and are decorated with a really nice vibe. However, if with 4 people, the room does get quite cramped and squeezy.
I cant say enough about this hotel. Great service and lovely rooms. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It's a perfect hotel to stay in to experience Siena, especially if you are using the train. Walking distance to the old city - Il Duomo, Piazza del Campo, etc. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was very good and great coffee, the location of the hotel in the center of Siena was perfect, but the room was on the small side. The staff were very helpful with my questions about where to park, especially Barbara.
Everything was very professional, from the booking to pre-arrival communication to the stay itself. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast was very good as well - we didn't try the restaurant for lunch/dinner as we were in the old part of town sightseeing from morning until late evening. We took a bus to Siena so the location was very convenient - easy walk from bus stop. It can get noisy around the hotel...
Beautiful small Boutique type hotel. Large rooms , excellent service, friendly staff. Location is excellent to see all the sights. Will definitely stay here again. Shout out to Marco front desk person. Made our arrival very smooth. All the staff was very very helpful and made us feel welcome.
The Albergo Chiusarelli is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean! The bathrooms have been updated and are very nice. We had a room that had a wonderful view of the area, and we loved being able to open the windows without worrying about the sound from the street. Professional service, tidy room and excellent location. Breakfast was nice and service friendly.
Our stay could not have been better. Great location. Very comfortable, well appointed rooms. Excellent cleanliness and maintenance of the entire facility during COVID-times was most appreciated. It was the first time we traveled in a year & a half. Breakfast was good wholesome choices served by a well trained staff.

One of the best hotel experiences in my life. Don’t be fooled by pictures, it is WAY BETTER. It does have all the vintage decorations and style, but everything is exceptionally clean and has contemporary bathrooms. I was a little worried it would have smells and dust like other castle like hotels I have visited, but I was wrong. This place is created and managed with great care and attention. All...
Although I’m not used to staying at 3-Star hotels, I have to say this place was not half bad. It’s within the old city walls, but a 10min walk to the Piazza. A building with a lot of character. Has private parking behind hotel, but a little tricky to find and have to carry your own luggage up the stairs. I really liked our room. It had a visually separated living room. A great view of the garden and...
Beautiful hotel! The views from our room and from our garden terrace were incredible. We spent the mornings with breakfast on the terrace and brought our own wine for sunsets to enjoy. They also have a bar open during the evenings so that you can enjoy cocktails from the terrace as well. The staff are very friendly and helped us with calling taxis. The rooms are very spacious and simple but charming...
Love this hotel. Staff could not have taken better care of us when we arrived. We booked the deluxe double room, and it was majestic. The view was incredible. Went to 5 cities in Italy this trip and this hotel by far had the best cappuccino. Definitely recommend!
Wow- we loved this hotel! We had a mix up during travel that led us to an unexpected night in Sienna at Hotel Palazzo Ravizza and to say it exceeded expectations is putting it lightly! We were welcomed by Cecila who could not have been more helpful. She was kind enough to offer us an upgraded room and made a reservation at a local spot. She even got us the best table outside! After an extremely long...
Stayed for 2 nights in early July of 2021. We stayed in the room with a balcony - but what we hadn't bargained for was the exceptional nature of the room itself. It was tremendously grand in a manner appropriate to the age of the building, with a incredibly high decorated ceiling and a huge entrance door - real wow factor. I would almost say the balcony itself in the room wasn't worth it as the view...

Great location to stay in Siena with private parking, and amazing views. Great breakfast and very nice staff. Rooms are ok.
It’s close from the historic center. But the bedrooms are super little, the mattresses are very old, the WiFi is bad. And during the mornings everything it’s super noisy. The breakfast is good and the views from the hotel are amazing.
Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was large and the bathroom seemed to be updated recently. The views are amazing and there is free parking if you have a car. The rooms are a bit loud and the WiFi was spotty but overall great for the price.
Lovely hotel just outside the city centre (approx 15-20 min walk) with free parking and amazing views of the Siena countryside. Rooms are good for the price, we paid around €60 for a superior double including breakfast. Easy access to the hotel from the autostrada and being able to park the car whilst we walked into town was a boon as like most cities in Italy you have to be careful of the Zona Traffico...

Relaxing property just on the outskirts of Siena old town. Perfect for a couple of wind down days after a hectic trip. Almost felt like we were out in the Tuscan countryside.
What we liked: - The history of the hotel - The pool, nice and spacious - The view over it's surroundings - Near Siena/old city What could be improved: - The rooms are a bit outdated, a bit to small but mostly very clean - The beds in the room are to hard - The service is good, but some of the staff members are a bit to stiff, relax and laugh a bit more? - Loads of mosquitoes near the pool and outside...
We were some of the first guests after the pandemic and the experience was great. This is a great location to explore Siena and the villages around. The rooms are large and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent
Excellent place to stay! Warm welcoming people... Ideally located. Beautiful views!
Great villa close to Siena, strategically placed for visiting Tuscany. Outdoor breakfast and dinner area is really nice. Service is very welcoming and attentive. Poolside nice and not too busy.
Beautiful old world style Tuscan villa, wood floors doors and walls, fireplace, piano & comfy chairs with 24 hour bar service. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the service is superb! The grounds are lovely with various places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee.

I wanted to write this for those who are traveling to Siena. I had followed a Rick Steve's recommendation and stayed at Piccolo Hotel Etruria for one night in June (2018). Not real fancy, but a great location. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Yes, I would stay here again.
A small but very taken care of hitel.
Excellent hotel in the heart of Siena, beside the famous Piazza del Campo. Clean rooms, very kind and professional staff, every room with AC, internet working in the whole hotel, tasty breakfast with some local artesanal cakes sweet and salty. Excellent ratio price/quality. Really suggested if you decide to visit this beautiful city!
Great location! Cozy little hotel with clean rooms, nice staff, relatively normal bathrooms, and non-smoking. Only drawback is the noise outside due to the bar nextdoor.
Nice hotel. A little too expensive for a sole traveler, though its located in the very city center, so 45 euros/night is more or less reasonable for a late October. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little overpriced (6.50 €) and in the single room there were only 2 electricity sockets, one of which wasn't working. We went on a trip through Italy for 3 weeks and this is the best hotel we’ve stayed at! The staff are very friendly especially Carlos, David and Simone, as well as the kitchen staff! Free breakfast from 7-11 and valet free parking! Clean and comfortable rooms! If you’re ever in Sienna, Hotel Athena is the number one place to stay at!
Lovely hotel with exceptional service. The location is on the outskirts of the town center, but nothing is more than a 10 min walk anyway, so take that in context. The only issues were that the wifi was really really slow and the air conditioner never got cool enough. Otherwise, the room was very clean and quite large, including the bathroom. The view from our room was also very nice.
Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and great rate! Highly recommended! Location is just perfect and away from the busy city centre. We enjoyed our daily walk around the city and back to the hotel later in the day. Great scenery!
All my clarification considered by the price of the stay. The room was a bit small, the breakfast was basic and very crowded. I really missed a good bakery.. The center is in walking distance. Tje staff are very kind and supportive. But everything is closed from 3pm to 7pm either in the hotel and in the city. Parking is good. The view from the room or from the roof bar is stunning.
Room was comfy. A bit outside the main tourist area. We had half-board for the hotel restaurant, and would have been better off eating elsewhere.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers. The price was very reasonable, offering great value for the quality provided. It's still a long way from the main city of Siena, so you need to drive. The hotel facilities are OK.
place was nice, clean and big. service staff were kind and polite, and helped us in pointing out nearby attractions. will need to uber back, and is not walking distance from the centre of town.
This hotel is within expectations! But it can also be said to be unexpected! Every staff at the front desk treated us politely, warmly and thoughtfully. The room environment plus the mid-mountain! The olive trees in the yard are carefully decorated and I like it very much
The hotel entrance is hard to find at night, not very obvious, I almost went to the next door hotel to check in. The front desk lady is very pretty, even if she is still working on Christmas Eve, she is still very enthusiastic. I like to use Ctrip instead of booking. The hotel has a good location, but there is no special service. The hotel environment is great, but the room is very average. I just feel that the price-performance ratio is not good enough. The breakfast is also very simple or of good quality! Ate in the restaurant in the evening, the food was not amazing!
A very romantic small hotel, rich breakfast, beautiful environment, warm service, beautiful view outside the window, everything makes up a wonderful feeling, recommended
Perfect for relaxation. Everything is great. Located remotely but they can always call taxi on request.
Very good hotel, warm and thoughtful service, dinner full of ceremony.
The facilities are old, there are few breakfast options, and fried eggs cost extra (€6). The hotel is only friendly to European and American guests. The pigeon we ordered tasted bad and when we brought it up, nothing was done.
This is the most satisfying hotel during our trip to Italy. We had an unforgettable trip to Tuscany here. The hotel is first-class in terms of scenery, service and food. Stayed here for four nights recently and have stayed a few times previously. This is a long established hotel, It never disappoints. Nice rooms, very helpful staff, ample free parking, good breakfast. Restaurant is also very good. Easy (for me!) walk into the old town.
This was our second stay at the lovely Garden Hotel. We stayed last year and loved it so much we returned this September. The hotel has wonderful views across the Tuscan countryside. This hotel bills itself as a 4 star which it most definitely is not. We stayed in an annexe - Casa Bianca off the main villa which looks more like a 60s youth detention centre than a hotel and is furnished as such. Whilst we were there there were problems with the water which meant there was no running water in the taps or the toilets did not flush - and no hint of an apology from the hotel staff....
Excellent swimming pool with good depth range. Fantastic bar snacks and helpful staff and best of all was the evening dining experience. Attentive reception staff were able to advise with tourism plans and transport to get the most out of the stay & Siena. Thank you for making Tuscany special!
