Hotel Borgo Di Cortefreda

We stayed at Borgo di Cortefreda for 4 nights, our room was a “Sweet Suite” this is the hotel description. The room was massive, beautifully appointed, good bed, whirlpool bath, there was an additional room with multiple function shower/steam room and Massage beds which lead onto a spacious terrace, it’s a unique room. The food was excellent, service was good, staff worked very hard looking after 3 dining locations. The grounds were large and beautifully maintained, the pool area is exceptional with wonderful views over the countryside. Pool bar is well worth a visit, good choice of food and drinks. The only addition we would suggest is a night bar, after you have eaten, it would be nice to sit in the area around the reception and have a drink or coffee, without trying to find the restaurant staff, who have enough on their plate, no pun intended. We loved this hotel!

Gorgeous hotel. Regal with a modern feel. Gorgeous views. Beautiful pool overlooking the most picturesque views. Nice drinks. Really great staff and a restaurant better than most I’ve had throughout Italy. They have E-bikes to rent if you like and seems to be pet friendly as well. Found this by accident and I am so glad I did. Spacious rooms and so clean! Loved my time here.

Our experience at Hotel Borgo di Cortefreda in Tavarnelle, Tuscany, was simply perfect. We are a family of four from Spain and we can 100% recommend it.

From the very first moment, the service was magnificent: the staff is incredibly attentive, always ready to help and to find a solution for anything we needed. They made us feel at home, while being surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany.

The hotel itself is stunning, with a pool that offers one of the most spectacular sunsets we have ever seen. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed to relax after exploring the region.

In short: excellent service, impeccable facilities, and a dream location. We will definitely be back!

Excellent service, dated rooms but clean. Depends where you are but can be a bit hot. Room 309 is a winner nice and cool.

Staff were all very nice especially by the pool the bartender. Food for lunch was quite good and reasonable. Breakfast was very good too even had a juicer to kick start some health to the day.

Pretty far from most places. Rent a car unless you’re just doing to and from.

Fantastic countryside hotel in the heart of Tuscany. Comfortable and clean. And how can you not like a breakfast buffet with cornetti and a Nutella pump?

We have found this lovely place by chance on our way and we immediately liked it. We decided to stay for a night and it was overall a good choice.
Unfortunately after dinner when we went to bed we noticed that the door lock was broken and since it was midnight we put a table behind the door for the night and we then complained the day after at check out. Another issue was with the shower which was broken and suddenly flooded the bathroom. After we have addressed these problems we weee immediately compensated with a bottle of wine and a partial refund of the value was offered too! I hope they will fix that room because everything else was perfect and if was not for this I would have given 5 🌟

We spent our honeymoon here and still talk about how lovely everything was. Hidden gem, stunning sunsets poolside, and it felt like home due to the gracious staff.

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days at this amazing hotel and the services, facilities and location were just wonderful. Throughout our stay the staff were first class given us insightful information and guidance with warmth and positivity. The food was high quality and reasonably priced and the staff serving were exceptional and deserve high praise.
Thank you to the reception staff who booked us in early, gave us choices of room and helped organise our activities.
We would recommend this to couples, friends and families with young children. The location is excellent for biking and travelling to vineyards, visiting local towns and is a short drive to both Siena and Florence.
A very enjoyable mini break, we will definitely return.

Outstanding hotel in all aspects: location, rooms, “infinity” pool, A/C and very good breakfast with many choices. Excellent for long stay, 2 villages close by.
