Il Piccolo Castello

This is not a four star hotel . It is in a pretty area , although on a main road and not within walking distance of amenities . Pool was shut all through our stay which was disappointing . On our second night we woke at 3am to find ants in our bed , all over the bedding and hundreds all over the floor , in our clothes and bathroom , also black bugs . Upon finding a cleaner we were told that she would hoover them up !! Then spray all the room whilst we were out !! We said we were not staying in a room that had been sprayed with chemicals all day and the ants were absolutely everywhere . We were then told no rooms available ! We said you’ll have to find us one . We did move but it was awful , Italian children running up and down the corridor till after 11 o’clock at night screaming and shouting !! No respect . We had a flight the next morning . Would not stop there again as not a four star . Best thing was the food for evening meal and that’s all really .

I hesitate to even give this two stars. It’s alone in the countryside, so you are confined to hotel property unless you want to take a taxi. The beds are uncomfortable and our shower was 2 feet square. The breakfast is mediocre at best. We had mold in our shower.

This was a humuliated experience I'd ever had staying at this hotel. After we picked a table for breadfast, the waiter drove us away to the destinated table when our group where we were told to took our last diner. I think she was trying to save table works, I don't know, could be racist. Leaving all the emty tables and a bunch of idling waiters, we were concentrated at a large table. The waiter's attitude is so unaceptible, no wonder there were so few guests around.

Looked like the lady manager didn't like customers. We were confined to our own tables, at dinner and at breakfast. She was serious, looked mad when we took the other tables. She act the same way for other quests, weard!
