Location: in the town of Sestriere, 65 km from Turin airport, 52 km from the Courchevel airport, 159 km from chambéry airport, 250 m from the ski lift Garnel'.

An impressive property with an elegant walk-in... immaculate lobby with a Cartier watch offering immediately let's you know you are in an upscale property... the outside facade also boasts their Michelin restaurant rating as the cuisine here is infamous...

We spent here our 46th wedding anniversary with a long weekend stay to enjoy Trieste . Everything was fine , we appreciated a lot the complimentary room upgrade, the staff was kind and proactive with us, we had fantastic breakfasts and gorgeoud dinners both in the bistrot and the 2 stars restaurant.

TLDR: Rooms are a little small but opulent. And I've never had better service.
There is a concierge that is willing to help you however he can.
Beautifull pool, spa in basment.
Would print off train schedules for us or call us a taxi, 24/7 staff in standby for anything we need.
we asked for restaurant recommendations, and after giving our criteria, they called to reserve our table.
And we're able to accommodate all our requests. Simple as a razor or complex as anything you want.
Spoke several languages FLUENTLY
Best location in all of trieste with a great view of the square and city hall. Walking distance to everything. Marble everything. The bellhop Mathiew was amazing!

Went for drink. Waiter very snooty and distant. Bar is beautiful but more upmarket for well off people. Drink prices w were surprisingly Low. Beautiful location.

the appartment was as described - large (> 50 m2) with lots of space, dining area, kitchen, sleeping area, and most of the equipment was in good shape like refrigerator, dish washer, washing machine. only the shower itself showed some signs of aging but appartment style + equipment was good and cosy. Also the location itself on the piazza unità d' italia is very suitable as many parts of the little city can be explored on foot from here. The real down side is the NOISE. Although the hotel does have well sealed windows, one does sometimes like to open these windows when AC is not required all of the time. It is unfortunate and sad that the surrounding bars and restaurants make a habbit of playing *very* loud (loudspeaker) music every evening, one louder than the other, with no real motivation, and well beyond midnight, on 2 occasions of our 7-day-stay even until 3 o'clock in the morning. Yes i do know that this is not the hotel's fault, yet the hotel(s) should stick together and urge the municipal of Triest to change these circumstances. They make the city feel cheap and unpleasent.

stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights following a cruise. The hotel is literally 5 minutes walking distance from the cruise pier.
The hotel is fabulous the staff are friendly and the location is perfect

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location. Highly recommend. Breakfast was exquisite. Our room was small enough but very nice and comfortable.

Very disappointing service and bad behavior of the stuff in the hotel. Two weeks after we paid bill for the rooms they are still keeping our deposit charged from the bank account. Reception and hotel manager can not explain why they are still not returning back our money. We are forced to engage lawyer to protect our interests

Horrible experience with Grand Hotel Duchi D'Aosta! Be very careful with your credit/debit card! When I booked this hotel over the phone with their reservation department they asked me for mine credit card just for the security reasons. Even before we came to the hotel they have deduct the money from mine card, plus we have paid our rooms when we were leaving the hotel (we had two rooms for two nights), twelve days later they still didn't pay the money into my account.
Beside the problem with taking the money without my permission they told me one rate per room per night over the phone and different when they send me an email.
The rooms on 4th floor are absolutely horrible, we were in room 401 and our friends in 402. Be advise that there isn't internet on the entire 4th floor, no warm water, and during the night you will hear the heating system or A/C when ever is someone turning the heating or A/C on and off, such a loud noise above 4th floor that you won't be able to sleep like ourselves.
Having said all of this above, will never ever go back there, shame on their bad business model by tricking the guests. We are contacting the local lawyer office due to problem with the money they have taken without permission and keeping them for two weeks now.
