Star Hotel in Battambang

Room was spotless and huge! It was so cheap and it was perfect for a couple of nights stay.

Also the staff were super kind and accommodating as seems to be the case with everywhere in Cambodia, they were the kindest people.

Basic hotel in a nice location. Good price for what you get.
Note no elevators, if you have difficulty walking or have a lot of luggage

The hotel is located right next to several bus transfer stations. It is very convenient to travel to and from other parts of Cambodia. The hotel is cheap but the relative facilities and facilities are not very demanding. There are very few residents in Battambang at night, so the location of the hotel is a bit remote when walking. Personal access is required. Note that it’s totally fine during the day, and it’s fine for business trips.

Star hotel offers great value accommodation that is clean, comfortable and spacious. There is a large waiting area in the reception lobby with water and chairs.

The rooms are quite spacious and has both a ceiling fan and air conditioning.
Bedding is comfortable also.

Star hotel is a short walk from the markets and the street stalls along the river.

There is free WiFi available.

Stayed for one night as part of an organised tour in December 2023. Our tour guide had made us aware that the hotel was fairly basis but it was only a one night stop, so that didn't really matter much. The hotel is right in the middle of town and the lobby has a very ornate wooden front desk, with some chairs and local artefacts. Check-in was quick and easy and they requested that keys were left at the front desk when you leave the hotel. Our room was on the second floor and there's no lift so be prepared to carry your cases. The room was a good size for two with ample space for suitcases etc. The beds were fine to sleep on and everything was a bit dated, but clean and functional. There was a wardrobe, desk, small flat screen TV and a fridge. The bathroom was a just a wet room, but the shower worked okay with hot water and okay pressure. We slept okay as the room was fairly quiet and had a fan. The hotel didn't do breakfast so we got some food from the local market. There's also a very well stocked small supermarket about a 1-2 minute walk away so you can get whatever you need there. Overall a basic place, but the staff were really friendly and helpful so definitely worth considering for a good value stay.

Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're in Battambang.

I mistakenly booked a room without A/C for $10 for the night and paid $5 to upgrade, which isn't too bad.
Our room had a fan/AC/minifridge/window and 2x 3/4 size beds
Would stay again if we come back to Battambang

The body soap was out. It's just a shame here.
