My family and I arrived tired and hungry after a long drive from Siem Reap Airport, and we couldn’t have hoped for a better welcome. The bags were dealt with and the check-in seamless. The kitchen was kept open and so we could still enjoy a lovely meal. The next morning we were better able to see the true beauty of the hotel. A peaceful oasis on the edge of busy Battambang. Throughout our stay all of the staff were truly wonderful. If you like smaller, more personal boutique style hotels, this is the one for you.

The place is very enchanting from the first to the last minute. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room we stayed at was very spacious and clean. The bathroom though was a bit basic (but still very clean). The dinner next to the lotus pond was like a fairy tale. Quality and choice of the food were excellent. If you stay in Battambang, this should be your first choice!

Traditional hotel with lovely setting, pool and rooms. The hotel overlooks a nice lily pond which is beautifully lit in the evenings. There’s a monastery nearly so you often hear chanting - fur weddings and funerals: and a farm next door with ducks and cockerels so be prepared for an early morning wake up (earplugs work well). It’s a bit rustic in places so if you like contemporary and stylish then this isn’t the place for you! It’s out of town - costs about $2 for a tuk tuk

The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. I am a solo traveler and when I reserve a table at a restaurant, I usually get a small table in the back. Not at Maisons Wat Kor! The staff had prepared one of the most beautiful tables at the restaurant for me. The table had an amazing view over the water. I truly appreciate the effort they made. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Furthermore, I loved the salt water pool. The temperature of the water was perfect, not too cold. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a traditional Khmer style. The hotel feels authentic. Finally, I booked a massage and it was one of the best massages I ever had. Simply amazing! A minor issue was the socket in the bathroom that did not work. Moreover, the hairdryer was old and stopped working in the middle of drying my hair. But these are small details. Nothing to write home about. Lovely hotel!

Lovely hotel consisting of a few 2 floor buildings within wild garden and water features.
Staff were great and helpful.
The food was excellent with a choice of western or Khmer cuisine.
The room was large, welcoming and tastefully furnished with good shower/toilet facilities.
I would definitely return if the opportunity arose

My second stay here, very comfortable rooms. Soft mattresses for Cambodia, nice pillows on the beds and the rooms are quiet. Also, a nice powerful ceiling fan with 5 levels of power. One of the few places I've stayed with a flat top sheet. Food is excellent, large portions for breakfast and coffee and tea is free all day long. The set dinner menu is a great way to try a variety of dishes and has been excellent all five times I have ordered it.

We stayed one night and were really annoyed that there was a wedding right next to the hotel. The hotel apologised when we checked in and gave us ear plugs! The noise was awful and kept us awake for hours. The manager apologised but did not offer any reduction in rate. Breakfast was ok but they bought out all the food at the same time so scrambled eggs went cold! Room had plug sockets on extension lead on the floor. Beds were hard. Pool was small. Nice setting though and staff were friendly. Certainly not 5 star.

When our original hotel choice for Battambang was not available, our travel agent came up with here as an option. After a quick look online we quickly said yes & what an excellent choice of hotel she found for us.. We were greeted so very warmly when we arrived & throughout our 3 night stay the staff made you feel at ease & so very happy that you’d chosen to be staying there. The hotel is styled on a traditional Khmer property & very tasteful throughout. We had a delightful room overlooking the lily pond. The room was large & with everything you needed. A lovely open aired restaurant, again overlooking the lily pond served all the meals throughout our stay (see separate review on restaurant) A very nice swimming pool with shady areas made a perfect place to rest after a long day. The hotel is situated in a delightful small village of Wat Kor & we had lovely walks through the village visiting the village temple & ancient house. Finally it’s just a short Tuk Tuk journey into Battambang (approx $2 each way) Finally if it’s good enough for Brad & Angelina to stay there (more than once) then it’s certainly perfect for us !!!

Mark and I were thoroughly charmed by this elegant, low key hotel. The food you will eat is truly delicious. Owners Kim and Sokin Nou are warm and hospitable. Customer service at the property is excellent. Kim is an outstanding chef; you will see that he loves to cook and has trained his staff well. He and his wife will take you to the local market and then you will watch while Kim cooks a four course lunch, using fresh and local ingredients- most sourced within walking distance of the property! Worth driving from Siem Reap to Battambang just for this outstanding experience. The pool is immaculate and gorgeous. A fabulous retreat: take the opportunity to learn about under-appreciated Cambodian cuisine at this very special hotel. Ideal for a four day or more stay, so you can relax and also explore Battambang.
