Very cosy atmosphere - and, being for away from everything, is a perfect weekend getaway

We used the sauna ritual service and stayed overnight. In my opinion, a fantastic sauna ritual with a very interesting personality - a sauna woman. In my opinion, a great place for couples, a great place for new discoveries. A very thorough and caring hostess. All clean and nice, the rest is a matter of taste. We will definitely go again.

Villa Santa is greatly located. Location in the middle of the forest. Feels like a real forest home vibe, but you still stay in the city of Cesis. We stayed at Villa Santa place for 1 night with a friend's little doggy. They allowed us, but my shock was even though we paid extra for our four-legged friend, they did not even offer a dog bowl for water. Secondly, my disappointment was with the spa....

A beautiful place for relaxation and health. Staff are very welcome to visitors. The procedures are professional and qualitative. The kitchen is also a diverse offer if someone wants something more than a nice cafe. One small minus could be the Internet and mobile network coverage. Big problems for bee users, almost always outside the area. LMT is honored to be lost in the forest

A real return to the USSR era, with simple tasty food and all the interior detail of soviet times. The scenery is magnificent all around the compund. Under the hotel there's a soviet bunker, one of the last ones remaining intact and open to visitors.

Really wonderful place in a quiet neighborhood just next to the old City. The staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent experience. The A/C was a wonderful bonus in this hot Latvian summer.

What to expect from a converted garage? A lot in this case. We rented two of these well sized apartments for us and our teenaged kids. But two young kids could sleep on a fold-out coach. Comfortable bed. Small kitchen, adequate for preparing breakfast. Aircondition (not needed during our stay in the height of the Latvian Summer). Quiet and nice location; 10 minute walk to the castle.

It was really nice. Was afraid that it'll be cold in the room when went to bed, but no, it was even warmer than i thought. Beds were a bit soft for my taste, but overall, it was great experience. Thank you!

Karlamuiza is a nice little retreat inside the Gauja National Park in Latvia. I was staying in one of the new rooms and my room was very spacious with a comfortable huge bed and a very modern bathroom. The two minor things - there was miscommunication about breakfast even though we already paid a lot for the accomodation for all friends, and the evening meal. Great value for the money. Very comfortable, extremely large room. Amazing water pressure in the shower! I wish my airbnb was half this good. I’m very happy here and can highly recommend it. However! Be warned!! Google maps will put you on the back side of the building. Go around the block and you will find the entrance.

It's ok place to stay. Great location in very center of the town and has decent view out of a window and the room was clean. Only reason why I gave 3 stars is because they should not be classified as a hotel because they don't have active reception and they don't offer breakfast. Biggest wooden manor in Baltics with restored paintings and enthusiasts preserving original setting. I can highly recommend the guided tour as you will appreciate the history of the place.

Made a stop at Ungurmuiža manor in the way to Cēsis town. From plans just to see oak tree by the parking turned into 3 hours of relaxed atmosphere and lunch. English park was superb and lunch - tasty. Can recommend for peace seekers and nature lovers, as well as culture heritage explorers.

Great hotel in the centre of the town within easy walking distance of everywhere you might want to visit. The rooms are great and the cafe (downstairs) is also a bonus if you don't want to go too far for a meal!

One night stay as solo traveller. Nice hotel which is well positioned in the town near all amenities. Nice room and clear and tidy. Staff helpful and polite. There is not tea or coffee making facilities in the room but they will leans you a kettle.

I stayed in Cecis as part of a group tour. Ground floor room with a view to the carpark and main street but Cecis is not a rowdy place so not an issue! The window opened which was lovely as it was unseasonably warm. Bed comfortable enough and bathroom clean and functional. We had no clue what hotel to choose from in Cesis. We had one day planned there to see the town and the lovely castle. Our choice was steered more by what was available and the Cesis, while it showed no availability online, turned out to be available when I contacted them directly. Typical guesthouse with only 5 rooms. The furnishings are acceptable, although cheap. Good bed pillows, but the mattress is hard. NO soundproofing. The restaurant is closed, there is no reception as such. The included breakfast only serves cold cuts. Verdict - acceptable for one night, but no more.

This place constantly has good food. I've been going there for years and quality is always the same - not the fanciest dishes but tasty and will get you full.

This camp is a beautiful, clean, quiet location in the national park. Sympathetic owners. The campsite is on the river bank, you can grill on the local grills right by the water. The bathrooms are clean and spacious enough, all the places are treated. You can borrow a canoe - the owner takes you upstream and you ride a nice section of the river in the national park. Pictures are great, but you need to clean the place yourself. Toilet is outside and its whitout water. And smells like these toilets usually do 😊 Place is next to a open gravel mine, quarry, with excavators and huge trucks and a highway. In our house, fireplace\chimney looks really good, but it does not work.. At all! Got relly smokey inside 😁 I dont recommend to drink the water from the sink and shower...

Really great stay here! Location wise perfect if you want to explore the Gauja national park, not far from Riga, Sigulda or Cesis. If you want to stay somewhere a bit different and off the beaten track this is it. Fire pit, BBQ, sauna and rocking chairs to look out over the lake- just perfect. Our host was lovely, very attentive. I would come back and stay!

Landlady and her English-speaking daughter were so welcoming! Such a cute building and lobby, wish I was spending more than one night to enjoy the facilities (games, couches, yard, sauna) Easy parking. This place is fantastic! Cesis is a lovely little town and Arkhouse is a beautiful, homely place to stay. Sauna and swimming pool too! Our host was amazing and bent over backwards to do anything to help. Stay here!

Really nice accomodation. Very clean, enough space in the room, public fridge and TV. About a five minute walk to the next supermarket and about 10 to the city centre. There you can find plenty restaurants and some nice bars. Parking directly in front of the building and for free. Breakfast can be ordered separately and is prepared freshly. Loved the location, scenery, mini zoo, a walk down the river. Room had everything we needed. Spacious kitchen area for guests to use. Kids loved the outdoors, magnificent view while grilling and chilling for parents.
