Rio Verde Montenegro in Podgorica

the service was excellent. the room is beautifull, with everything i needed. the spa is amazing and the massage i got was superb. the rausterante was so proffesional - glutan free bread, perfect service. the pool was so long and open many hours .

Big rooms; everything is clean; food is excellent; nice spa; there is a sport hall (not necessary to leave the hotel to get there), where more sports can be done; location is almost outside Podgorica (10 minutes by car to the centre)

Interesting hotel with a large indoor Olympic pool, a full basketball court and nightly buffet. They also have a bar with an ala cart menu and room service. We did not use the spa but they have one on site. We were staying here to be in town for an early flight the next morning. We initially loved the hotel and we would have if it were for the temperature of the room. It was literally 80 degrees in the room. When we called down about it and asked if they had any fans she told us that they had the AC registered as “working” and were reporting a much lower temperature then what was reflected on our thermostat. Now I’m not talking about a nuanced issue where it was like 71 instead of 70, I was literally sitting there with her with sweat dripping down my chest. We dutifully ensured that the windows were battened tight (after seeing that having them open was no help on a particularly boggy Podgorica night) and the card active in the things by the door. Thankfully it was only one night but after browsing their reviews it looks like it’s something that seriously needs to be investigated. Otherwise it would have been great!

The hotel is located outside of the city but it is a good position. It is relatively new and modern. A taxi from the airport is 12€ fixed price. They were kind enough to upgrade my room as a Diamond Elite member. The room was very spacious. I could not get the required air conditioning temperature I wanted but this was fine as I could open the window. The hotel is quite functional rather than design oriented. It serves the FA Montenegro and has great facilities. A huge swimming pool with jacuzzi then a lovely spa area in the basement with two more jacuzzi, saunas and steam rooms. The restaurant was huge, and we opted for a buffet dinner for €16 and it was very nice. Really enjoyed the food actually. Breakfast was included as I’m a Diamond member and was fine. The staff were all lovely and went above and beyond to take care of us. We were able to keep the room until 1pm so that we could enjoy a tour of Podgorica before coming back then leaving to Tivat. The only real negative about the hotel was that upon waking up there was no hot water. The system I don’t think could cope with all the FA Montenegro taking a shower around the same time. A cold shower isn’t what you expect in a 5 star hotel. Otherwise I’d happily return.

Wonderful service, and hospitality. From food to room service everything was perfect, and I really appreciate the effort you put in to make our stay comfortable. The location is also adequate, it is secluded, isolated from the city noise and yet not so far from the city.

We want to thank you for really good servisies. It was quite intens period for our team, because we had European basketball chempionship, but due to nice sevisies, friendly and helpfull recepsion, really tasty food we were able to focous only on our main job - to win a medal :)

I stayed 10 days in Voco Podgorica. Hotel, room, Gym, pool: everything was perfect. Receptionists and restaurant staff were great. Food was excellent. Position not so close to the city center, but with 10/15 min of Taxi it was easy to reach it. I definitely recommend it to anyone!!

All in one place. Perfect for sports and enjoy. Spa is excellent, handball court also, tennis and pool. Food is perfect in restaurant. Coffe not so good, waiters lack of joy for work. Receptionist are perfect, spot on and always there for you.
