Hotels in Marsalforn

Spent six nights here at the Calypso in November. Great location with some fantastic walks along the shore road. Rooftop terrace with pool and the rooms with a seaview were the reason why I booked. Would stop again.

The place is okay, but not sure about the four stars. The room was not up to my expectations based on price, but the view and location was great. Was disappointed that they don’t have guest birthday policy and fridge, but breakfast was amazing and they have beach towels which was so useful!

I returned yesterday after a wonderful 2 weeks solo holiday at the Hotel Calypso. On arrival I discovered I had been upgraded to a room with a seaview....the view from my balcony was really lovely. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but extremely comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping was in every day and towels were replaced regularly. Loved this hotel. Room was comfortable, having a bath tub rather than a shower. Mattress was surprisingly good. The beach and the restaurants on the waterfront were a stone throw away from the hotel. The breakfast was abundant and delicious and the rooftop pool clean, and always with lovely music in the background. The staff were all polite and helpful. The only downside was the lack of private parking...

Had a great time here so would definitely recommend. My star rating is based on individual assessment. The staff here were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and most importantly really easy to talk with. Can't praise them enough. The hotel is of an era, yes. But that era is not too distant so whoever is complaining in their review....well.... I can only imagine they spend too much time on trigger happy...

Beautiful hotel Unfortunately our room was situated at the back of the hotel,the view was unsightly ugly. Originally when we booked it was said the pool wouldn't be open but after getting in touch with the hotel they said it would be open but wouldn't be manned,however when we went to use it It was closed off due to maintenance.This was extremely disappointing as I had my 3 grandchildren with us.

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, town centre, love it even though the TV is positioned in a very weird place above a mirror at about 2 mtrs high

Good location, few steps to the sea. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and owner. Gave advices what do see in Malta, where to park a car. It was nice to have a talk. Very wide breakfast. Very tiny bathroom. The duvet was without its cover. And looks like air con was not working.

In truth, I am more than surprised by this hotel.More than a 3-star it seems a 5-star and the treatment of Denise and Jahel, the owners, is more than excellent, they made me feel at home from the first moment I have enjoyed my stay in gozo as the most and I think of course I will return to come here, the views, the treatment, the rooms, the mattress all incredible. This hotel by all means exceeded my expectations, for the price the room was squeaky clean, breakfast was delicious ( and catered to my needs as a vegetarian) and the matress was extremely comfortable. When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait around 15 minutes for the reception to come and greet us. There was no air conditioning in the reception which is really bad because of the high temperatures we have. Room was big enough apart for the bathroom which was very small! One side of the room was all glass to see over the street but there is lack of privacy because curtains did not close very well...

This review is only for the LODGE, not for the dive store. Room was not as clean when I arrived, but was cleaned and towels changed on a daily basis (towels and bathroom had a quite strange humid smell, but that's due to the temperatures and air humidity I guess) Breakfast was brought to the room, for actual hygienic reasons. I could choose, what to have for breakfast from a list. Actually, the lodges...

Next to the diving center at a correct price, the room had everything we needed. Comfortable and clean. Not huge but bug enough. The wifi is really good ! The only thing is the breakfast time (from 7.30 am to 9.30am) not perfect when you have to be at the diving center at 8. But I loved my time there and would recommend to anyone !

Well located, very clean and tidy, the building is modern and every room has a different theme, colourful and cozy. A very nice place where to spend your holiday.

Clean, modern, air conditioning, the terrace was nice and spacious, very close from the beach and everything else in Marsalforn, the view was not great and the little fridge in the room is not doing the best job. Pre booked breakfast at 5 eur is a good pick.

After our stay at this place we can say that, Murella Living merits full marks as the quality of the venue and service is just perfect. We opted for the family suite , and we liked the decor, the space, and the comfort of these two rooms.

Nice hotel in Marsalforn, beach town in Gozo. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and the daily cleaning perfect. Breakfast is chosen from a list and served at the table, with ample choice and good quality. The breakfast room can get crowded if it's not good weather (as seats outside are not used) but it wasn't uncomfortable. Overall a great experience.

Nice place, close to the sea. On winter be ready that in general doesn't work almost everything around, especially on Sunday))). Beautiful rooms, but noisy air conditioning at night ( for me). Breakfast include tea, coffee, pastries, jam, fruits, yogurt, cheese and ham, cereals. Of you want omelet you should pay extra. In total not bad place. Recommend to come during a summer time.

Very enjoyable stay ! We will come back very soon! We spent our weekend break at Murella Living B&B and we enjoyed it a lot. It is very cozy and unique. Not one of these average hotels with typical hotel furniture. Everything about the interior design was selected with love and eye for detail to give it a nice modern vintage character. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and a couple of minutes to the sea front. The room doesn't have sea views but was cheap.

We enjoyed our meal well and they gave us excellent service. The prices of the meals are affordable. This is the best Restaurant in Marsalforn (Gozo , Malta 🇲🇹)

Joseph and his family were so so so welcoming. Check in is at 2.30 PM however we went there by 7.30 AM itself and still Joseph helped us with a room. It's a nice cozy room. We had a peaceful time there. We slept without any disturbances. One midnight AC stopped working. It's 12.30 AM. Still Joseph came to help us and he got it fixed. Breakfast was the best part. Lovely spot to spend a few nights while you're on holiday in Gozo. Two minutes walk to the beach and scuba centres. Really good service, clean, reliable, great location for walks and restaurants.

Everything but more specifically: The staff is great and the host is really welcoming and helpful. Amazing breakfast with homemade cakes and tiramisu. Eggs/bacon prepared on demand. Location is ideal. The rooms are large and confortable.

Nice Quaint rooms with exposed beams. Breakfast is good but not buffet, they serve you. No safe in room. No beach towels. Excellent satellite tv with wide variety of channels in numerous languages. Strong Wi-Fi ​i​n room. Our biggest grievance was air conditioning. It has numerous interlocks on doors and windows. When you exit the room it turns off. Our stay at Electra Guesthouse was just perfect! We had a double room with a private bathroom and balcony overlooking the ocean. To our delight, towels were refreshed and our room was cleaned spotless daily. The reason for this star rating is because the Manager was amazing and so was the room... Has for the Service received for Breakfast no Stars... No Menu was offered , Waiter had Bad Attitude, Breakfast not even that edible... Would I stay there again No Ways

A decent stay.. Nice accommodating staff..break fast included in the bill and its worth .. you need to carry coins for A/c ( i am not sure all rooms followe the same system) if you are person with walking difficulties ask before you book only thing lacking a lift

It was an amazing experience. Very clean place and friendly staff plus amazing food too. I really loved the location too

Only had meals there and the breakfast was very good. The chef obliged when we asked for something off the menu ... smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Yum. Had their pizza one evening and wouldn't write home about it.
