What can we say about this place. Amazing staff and fantastic rooms. Large and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Really comfortable beds and good breakfast. Ruby the front of house manager was exceptional and could not do enough for us both and was really great at recommending places to visit. If you are staying in an upstairs room I would say stairs are steep and narrow. If you have no mobility issues then it is completely fine and no issue but be aware that if you do then this could be an issue.

First of all, I have to say that the manager of the property was extremely kind; she was really helpful in every situation. This hotel is located inside a colonial-style house. The room is spacious and clean, although the bathroom and shower are located in the adjacent courtyard. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Highly recommended.

Excellent. Lovely old building with comforts rooms. The upstairs rooms might be a challenge if you have mobility difficulties due to the old stairs.

While this adds to the property’s character, it may be challenging for those with heavy bags or mobility concerns. Overall, a great option for travelers seeking an authentic local experience.

What a lovely stay it was. Me and my wife stayed in Gorge Town for few days to explore and experience the town. It is close enough to the busy center or attraction for a short romantic walk. You are in the center of all the best streat food places and there is a place to catch a nice drink before you return to the room - when you return you will find a lovely traditional yet spacious room with a cool interior and somehow very quiet apart form an occasion bird or call to prayer that composed with the ambient. Charming hotel in a great location. We enjoyed our 3 night stay in a ground floor room. Unique rooms with outdoor shower and toilet. Plenty of room inside and outside with ceiling fans and air conditioning. Breakfast was basic but very nice. Very close to Love Lane and walking distance to many of the old town attractions.

When I arrived in front of the Coffee Atelier, I could not believe how beautiful it is ! It is really a unique and special place. When I saw the room, it was amazing ! I spent 4 nights there and would have stayed more with pleasure. Its location is the best, near Love Lane with all the restaurants and cafes, near The Blue Mansion, and all the attractions to visit, and yet, in a very calm street. My room on the ground floor was spacious , beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Perfect in all its details. It was always very clean too. Ruby and Judy take good care of everything, and took good care of me too, helped me in everything I needed, were always so kind and attentive, gave me good recommendations of restaurants, and places to visit, and I felt at home.

Coffee Atelier, nestled in the heart of Georgetown, provided a delightful four-night stay from August 7-12. The historic shophouse, adorned with traditional motifs, instantly captivated us. We were warmly welcomed by Judy and the friendly resident cats, creating a cozy atmosphere from the start. Our spacious room boasted a charming decor that transported us back in time, allowing us to experience the old-world charm of Penang. The location was incredibly convenient, with numerous historical sites like the Peranakan Houses, Chulia Street, Armenian Street, Chew Jetty, Penang Little India, and Blue Mansion within walking distance. For those seeking nightlife, the area offers a variety of bars to explore. While the breakfast was simple, the mosquitoes proved to be a minor inconvenience, especially when enjoying the courtyard or taking a bath. Overall, our stay at Coffee Atelier was a delightful experience. Judy's warm hospitality and the quaint ambiance of the shophouse made it a truly memorable getaway.

What a great experience and charm of this small boutique inn in old George Town. Ruby made Our stay extra special with her welcoming hospitality. She was alway there and ready to help. The inn itself was so easy to use and charming in character! Breakfast was great and we were close to so much. When in George Town again we will return here.

We loved staying here. After moving hotels we booked in at short notice. It was a relief to get such a warm welcome. The rooms are charming with traditional furniture. A beautiful heritage building that made us feel like we were guests in someone’s home. Great location, with loads of restaurants, shops and coffee bars nearby. We were sad to leave. Ruby was so lovely and looked after us really well. Big hugs when we left. Thank you to Ruby and Judy for their personal touch.
