Nice hotel to stay in city area. Service is excellent. Has swimming pool, separate ladies and gentlemen jacuzzi, sauna, kids club,fitness. Room is big and clean. Air conditioning is good. Breakfast menu is good. Worth the price staying here.

The hotel and the rooms overall looks dated but clean. Staff service was at par with the usual 4/5* rating. Most of them are able to speak in English. Location is great with many local food available with ½ km and malls as well. This is the ideal location. For a holiday. The only strange thing was that housekeeping claimed they do not allow guests to borrow knives.

Ample of parking lots at multi storey parking at the back of hotel . Swimming pools for family. Sauna, jacuzzi (hot and cool) and steam room. (Separate for male and female) and children are not allowed to use these facilities. Two nicely painted tennis courts available. Cool kids room. Drink at the freezer is free to consume. Great hotel. Clean and excellent services from check in to checkout. Room requested for higher floor at 1219 is spacious, clean and excellent facilities. Love the breakfast and where else can you get free apples daily with complimentary mini bar. Location is perfect and gym facilities is great too

The hotel is beautiful. It’s a bit far from the city center though. The staff were helpful but not so friendly. The restaurants were good but did not offer traditional Malaysian cuisine. The pool area is gorgeous and relaxing.

Overall experience is great. Loved the bed and firm yet comfy pillows. Breakfast spread was great, with a pleasant surprise of fresh passion fruit. First room service experience here, western food and pizza come in huge portion and tasted great. Local delicacies were over priced though :P Would have given 5 star if the hotel could be more baby and kid friendly

Built in 1990 but has lost nothing of its charm. Rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean. A large pool with a relaxing outdoor area to sit down for a snack or drink is a nice place to be in the late afternoon or evening. Its proximity to the nearby golf course with all its greenery gives the hotel a laid back feeling.

Had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here. I was not disappointed. The food is excellent especially the deserts. The romantic ambiance of the place with the songs played really sets the mood. The staff is very courteous. The view from The View is also nice. Loved the place!

Room is comfort and the view is peaceful. The environment is well maintained. Pool is nice and have hot tub. Breakfast is great and the price is reasonable. The DoubleTree Resort is an excellent choice for a family-focused getaway with great amenities and service. However, if you're looking for a location with immediate access to George Town's city life and street food, its slightly secluded location may be a drawback.

This has come to be my favourite hotel in Penang now. Very close to the beach (though not recommended to swim at the beach). Well kept room. Friendly and warm staffs. Will surely be back whenever i return to Penang.

Very good services provided by every staff in the hotel. Break fast is good with many choice and seafood buffet at Friday/Saturday night is good too but bit slow in restock the seafood. The shower room next to the swimming pool has a water heater, which is the best feature. They offer shampoo for hair and body wash gel as well. After checking out, my family can still go there to shower after playing at the pool and beach. It's a great convenience.

Excellent location for food as the famous Kimberly Duck Kwap Chap is just outside round the bend. There is also a shopping mall nearby 5mins walk away. There is also a Michelin award restaurant inside the hotel serving excellent food.. Hotel guest have discount too.

I love the heritage cultural, wooden style, historical vibe and especially the first time I'm seeing a bathtub with jacuzzi. As soon as you enter the main hall, you can feel a positive atmosphere of calm and serenity. The style is well-maintained. Clean rooms. Courteous and attentive staff.
