2.The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. We had no noise issues.

Disappointed:
The check-in process was very slow, with only two counters open, causing a long waiting time which was quite frustrating.
In addition, room cleaning was also very slow, and the room was not ready as expected. Another downside was that no sejadah was provided in the room, which I feel should be a basic facility, especially for a hotel of this standard.
During breakfast, the experience was further affected by slow service, as used plates and bowls were not cleared promptly.
Upon checking in we were shocked with the given room view that facing blocked of walls with left over construction stuff to welcome us!!
After much noises - the duty manager made a recovery to charge us to higher floor better room with a more welcoming city view - thank you for this!!
Our last stay in Hatten Melaka was like more than 5 years ago and this return trip the arrangement was totally a huge disappointment!
Please fix your front desk speed and friendliness!
I think the responses by the hotel's "MarCom" or purported service recovery team appears to be AI generated as the complaints I now read online stretch way back with similar adverse feedback but nothing seems rectified despite platitudes and assurances to do better.
Location is however top notch and if you are not a stickler for hygiene then the Hatten Hotel may be OK for you.
The hotel is aging and some smell from carpet .
Only thing is as we left one of our room card in the room but was taken by the house keeping when they are doing the cleaning. Had to call them and ask them to send us another room card. Breakfast was fine too. Overall recommend.
