Traditional little gem. Clean and eco friendly. Staff are wonderful and so lovely. Helped me with places to see and booked me transport with a warm smile. This was one of the first hotels that actually lived up to profile since I started travelling this year. Location was perfect to wander around on feet.

This place was great, clean and very calm. The service was very good and the staff are very helpful, it is located in Thamel and you will easily find taxis around the corner. The walls are built with traditional bricks, the rooms were clean but there was a bit of dust around the corners. There's no AC nor TV. We didn't care about the TV at all, but the AC might be important depending on the season. They will provide you with a fan though.
Overall, this was a great experience, the price was around 60 US$ per night, and we recommend the place, check it out for at least 1 night if you're not sure.

A quiet haven.
Beautiful hotel located in center city with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Classical architecture and green philosophy makes for a relaxing stay. Food at dinner was a little bit bland but well intended. Breakfast is expensive for the quality and quantity of the offering. No a/c in room, plan your stay accordingly. Wifi in room efficient.

As it is a traditional hotel, they don't have elevator, TV and AC, as well as they don't have hand shower system too. So I felt hot and gave me a table fan and it is okay for me. Very simple breakfast they offer, but foods are good. Services are wonderful.

Such a beautiful hotel with the old-age look. Completely eco-friendly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner was so sweet to welcome our family to the hotel. A must-stay place in Kathmandu who are looking for something different.

An oasis from the bustle of Katmandu. The rooms are lovely, the food was good (I recommend the banana pancakes for breakfast) and the staff helpful. You are right in the center of Katmandu; the shops and restaurants are only meters away but the hotel manages to cut the chaos out as soon as you enter the pretty front garden.

Nice architecture. A very peaceful place in the middle of Thamel. The owner is very nice he has a very nice restaurant besides the hotel. Free yoga classes in the morning. The rooms are very nice.

Authentic Nepalese hotel. Very traditional. Location is right in the heart of Thamel. Close to all the action. Only downfall is no TV. Which for me is pretty much a necessary. Breakfast is average. Staff very friendly.

Great location, extremely kind and caring staff. Overall highly recommendable, but forget luxury: eco-solutions are well made but you need to accustom... Nevertheless, in Kathmandu standards, an excellent choice. I will return!

Kantipur Temple House is located in the tourist district of Thamel, and although it is within walking distance from the hustle and bustle, it is far enough away to escape the noise of the busy city. The courtyard is a delightful place to sit and have breakfast. The restaurant serves delicious local dishes and has a few "western" items on the menu to cater for all tastes. The rooms are lovely with extremely comfy beds (not something that is easy to find in Nepal). The staff are delightful and even pop a hot water bottle in your bed on cold nights.
