This one of the best known hotels in Kathmandu. Service is good and location too. However it needs to renovate the bathrooms and carpets. The surroundings, garden at the back, breakfast restaurant all are great

But the wall to wall carpet had burning marks, the fridge with the minibar was ripped out from the cup board The restaurant is good and they serve good food and the staff is very friendly at the hotel

For a hotel of this price I expected toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc but there was none. Good fun because there are many souvenir stores, restaurants, casinos and money changers around

Service is spotless, place is beautiful. Had an incredible time staying there, especially cause I had buffet breakfast and all you can eat of bacon trays. Thank you Yak and Yeti, I love you.

One of the best hotels in Kathmandu. The service is awesome and the property is huge. Great pool and outdoors and near Bouddha stupa which is a tourist attraction

An excellent place with a beautiful garden and a transparent pool, definitely 5 * service is amazing, in Kathmandu it is difficult to find such hotels where the level of staff will match the European level of high-class waiters and wonderful cuisine

Rooms can do with a bit of renovation but overall the hotel is great

The location is good, just a short walk to the famous iconic stupa through a maze of small street. Bit of a mix up with our room though

Hyatt Regency Kathmandu: Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is a haven of serenity nestled near the majestic Boudhanath Stupa. The moment you arrive, you are enveloped in a sense of calm and tranquility

Surely one of the best places to stay in Kathmandu. We stayed for several weeks- longer than we intended, because it was so good

The rooms are really well appointed, with quality finishes, fixtures, fittings and materials. On top of this, their service is excellent. They are really good communicators in English, Hindi etc

I have been staying at hotel excelsior for 13 years. As a frequent traveller I can say this hotel offers one of the best stays for the most affordable price

The Samaya Rooftop Garden and restaurant is a peaceful and refreshing space from the busy streets. It’s Thamel’s best kept secret. The kitchen is clean and the food is also tasty, FYI, best momos in town

and really know what Nepal has to offer. My wife has a restricted diet, but nothing was a problem for their excellent kitchen/ restaurant

Excelsior is a basic hotel with very basic amenities. But it is located in a very good spot in Thamel. It’s almost at the center point of Thamel from where you can go to top restaurants, bar, club in either direction

The rooms are excellently maintained and the ambience is very good. The staff are very kind and helpful. The swimming pool is one of the best i have had the opportunity to use recently

Overall a nice place to visit with your family and friends

The food in resort is Great they also have there own farm filled with fresh vegetables and flowers. Resort also has infinity pool with excellent pool area

Our experience was disappointing a the spices were lacking to the point of being bland. Good quality food but not in keeping with rural traditional cooking we had been fortunate to share

The staff was attentive and my wife LOVED the yoga sessions provided. Our next trip to Nepal will be booked with this hotel and their accompanying resort. Thank you for a great experience!

We didn't get to stay long enough. We were there in October 2022. The grounds are amazing the staff was impeccable the food was delicious and the room was incredible

Had no idea that it has large space inside and can have diff rooms options. The whole area is surrounded with the trees and garden. If anyone is planning to stay at Lalitpur, should try this hotel

I loved housekeeping team in their traditional outfits. They were very polite and caring. There was a wedding going on when we were there and it was beautifully decorated

The staff was friendly and very helpful in attending to our needs as well as helping us get around the city. If you're considering staying at this hotel - do it!

But also worth fo notice that because the hotel is big the wedding didn't interfere with guests at all

The breakfast was good, the staff friendly and the room was excellent and quiet, such a comfy bed! The shower was amazing, especially after roughing it for a while! If you're after something a little nicer in the Thamel area then this was great

Room are very good as Kathmandu’s standard. Breakfast is ok for the price of the hotel. Located just right in the tourist center of Thamel. Closed to many shops and Chinese restaurant of Sichuan and Shaanxi cousins

Not the hotels fault but definitely made it hard to fall or stay asleep. Breakfat was pretty good,omelette station was the best

In the winter, when the outside temperature is near freezing at night, going to the bathroom can become quite a challenge without actually putting winter clothes on. Other than that, it's a pretty good hotel

We were originally at the front of the hotel on the main road and there is absoloutely no sound proofing so we asked to be moved more towards the back of the hotel which eliminated the road sounds but the nightclub is painful to listen to until midnight

We stayed here with a large group for a week. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The courtyard was a perfect meeting place and the food was really good

This hotel is a super address. The atmohsphere and the staff were really welcoming and friendly, the breakfast very tasty. Also the location directly in the heart of Thamel is excellent. I will be happy to come again :-)

They explained us everything about the hotel and showed us around in such a good manner. Regretfully, we were staying at another hotel and it was the last day of our trip and couldn't stay here

We went here for breakfast and everything was really good. The ambience was really amazing so were the staffs. The ladies in the front desk in cultural attire were so friendly and welcoming

Nicely decorated Tibetan style hotel with friendly staff. The room is still cold even the air conditioner is on and bath water is not hot enough. Not a good choice in the winter.

House maids /other staff wear traditional tibethan dresses, big rooms -everything top nice and clean / original tibethan, extremely good restaurant, very nice out door flower garden (with bar) to have lunch or dine in the evening

Hotel Tibet (notice, there are two others in KATH, my commets refers to the one in Lazimpat / Kathmandu): The best hotel in all of Nepal, FANTASTIC, so nice people, you feel you come 'home'

Wellness 5 meters to the right, nice body massages by Bhutan english-speaking ladies. 50 meters ahead you'll find a nice little street with top souvenirs / top embrodery /shawls, silver, paintings etc

On a very busy night,with a very short notice they baked a beautiful cake for my brother and sister in laws wedding anniversary. All the staff are well mannered

Exceptionally attentive and non-intrusive staff providing professional service. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast always had a huge variety to cover all kinds of palates and it full of value

The hotel is recessed into an alley and that is big plus - it is shielded from hustle and bustle of central Thamel, yet you have access to anything you need

However, a taxi driver assigned to pick up my unsuspecting and exhausted dad from the airport asked money from him for the ride although it was covered in the advance booking

I like how new the hotel was and all of the modern touches. The food here was a huge plus because you can get variety and the quality is very high. Drinking water was plentiful and always stocked in your room

Stayed for a weekend with my big family. The staffs are very friendly and they made us feel so special. Buffet dinner and breakfast are mind blowing with amazing service. We felt we were in Europe or America

They were absolutely delicious! We tried the rooftop restaurant which was also good, again the freshly made naan were simply stunning. I really enjoyed the tandoori chicken , chicken tikka and paneer

The pool and gym are on the small side, but there is a sauna which was good. Location wise, it’s a 10 min taxi to thamel for which we paid around 400-500 rupees which we didn’t barter much

A well looked after heritage property. It is decorated with some amazing expensive art collection and artifects. Property has many restaurants with good food choices

Simple food, simply delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable with AC and the bathrooms had good showers. Fresh bottled water is provided in the rooms daily

I can also highly recommend the massage service, much needed after our long flight. We had breakfast included which was good but slightly limited in options

The hotel driver was also very good, we always felt safe in the car and on arrival he would help find guides or buy tickets to various sites

However the showers with all the fancy panel shower fittings was in need if a good scrub with vinegar and bicarb It must be difficult carrying cleaning materials up and down those stairs

This place is in the heart of Thamel in Kathmandu. The people are very nice and the service is excellent. The room was large with an adjacent living room, though this was not the base level room

Beautiful place but with 5 floors they don't have an elevator. The staff are exceptionally good

Beautiful Boutique Hotel as to the expectation. Rooms were gorgeous and the service was first class. Cannot thank more to have had the opportunity to staying in this property.

The Japanese restaurant on the 1st floor was excellent, as was the bar/restaurant on the 9th floor. Breakfast in the Diplomat restaurant on the 1st floor was OK too, with a reasonable choice of food

The room is big and clean and the location is also good, it's a few minutes away from the shopping district Thamel (10-15 minute walk)

The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They are definitely the Ambassador Hotel's greatest asset

The hotel itself, while only a 3*, is in excellent condition and kept spotless. We stayed in a standard room, which was clean, in good order and more than adequate for a long weekend stay

Coffee was excellent in the inside coffee shop but not so good in the outside one, though the food we had was good
