Crowne Plaza Warsaw is undoubtedly a very good hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable, exactly what you would expect from Crowne Plaza. The service is efficient, and I had the pleasure of being recognised as a Platinum member with an upgrade that made my stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel also offers a strong variety of dining options, with three different places to eat, including a stylish top floor bar. On paper this makes it a very appealing choice for both business and leisure travellers, and for the most part I would recommend it.
However, my experience at the roof bar was disappointing. While the property clearly prides itself on doing things by the book and doing the right thing, I had the impression that proving this point mattered more than genuinely caring about the guest experience. It was not so much a failure of service as it was a lack of flexibility and customer focus, which left a negative impression in an otherwise excellent stay.
For that reason, what could easily have been a five star review is instead a four star one. A very good hotel overall, but I hope that in the future the emphasis shifts from proving the rules are followed towards making every guest feel truly valued.
Two issues: - There are no windows in the room that can be opened
- The bathroom smells after couple of days of stay, probably since there is no efficient ventilation.
The location is great if you are in warsaw for business, it is away from city center 20 min by car.
Stable, free and fast Wi-Fi, a soft though comfortable mattress, instant hot water and effective heating meant that all the basics were done well. Complimentary packet of dark chocolate was a nice, unexpected touch.
Overall a good value proposition.
Breakfast was really good, range of options including fruit, meats, cereals and hot food and an omelette bar too.
Rooftop bar served delicious cocktails and also a gym (which I didn't make 🤣).
Slight walk to old town but tram line is close by to hop on, or even just the walk is nice (about 2.5 miles).
Overall a very immaculate hotel with great facilities and would return for a leisure trip.
