Chai Chet Resort Koh Chang

Absolutely stunning resort, great view of the bay. Staff were very friendly and always helpful! All facilities were great including beautiful swimming pool and dining in the evening was lovely.Torrential rain flooded our room one night but the staff quickly moved us and offered discount etc so we were happy to stay again. 10/10 would come here again to stay !

Very well run resort, ideal for our 5 days on the island. We spent our time between the beach and the lovely swimming pool, both never felt busy at all, plenty of loungers and loads of room. The beach is good for swimming, low tide you'll need to walk out a bit to get deep, but it wasn't a bother. The swimming pool is fantastic, the best we've found in Thailand. Credit to the staff, they are very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great, they lean more towards Asian style breakfast (not a bad thing), the French toast was really nice, shame it was only available on one of the morning. My only suggestion to make the breakfast even better is to have some pastries on offer, apart from that brilliant. The rooms are comfortable and clean, yes they are slightly dated now but it almost gives off a little charm, you don't come to Koh Chang to sit in your room! The location of the resort is great, you have everything you need around you, loads of nice cheap restaurants, and a handy Seven 11. My onlu negative was the hire fee for the kayaks at 300 baht per hour which I thought was high, for this reason we didn't use them. Maybe they could be free to use for guests for 1 hour, anything past that could be charged? All in all a great stay, I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a place where you can relax, chill and enjoy the sunshine, the resort has everything you need!

Nice resort with clean and beautiful bungalows. Beach just a minute or two away. Pool nice but little busy. Breakfast so so.

This has to be the best stretch of beach on Koh Chang. We found the resort to be very relaxing and peaceful. The pool was luxurious with fantastic views across the beach and we loved the view from our beachside villa. At breakfast the staff removed our dirty plates from the table in a timely manner and the breakfast buffet was well stocked. There are plenty of good eating options nearby and the beach is lovely to walk along as it is not affected by tides to the extent white sands beach and kai bae beach are. The only negative were the Russian tourists who reserve the deck chairs with towels or sarongs yet rarely occupy them meaning other guests were unable to use them. This however is not the fault of the resort but perhaps they could put up a sign stating chairs cannot be reserved.

After an early check-out form of another, nearby resort we were lucky to get a villa here on short notice at the busiest time of the year. The villa we stayed at is located on the hill and from what I gather is a very good location, as it's a fairly quiet and beautiful area and the resort itself has everything you need, private beach, pool, good restaurant and beautiful spots for taking pictures. I would suggest adding blackout curtains because of the morning sun and put a lounger on the terrace as it has plenty of space for one for those who want to sunbathe or just relax. Otherwise a very good value stay 👍🏻

Great stay at Chai Chet. The room was simple but clean, with a good bed and a nice shower. The location was fantastic! Right on a little peninsula with the sea on both sides. Very good sleeping with the sound of the waves so close. Staff are friendly and helpful and everything is super clean.

I got a good experience during i stayed here. The staffs have a good service mind.

This is my third time staying at this resort- first time about 10 years ago. Yet, even though the pandemic, Chai Chet has stayed beautiful and well maintained. The location is amazing having both a beach and a private rocky point on the water. The pool and restaurant were both well maintained. The breakfast was satisfactory- wish there was more Thai food, but they are trying to satisfy western tastes (who often don't appreciate good Thai food.) The room was great with soft beds and good water pressure. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next time we return to Kho Chaing. Thank you
