Marina Sands Resort

Poor service from the house keepers who also double up as the laundry service. Our transport to the ferry was at 1100 and we were chasing the laundry from 0900 the same morning. Very stressful and frustrating when it arrived 5 minutes after we needed to leave.
Food at the blue bay restaurant was good yet we only received half the order but it did come out hot, cooked properly and a good sized portions.
Internet is down on the island so was a cash only facility but usually does take card. (ATM’s at Trat airport if you need to get some) also one at the end of the road (fuel station) which is around 1.5km.
Last ferry is at 1820 if I remember correctly so make sure you prepare with the taxi service. We used a chap called Ian who can be found on the Trat airport website who sorted us a taxi from the airport direct to reception & back.
Rooms are of a good size with a good bathroom and aircon with fans in the room to help circulate, we are both mid/ light sleepers but it did not wake us up with noise.
As with other reviews we also had a large single duvet for our double, but I am a warm blooded mammal with the wife being cold blooded she kept most of it and I had a good sleep.
The breakfast was adequate with fresh juices and omelettes made fresh to order too.
There is a shuttle service around the resort but we didn’t use and decided to walk and burn off the cocktails which are also tasty 😋 they also charge the shuttle to your room if you use it.
Overall a good stay for the first island visit during our honeymoon- just the housekeeping was the real downside.

Breakfasts were at The Bleach Club and then they were great. One day the breakfasts were moved to Marina, we didn't get any information. Then they were much worse: no yogurts, no croissants, no Cinnamon rolls, no nutella.Then breakfasts lost some of their meaning.
The rooms and bathroom were cleaned carelessly. Water was added only when we had managed to collect the previous one.

Lovely location and the complex facilities are great just a little walking involved. Been here twice and would defined come back even for maybe a month. There is a shuttle service to take you anywhere in the complex and to a 7-eleven outside if needed.

Lovely rooms and service in quite a vast resort. It’s not manicured to the best standard but is kept clean and has a stunning beach area. Too much plastic for a resort close to the sea however. The site has 3 hotels: Marina Sands, Blue Haven and Peninsula so don’t be confused if you see different signs 😅

+500m to breakfast!! Golf cars will get you there but you have to wait for them to pick u up
Looooong time for hot water to "arrive" to the bathroom.
In my opinion you HAVE to rent motorbike to live in this area.

Great place but you definitely need a motorcycle - for on the premise as well as to get to the closest village.
