Hotel was probably beautiful in its prime however the rooms are dated as well as the mattress...it had to be 10-15 years old. Bathroom showers old as well. Nice views to wake to. Bar drink prices are exceptionally high however the bartender and staff were very fun to talk with.

Very Nice amd calm place for greenie and river view, good for relaxing and also meditation. Spacius room with basic amenities. Great pool by the river. Good local food during lunch time. Great hospitality and service. Also have a good massage with reasonable price as well.
Comfortable, carpeted room, decent enough breakfast, big, old feel, staff changed the price on us by 100 baht after handing over the money, so we asked to take it back and booked online there and then for cheaper.
Nice authentic thai food and fairly priced. This hotel have lots of greens around, a river nearby and nice swimming pool. Staff speaks English.
This is a perfect place to spend your afternoon and evening for an outdoor meals. It serves you a good wine and beautiful scenery of Chiang Rai. Indeed, poolside dinner is always amazing?
Riverside setting, with old growth trees and gardens, which aligned with the large bedrooms, overcomes the somewhat jaded state of this relatively old resort hotel.

I recently stayed with family for four days at Le Meridien in November, and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. The rooms were incredibly spacious, with comfortable beds that provided a perfect night’s sleep, adding to the overall relaxation of our trip. Breakfast each morning was delightful...
Top notch service! The staff truly cares about you! I lost my ring and got the whole staff team searching every inch of the room… only to find out that the ring was in my travel luggage; the staff were very nice about it too, and said that they could understand my panic and were ecstatic that I found my ring. Honestly 100/10 would recommend this hotel!
Friendly staffs with nice smiles and always greets and willing to help in needs. Checking in and out was smooth. Large area along the river with nice view. Well maintained room and furniture. Hot showers and quiet room. Large swimming pool and good size Gym mainly for cardio and some free weights. Good Smith machine too. Good size breakfast and variety of choices to choose. Daily hot soup/noodle changes...
We checked into a very grand suite. Beautiful room. Huge. Appointed beautifully with all the amenities you need and possibly want. Our room had a smell of cigarettes, Top, our attendant, noticed as well. They promised to come and do a "deep clean" to remove any smells. We left the room for a few hours and came back to a perfectly clean room. They removed the curtains and cleaned all absorbable surfaced...
This hotel was very well maintained, the staff was welcoming, the room was very large and the bed was comfortable. I didn't spend too much time at the hotel due to my busy adventurous excursion schedule as a solo traveler. I had a balcony with a very nice view. They provide breakfast buffet style with lots of choices and fresh juices. Only stayed two nights before moving on to Chiang Mia.
Such a stunning hotel, we stayed as a family of 8 and we were so amazed by the place. The staff were so helpful and the whole stay was such a pleasure. 2 months later and we are still talking about it. Hoping to return on the near future!

Largish building, nice lobby, professional staff, restaurant onsite, albeit clinical feel, two outside tables which represent a rare, chance to take a breath in this area, substantial onsite parking, many things to do within easy walking distance ,incl night bazaar, original is station, shopping, many restaurants, with covid the room rates are good value
We stay in this Hotel 2 nights. Good price 600 bath night. Good location. Next time for sure I like to visit this hotel again.
The best thing about this place is that it is very central but the service is poor to apauling and the rooms are old and smelly. For the pricey payed I opted to check out just after one night to go somewhere else. I think that this place needs a bit of staff training and a good clean up. The only think that made this place an ok option is that they have parking and good Wi-Fi so I could some work but...
Not the best commercial hotel in Chiang Rai. Good location but food and room at a basic level. Expensive for what else you can get within the town.
Old design of hotel, the room is small with some old equipment inside not used such as radio. It has only 1 socket for people so you have to bring extension socket if you need. But the TV is new, comes with hot tub and the place is clean. Overall condition is okay.
It's only my first day, but I think that it's fine. The place is clean; there's Wi-Fi, and appliances do work. I wished there was a hairdryer, though; and more electrical points!

A very enjoyable stay in this this traditional hotel, close to the blue temple. Spacious room and lovely grounds. There is a huge pool overlooking the river Kok, with several loungers. Enjoyable breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river. Free bicycles available, which we used to cycle along a lovely river cycle path to a flower festival. Excellent value and highly recommended.
The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was big enough to lounge around in if you didn't want to go out for the day. We had a choice of two types of shower in the cubicle and one in the bath. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and the staff were very polite and helpful. The blue temple is situated just outside the entrance and there are many places to eat and drink nearby. It costs about £3 for a taxi...
The rooms great, large with A/C. They put us in a smaller building unattached which did make it harder to order food but that wasn't a problem. They offer towels and bicycles at the front lobby which is great. Most the staff was extremely helpful and kind. We had the maids come by to clean our rooms and they took a plastic bag with our umbrellas in them. (They must have thought it was a bag full of...
Wow! What a fantastic hotel. We were in town for a work trip, and now I think I’ll come back with family. Huge room. There was live music in the outside patio of the restaurant. The Blue Tiger Temple is a very short walk. Highly recommend this hotel! #travelthailand
The hotel complex is quiet big, the staff friendly. We had a suite with balcony, but it was not like 5 stars. We have got used houseshoes! Asking for new one, we have got other used houseshoes from other room!!! This could be really improved for a five star hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but a little bit old. The bed is very big (2,4m width), but very hard! The windows could/should be cleaned...
I came here for a meeting and the staff were incredible. Proactive. The front desk staff would always greet me with a smile. Very accommodating. 10 out of 10 for the staff. The location is also great. Right on the river, surrounded by green space, trees, chirping birds and you don’t feel the noise of the town. Lots of space to walk around and relax outdoors on the hotel grounds. There’s a nice looking...

nice staff, good location, nice breakfast and pool but shower was very finicky and bed was quite firm
Excellent hotel. Pleasant stuff, lovely room, relatively big/long swimming pool, and very food breakfast - in food offering (self service) and place (sem-open). 👌🙏😉
Lovely hotel in the centre of Chiang Rai. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. Pool area was beautiful, value for money.
Easy walk to Bus terminal 1, night market and the clock tower. Extensive breakfast buffet that was delicious! Great hot water and cold AC. Excellent value and location!
Great location but beds and pillows are not to my liking. Otherwise loved the pool area and good breakfast
Stayed here twice but the second time, the room was not as nice as the previous time. Note that there is no elevator. Reasonable price with buffet breakfast included.

Clean and convenient place to spend nights in Chiang Rai. Located right in the city and very convenient for commute. The hotel is old but they have renovated the areas - in rooms and swimming pools. The service is decent and accordingly to COVID19 policy
Ate at the lunch buffet. Very good selection for 250 baht. Food was fresh and well presented. Recommend!
Very nice and well maintained hotel. Excellent breakfast. I loved that it was really close to the night market and not to bad of a walk to the old city as well. I will also say the hot water and water pressure was some of the best I've had at any hotel.
Great hotel for the budget traveler, without any complaints! There is Wi Fi, a swimming pool, no gym.

I was here 2 night in Superior cottage. Love the nice and clean room. Staff is very lovely and friendly. Definately come back when visit Chiangrai next time. Highly recommended‼
A good hotel that was clearly once fantastic. Rooms and private facilities are clean and maintained and all in a beautiful setting around lakes. Swimming pool had huge potential but was unfortunately dirty with bugs and fauna in and living in it. This was the theme for most communal areas. This may be due to the hotel gradually re opening after covid? Staff all friendly and keen to help. With rooms...
Really beautiful, there is a lot of greenery. The rooms/houses are clean and are quite big. The pool is also very nice and there is a bus from the hotel to the city centre (paid), you will need to make a reservation at the lobby, it will not take you back to the hotel but it still is nice. Absolutely beautiful hotel!
Very pleasent and relaxing place.. Extreamly accomadating and freindly ownwers.. Rooms nead airing to help reduce moist smell if closed up long periods.. Recomendable..
A bit far away the city center. If you love the green area you would like it. It is also very quiet. Good taste of food in the restaurant.
Better than a hotel. This resort and spa offers individual cottages with lots of space. Small items were not working in the room however were fixed within an hour of notifying the front desk. Much nicer than having noisy people in a room next to you. There is a pool, bar and a restaurant. Beautiful ponds, florals and manicured surroundings. Definitely a place I will choose again if in the same area...

Internet in room did not work, only in public places. Room does not lead in from hallway, so we had 2 mosquito in the room with us. There was a gecko in the restroom. LOL

The swimming pool is incredibly spacious yet cold. But, you can survive in it on a hot day. Personally, I go there for sauna which is absolutely amazing. Plus, they have gym. However, you have to pay 150 Bt for the pool and sauna, and the gym isn't included. Whereas if you book a room at the inn, you will get access to all and a free breakfast. Nice!
Nice hotel. Wide pool. Have gym. No toothbrush and tooth paste provided. Yummy food at the cafeteria.
Pro: proper swimming pool, tasty breakfast, courteous staff with very good English, plenty of parking spaces. A tiny market that sells fruits and fresh food in the evenings is just round the corner. The locals selling their produce there are genuinely sweet, and the prices are rock bottom. Give it a try. Con: do not book the standard rooms. They are just a tad south of what a foreigner would consider...
Rooms ok, but not great. That said good value. Biggest issue for me was that they have sand ashtrays outside the rooms and they appear to be frequently used. Its a place really made for large Chinese tours I would say
Basic but nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Easy parking. I especially liked the gym and swimming pool.
The hotel is OK, but the Chinese people completely ruined my holiday. Started yelling and screaming waking everyone up since the sun hasn't raised. Might be way better to separate these people from other guests like many other hotels do.

I stayed at 6 hotels in Thailand, and this was by far my favorite. I'd love to come back and just spend a week at the A-Star - it was truly magical. The food was good, the room was amazing, and everywhere you look there is beauty. They even grow some of the food they serve there. I'll be back some day!
Beautiful place, we loved our private pool as well as the large main pool next to the bar. They had a hilarious bartender working who made excellent drinks!
The atmosphere is lovely. People are very kind. The swimming pool water is salty and I had a reaction to it.

Best hotel I have ever visited in Thailand. Staff is very well trained and attentive. The hotel rooms are clean and beautiful. The view of the mountains is wonderful. Fast WiFi connection. Very good food and wide choice. Thai and international cuisine. Good breakfast. Your own car is recommended, as the hotel is a bit out of town.

This hotel is past its best. Restaurant shut. Difficult to find somewhere near to eat but room and view ok
This place is well located and well priced. The views are great and the pool is excellent. But to me it lacks character as I seek a Thai experience. Nonetheless I would stay again. Not too many Restaurants close by but there are some with a strong local flavour. No English menus!!
I stayed in this hotel before and after the pandemic and it is always a bliss to come back. Besides an outstanding view of the mekong river, this hotel exudes peace from every corer. The pool will take you on a wonderful journey into a past life where you were a petit bourgeois, walking on the cobblestones of Paris. No, the pool is really beautiful with a view of the Thai nature. The possibility of renting a small room with 50 bathrooms more. One of them is a small inflatable plane with a water gun, which is great for blowing up your friends for the day.
Facilities are a bit run down. The room was very old and dated - but we did go with the cheapest option. staff advised that renovations are about to begin. The pool was fantastic though. It was 15 Km out of Chiang Rai. So unless you have your own transport it could be challenging.
Nice quiet and surrounded with trees and mountain.. This resort is quite plain but the price is right.. You have a comfortable room with air-conditioning, free wifi and TV and attached bathroom.. It is what you pay for..
The facilities and rooms are a little run down but fairly clean. The staff is friendly and the views are fantastic

Exceptional value for money although i suspect prices are down because of lack of tourism. Rooms are large and modern. Pool not overly big but more than adequate. I had my own car and found that location was great... if you don't have access to a vehicle you will be using taxi's.
Great place for the price . The grounds are beautiful but it's very quiet there. It's not very close to anything so you better have a car
Beautifully well landscaped, great pool, comfortable beds, big rooms and great service. It's also located in a easily accessible area of Chiang Rai
Spent a week here very friendly & helpful staff. 15 minute walk from bus station & night market. I managed to get one of the redecorated rooms which was right next to the pool.
Good location, nice breakfast with a wide variety of food. The room and the toilet are clean and spacious. The bed however is hard so affecting the quality of sleep

A fantastic hotel. Clean, beautiful rooms and a very good staff always smiling. The breakfast is good as well. There is even a swimming pool for relaxing after a long day of visits.
The hotel is of medium size in traditional Thai style, very nice and suiting the region. The big plus about it is its location, in walkable distance to downtown. Breakfast was so-so, but there are plenty of coffee shops nearby. Good clean rooms and very friendly staff. Easy to book a car through reliable rental services associated with the hotel.
Good hotel. Warm and helpful people. A host of complementary services. Centrally located. Only miss food after 9.30pm
Beautiful! Staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and user friendly. Enough space for everyone. The pool area is perfect! Lobby is clean and they offer free pastries to the guests. Breakfast is wonderful. Lots to chose from. Highly recommended this hotel.
Very friendly staff and a nice room. Lots of "free" things included with the price of your room like snacks, drinks, shuttle and a gift at departure. The location isn't bad, but does take 15-20 minutes to walk to the center

Came here as part of a group tour, checking in and luggage was smooth. Rooms are quite outdated but perhaps that is the colonial style they're going for.
