The Bay Samui

I stayed here for 10 days and it was awesome. It was low season so very quiet. The place I had was spacious and clean, decent bed. The staff is friendly and quick to reply on WhatsApp.

I wish I could stay longer.

I was so thankful I found this place during rainy season. I rented hut 108 and it was the best solution. Simple but very comfortable room with AC, a private bathroom and a fridge in front of the beach. They have a Bar serving a good coffee but very mediocre food unfortunately; best is to rent a car and go out to eat. The internet was decent as well, strong enough to make a video call.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and friendly atmosphere with fantastic service and phenomenal views then the Bay samui resort is for you! All the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure guests are happy and comfortable. We had a sea view pool villa and it was perfect. The location is great with a short bike ride or taxi to local restaurants and close to town. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you for our stay we love the bay samui

Great older resort. Lovely beach location. Fantastic staff... came to our rescue..they really went above and beyond when my rental scooter got a flat tyre when the rental company wouldn't help. Great beach bar.. so good people from resorts came over.. Will stay here again...

This older style budget resort is not far from Samui Airport. The driver who picked us up told us how the place had just survived the pandemic and is slowly recovering. There are over 60 chalets some with private Jacuzzi style pools. Our room was tired looking and requires a lick of paint to freshen up. The bath room had broken tiles and required some deep cleaning. Hot water worked ok. Set in a small quiet bay with white sands.

I had the beachfront pool villa for a week. very good value for the money. AC is working, the bed is large enough for 2 people to sleep without bothering each other. The cleaning staff is doing a great job. The villa pools are being cleaned on daily basis. If you are looking for a beach that is not too busy and loud, this is the place.

Something you need to consider however is that the hotel is far from everything else on the island. meaning you will not get anywhere in reasonable time via walk and the bar and restaurant closes early around 6pm. The recommendation here would be to either have a motorbike rented, or use the transfer services of the lady in the small shop opposite the reception to go to 7eleven to not end up hungry in the night far from everything. I could not find a food delivery service that would deliver to the hotel, so have some supplies.

While the bar and the restaurant is open, the prices are very reasonable. Multiple breakfast options and a la carte orders later in the day will likely cover anything you want.

If you are going here with the taxi, make sure you spell it properly for the driver as they confuse it sometimes with the bay condominium, which is a different place, but in the correct direction. You can expect taxi prices from Chaweng beach to the hotel to be around 400-500 baht.

If you are in the area and hesitating, you can always go to visit the beach, bar and get the vibe of the place.

Something hotel to improve is getting higher power of water pump which our room get low water pressure for shower.
