Kimpton Kitalay Samui, an IHG Hotel

This would be 5 stars if the staff were willing to approach parents with rowdy children. There was no shortage of bad children screaming/ yelling during breakfast. This is not how one wants to start the day . I came to this hotel to consider it for a wedding but seeing the sheer number of entitled kids has put me off.

The resort is both reasonable distance to the airport and walkable to some stores.

There was a mosquito in my room and the staff provided a diffuser and a spray. The breakfast had good choices. The staff were attentive and thoughtful. The fish house restaurant was great as well. The beach here smelled clean . They have one of the best hotel gyms I have ever seen!

Despite being a big hotel, with the checkout process, they still manually check you didn't eat the food from the mini bar. So you should allocate at 5 minutes.

The cooking class was amazing! Chef Jojo has been so nice and professional. The staff of the hotel were kind and made us feel like we were the most important guests in the hotel. Very recommended!!

Spoil yourself with this beautiful resort. Can't fault anything. This resort packed with activities for both kids and adults. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Free kids club is one of the highlights of our holiday. It gave us some kids free time to enjoy ourselves while kids having fun at kids club. The spa is the best i have tried in lots of places. Will definitely come back one day.

We were impressed by the exceptional dining experience at the beachfront restaurant, special thanks to Chef Banana for accommodating our gluten-free needs and sharing recipes. The entire hotel staff demonstrated remarkable awareness and assistance with allergies. Really great facility, we had a swim up room which was beautiful and convenient. I had just done surgery in Bangkok before I flew down and every time I went down to eat the different staff members were aware of my dietary restrictions without me saying anything.
Special shout out to Naomi who gave us probably the best, most charming check-in process we have gotten this year out of a dozen luxury properties or so.

One of the best hotels we have been to!

We stayed for a whole week and experienced nothing to complain about. Hotel area is amazing, pool and beach both great and also the breakfast was a 12 out of 10! Extreme friendly personal and all our wishes where fulfilled in a professional manner.

Can recommend this hotel to everybody who wants to enjoy a great time!

I wouldn't normally post a review before the end of our stay but we have had such an incredible experience I felt the need to post now. First off please disregard any of the negative reviews, those people either have not traveled enough or are just miserable people that will never be happy. My wife and I have traveled the world and have stayed in some of the finest hotels. We can both say without hesitation that this resort exceeds all expectations. The staff from the moment you arrive are fantastic, I have never, ever seen such an attentive and pleasant staff in all of our travels, always have a smile on their faces and always happy to help you. The attention to detail in this resort is second to none, from the welcome drinks to the little touches in your room everyday they have thought of everything. The breakfast buffet is by far the best we have ever had and the quality of food is all wonderful. The service at the pool has been great and there is always lots to keep you busy or if you want to just chill by the pool there are lots of chairs and day beds and they don't charge an additional fee for the daybed which is always nice. We went for the swim up room and it is huge and the decor is extremely well thought out, whoever worked on the interior design here and overall design is brilliant. I know this review sounds like a paid advertisement but I can assure you it is not. I wanted to take the time and let the resort know that they are doing a fantastic job and that if you are considering this resort then just book it, you will not be disappointed. If I had any comments for people to consider, there do seem to be many families with children but so far it has not been an issue, there are many areas around the resort if you are looking for quiet. I would also say the food prices seems very fair and the quality of food is great but I would say be prepared to pay quite a bit for drinks.
I think that covers everything, if you want to spend time in paradise and feel like royalty then this is the place for you.
