Overall pretty ok. Place has a house restaurant with wide range of foods both Thai and ‘western’ (although it’s not overly cheap). Good swimming pool + gym. Close to the beach however not a very nice beach for swimming!! 11 minute walk from the 7eleven but bike rental places very close.

I enjoyed my stay here! Didn't get a chance to test drive the gym as I come to KP for the luxury gyms, but if you're looking to get a barebones workout in, this is a good place to stay. Definitely only stay here if you have a scooter as it's not close to much.

I've been for 2 weeks in the dorm and it was amazing! The location, the people, a swimming pool. Highly recommended. It is just a 4 min walk to the beach. It is nice for the sunset. The staff is so nice they can answer any question about theg island. One of the best places I've stayed at in SEA.

I spent a good 4 days at the shiralea backpackers resort and me and my group agreed that if we didn't have a tight schedule, we would have extended 100%.
Jaden and Seb both absolutely amazing hospitality along with the banter to keep us intrested, they helped set the scene for the group and for my self as well.
The resort is a perfect lifestyle, if you want to go out and party and have a blast or even if you want a healthy laid back relaxed "find yourself" kind of vibe all bang into one resort and one setting.
Definitely be back!!

Pros: excellent location. Cons: when checking out early (at 7am) there was no one at the reception, all attempts to call or get through to them were unsuccessful, had to leave without leaving a deposit. In the end, no one called back to a bunch of missed calls

I liked it but I expected more... there are many things that are broken or neglected, it is a pretty cool accommodation but it could be much better... now, the price paid is good, they are wooden cabins and shared rooms among vegetation, there is a pool and gym, also a bar-restaurant, I ate there once and I didn't like it very much to be honest so I didn't go back... tea all day long...

Originally had booked here for 2 nights but ended up extending for another two nights. The bungalow we stayed in was pretty basic (no ac, only fan, few critters about) but given the price I think it was fair.
Floor of the bungalow were super oily/dirty. Definitely need a clean. Clothes left on floor got oily.
The other part of the resort were great. The bar had a good vibe (Olly the owner was super friendly) and I managed a workout in the gym which I thought was well equipped. The pool was great and was 3m deep so you could practise diving.
About a 1 minute walk to the beach.
The bar has loud music that goes into the night so not ideal if you are an early sleeper. But if you enjoy hanging out/partying at night then it wouldn’t be an issue.
There are loads of mosquitoes but you are almost in the forest so you should kind of expect that.

Super fun hostel, good location and a fair price. Nice pool and super close to the beach. the staff is amazing and kind, a great hermano called Oliver, spreads love and kindness among the guests and never interrupts the party. The girl with the red hair is ok and nice as well

Nicest little resort which exceeded my expactions a lot! I felt welcome from the moment I stepped into the bar/reception and throughout my entire stay. Having the sweetest personal all the way round.

An absolutely lush resort. Wicked pool and cheap drinks. Really great food too right in your doorstep . Comfy dorms with privacy curtains and a locker in the bed section. Loads going on and a good mix of people. The owners are lovely and hospitable if you can forgive the northern England music at times ;) . I would have loved to have stayed longer but needed to be on the other side of the island for a couple of events and didn't have a scooter. Look forward to coming back one day. Haad yao beach is a moment away as well.
