Great place all around, stayed almost 2 weeks. The beach bungalows are the best VFM you can get. The beach is great as well. The only downside is the restaurant - pricey in comparison with others on the beach and quality is Mediocare at best, but there are plenty of alternatives.

This is a very relaxing place to stay, and has a restaurant with a beautiful jungle and ocean view. All the food is incredible (and at great prices!), and the people who work there are very nice - just ask for anything you need or want to eat and they will make it happen!

We stayed 6 night in the peaceful lushy garden of Sun moon star resort. The rooms and the environment of beautiful, it is a short 5 minutes walk from the beach where it is possible to have nice snorkeling. It is a thai family run place. Orn and her family were very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay there!

5 minute walk from the beach, the property was fantastic with brand new rooms/cabins that were clean and very modern. The included breakfast was delicious as were appetizers we had one of the evenings.

My favorite resort comes back here every year. The rooms are most comfortable and very nicely decorated. The bed is super comfortable and the bedding is really luxurious. The staff is courteous and helpful. The pool is huge and fun. And the clean beach is long and pleasant.

The resort is relatively big with about 200 rooms. Some wings (non-beach view) are still pretty much under construction. There is no breakfast included and the restaurant does not live up to Thai standards. However the rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious at a moderate price, so the deal is quite fair. Wonderful location, we were given a free upgrade from a superior cottage to a beach cottage. Very special to have a view from our window right onto the beach. We love it at Loyfa and have extended our stay here. Its quite and private with an access to 2 pools and private beach. We are staying here with our small dog who absolutely loves the nature here and its super safe.

I was there for 5 nights. The rooms are nice and well equipped. The breakfast was great too. The staff is always very well disposed and courteous. The only drawback: I can't recommend the restaurant. I had two meals there and unfortunately I did not like it twice.

We booked a seaview bungalow for 5 nights, and wow what a seaview it was from Bungalow 2 which is raised slightly and right on the beachfront. Lovely balcony with chairs and a table or you can just lie in bed and look at the sea or watch the amazing sunsets. Just note there are a lot of steps down to this bungalow so not suitable for young children, pushchairs or those who are unsteady on their feet...

An island of Italy on the luxurious shore of Haad Yao. Breakfast with perfect mozzarella and a fantastic lunch: pasta with gorgonzola and carbonara, real Italy on Phangan. Clean beach, hotel on the first line, great atmosphere of relaxation and vibe of rest and friendliness. The only minus is very hard mattresses.

We vacationed as a family of 4. We took it because there were no places at the High View Hotel. The hotel is strange... By default, the room is not cleaned; you need to ask for it at the reception every time. The manager is a very friendly and positive elderly woman, apparently she had a good time at hippie festivals in her youth... When booking, I ordered a "beach view" bungalow, it cost $100 more...

Ok place, but a little too family-oriented for my liking. I think it is a little overpriced for the quality of the accommodation, which has seen better days. The kettle was falling to bits, the shower has no pressure, the lighting in the bathroom is very poor. You wake up on the beach though and the snorkeling is ok(ish).

Very old hotel, definitely needs to be renovated! The water pressure in the shower was very weak, which made it difficult to wash. Breakfast starts at 08:00am which made impossible to visit it if you use morning ferry at 05:30 or 08:00.
