Reviews
The place, the food, the people 🩵🙏🏻
I had a private room which was lovely and comfortable. Made good use of the steam room and cold plunge most days.
All the staff there are so lovely and helpful, they make you feel like family.
It’s definitely somewhere I will be returning to when back in Thailand.
The teachers of yoga are all fantastic and the special classes they offer in the evenings are incredible and unique experiences.
The vegan food is some of the best I’ve ever had! fresh, diverse and prepared with so much love.
The classes are inspiring, professional, and truly transformative, creating a perfect balance with the peaceful atmosphere of the center.
I also met fascinating people from all around the world, which made the stay even more special.
This was without a doubt one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had!
I highly recommend Wonderland to anyone visiting Koh Phangan. An unforgettable experience!
- Amazing selection of classes and teachers, with private 1-1 sessions and massages available..
- World class vegan food- Incredible
- Lovely, cared for facilities and site.
- Incredibly efficient and lovely Thai staff team who are lovely and any problems fixed in 5 minutes flat (shout out to all, especially Kenny 👏)
- Very comfortable AC rooms (privates & dorms), cleaned and managed beautifully by the super-efficient housekeeping team (fridge & water, bed service & fresh towels daily)
- Beautiful pool 🥽
Simply divine- a must stay! ♥️
The yoga classes were super varied – I tried everything from gentle Yin in the morning to more intense Vinyasa in the afternoon. The teachers really knew their stuff, and the schedule is packed so you can pick what suits you.
One of the best parts? The food. 100% vegan, fresh, and sooo tasty. I’m not even vegan and I loved every meal. The buffet is next level – colorful, healthy, and super filling.
Rooms were comfy, clean, and surrounded by nature – I woke up to birds every morning, which was magic. Oh, and the herbal steam sauna? Total bliss.
It’s also a great place to meet like-minded people without feeling like you have to socialize if you don’t want to. Super easygoing.
If you’re heading to Koh Phangan and want to recharge, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back.
The room we got was with a bad over used sink mattress, the water pressure was absurd (like a cheap bungalow one) and the water in the toilet didnt come down every time… living either your GF like this isnt so comfortable. So i got mad about the price i pay compared to what i get.
Overall
common area - clean and nice.
Great food (missing on protein options sometimes)
They just have to renew some rooms .. i guess not all their rooms are like that.
Relaxing and life changing.
Many interesting lessons, yoga meditations sound healing and great lecutees and people from all over the world.
This is a true gem - you will thank me later.
I was a bit worried about the food initially as I’m not vegan but I needn’t have worried, although the meal times were a little difficult, the food was really good.
I enjoyed the wide variety of classes and found the teachers to be good, professional and bringing a good and inclusive atmosphere. Especially the KoDance workshop and Rebirthing which were held in a really caring way that made it possible to go really deep into the practice and push past some barriers that I had.
My week long package included 2 massages, I had both with Jun who was EXCELLENT. Really first class and without a doubt the best massages I’ve had. She is extremely talented at what she does and very strong, really helped my back.
So, why only 4 stars? For me, this is not a retreat. I was expecting somewhere peaceful to go and focus on my practice, make some progress and connect with other like minded people. Wonderland is more like a luxury hotel/ spa with classes than any retreat I’ve previously been on. The majority of guests are young Israeli and the atmosphere is a bit cliquey, with people on their phones constantly and not respecting quiet at times you would expect on a retreat. On 3 nights I was kept awake until around midnight by people being inconsiderate in the communal areas close to my room. This made it difficult to get up for some of the early morning sessions and to get the rest I had hoped for. Not really something I’ve ever experienced at a yoga retreat or would have expected. I think something could be done to manage this a bit better. It felt like a lot of people just wanted to hang out and use the space like a hotel, which is fine but not really what I had expected.
It was also a bit frustrating that the breakfast and coffee didn’t start in the morning until 9am. Particularly with classes starting at 7 it would have been nice to be able to get at least a cup of coffee earlier.
Overall, would I recommend it? Yes, but manage your expectations. This is a lovely place to go and relax, with some really enjoyable beginner level classes, a wide variety and enough to keep you busy for easily a week. The centre is beautiful and surrounded by nature. But if you’re looking for a place to focus on your practice, or expecting peace, this is probably not it
