The hotel has a great environment, with green trees, blooming flowers, fresh air, warm service and a rich breakfast. I hope to come again in the future.

This a really spacious, quiet, well- maintained property ouside of Chiang Mai, surrounded by a beautiful golf course. Away from the main roads and traffic, with clean air to breath. The room was clean and well- furnished, with a quiet balcony area. The pool area was quiet, clean, and relaxing. The breakfast and restaurant had good food and service, and the staff are friendly and attentive.
I was looking for a relaxing, quiet location away from the car exhaust fumes, noise and chaotic energy of the city, and this was a great choice! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

They charged me 4000 baht for 18 not including clubs and other fees. High don’t recommend

Place is so peaceful, which fits my introverted personality. Staff are warm and nice. The breakfast buffet tastes good. The room is clean and cozy with complete essentials. It was such a great stay given that it's my first time in Chiang Mai. I am so thankful that we were able to have the same room for this additional 1 day booking. Staff are accommodating, and despite I can't speak Thai, they communicate well and attend to our needs. We also got our souvenir Titleist cap with Maejo embroidery, which we're happy about!

- Outside the fairways, there is lots of sand, long grass, sticks. Just a few metres off the fairway can be a very challenging lie
- Greens are a bit inconsistent, some faster than others
- Some tee boxes not flat, and in bad condition
- Most of the holes are very narrow
- Most of the pin positions were right on the edge of the green
+ Some unique holes with nice views
+ Not too busy
Overall, the condition of the course is worth about 1100 baht, not 1650 baht

I hired a buggy and they wanted me to sign an indemnity form that if ANY damage to the buggy I had to pay for ANY damage. I said I’m not signing it under any circumstances, then many bosses appeared and said I can drive buggy, I said no as that’s what I’m paying the caddy for. One of the bosses said you are not a Thai local and then I showed her my Thai drivers license and said I live in Thailand. I’m not sure why she asked that? As they don’t like confrontation nothing was said, I decided to walk, therefore be aware that if you hire a buggy, you have to pay for all damage driving or not driving the buggy. Not a good way to run a golf course. I’ve played other courses in Chiang Mai and Thailand and have never been asked to sign for damage to the buggy. Great course but will never return.

Mae Jo Resort
Terrific resort hotel. Basically had the entire place to ourselves. The pool was beyond amazing, and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. Entire staff were so kind and available. The best think was the tranquility of the area. You are far away from the chaos of downtown Chiang Mai.

The course was in great condition and I had excellent caddies each time I went. The driving range was off real grass instead of artificial turf, which was great. The caddies had a good sense of the greens and helped me with line and weight. The birdie I got was thanks to the caddie's read on the green. Also, the caddies shared their snacks with us one time we went out.

The golf course was not really in that good of a condition. More specifically, the practice greens and tee boxes which were pretty overgrown. I also found that most of the kiosks lacked a number of snacks to buy in between (only having boiled eggs and instant noodles). The fairways and greens on the course was alright but there were a lot of footprints in the bunkers. The caddies however were exceptional at their jobs since they were able to accurately gauge the distances for us and read the putts really well.
