Dalyan Basar Hotel

It’s ok ! The rooms are very nice , the pool is very nice , but unfortunately the area around the pool is untidy , 3 dead totally brown conifers dropping pines around the sunbeds which get under your feet and transferred to the pool or your room . It’s a 15 minute job to cut them down , it wouldn’t be so bad if they hosed the area down each night but in the 2 weeks we stayed it wasn’t done once , and I know because our room was right by the pool . Also a graveyard for popped inflatables behind them . It’s a nice place but simple things such as these would make it much better . We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food ,the staff are nice but speak very little English as predominantly German guests . lots of sunloungers but not enough umbrellas, which caused some tension amongst some guests. 3 star is exactly what it is

Had a fantastic 3 weeks break at this hotel. It was our 30th wedding anniversary break and the hotel staff left us a celebration cake in our room, a nice little touch. Friendly staff, egg/pancake man (can't remember his name) very helpful, Oktay, Melissa and Basar the hotel manager stood out. Room's are comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a great location, around 5 mins to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices. Snacks are available and a good choice. All in all a nice hotel to stay.

Check-in -
We had a night flight, so check-in wasn't until 4am UK / 6am Turkish time, and someone was awake to take us up to our room.

Checking out -
was also the same, and they even made us both a little breakfast to takeaway with us to the airport!

Service -
The staff are polite, friendly and you really get the feeling of a family run hotel. They are attentive and will help you with all of your needs. The hotel manager is personable and fun to be around.

The rooms -
The view from our room is outstanding, watching the rolling hills from the balcony was a highlight. Honestly you don't even need to leave the hotel. We stayed here for 6 nights and for two or three of them we didn't even leave the hotel.

Food -
The food from the chef at hotel basar is wonderful. Every morning is a breakfast buffet and he will cook you eggs your way if you want it. I had an omelette a couple of mornings which was great to set you up for the day. At night the dinner is similar, with the addition of amazing home-cooked meals such as lentil soup, chicken fajitas, allsorts plus the usual whole table of amazing salads.

Location -
Located a 5-10 minute walk from Dalyan Town centre where all of the action can be seen happening at night. This is really convenient because this is where all of the restaurants, taxis, hire places, and the local boats on the river which take you to the beach, where there is a Turtle sanctuary, a bar, toilets and basic food etc. The place is teeming with amazing wildlife too. Not to mention the abundance of cats (one of which loved to come and chill on our balcony with us) but also bats, turtles, stray dogs (which seem to be living their best life) and if you venture out away from people on the beach you can see crabs

Pool -
There's two pools, one is located in the main building which houses reception, this is the lively place where guests mingle and get to know each other. The other is located on the other building across the road. It is quiet and serene here.

In July we stayed with the family for 12 days at Basar Hotel. It is a small and very charming hotel, within walking distance of the bustling centre of Dalyan. The owner, Basar, does everything possible to make the guests feel at home. He is happy to help arrange day trips (advice, transport, ...) or to solve minor inconveniences (if any).
The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. There are enough towels, both for the pool and in the bathroom. The beds felt good.
The breakfast is tasty and sufficiently extensive. For a fee there is also fresh orange juice, delicious! The evening meal consists of fresh and tasty soup, a tasty main course and can be supplemented with a large selection of vegetables and local specialities. Sufficient choice for both children and adults. The desserts are also tasty.
The swimming pool (depth: 1,8m - 1,4m) is large enough and has a lovely temperature, there are enough sunbeds. Sometimes you have to move a bed to get a spot in the shade. There is a separate small pool for little children. There are children, but not a nuisance. There is a quiet atmosphere. There is also a pool bar, where they serve all kinds of tasty drinks. The lunches were also tasty. We used it several times.
There is free WIFI available in most places.
Most employees speak limited English but this was not a problem. They also do everything to make you feel comfortable.
We enjoyed a pleasant holiday and will definitely come back!

Visited for a week in Dalyan. Brilliant Family run hotel! I arrived very late, and they prepared me a meal! The rooms are very clean and the attentive service is absolutely exemplary and hard working. The food, breakfast and dinner was amazing.
I had a busy schedule of full activities, so did not stay in the hotel during the day, but can't really fault anything. They even surprised me with the birthday cake! Thanks to Mr Basar and all the staff.

A lovely family - run hotel with great staff, excellent food, really clean, a fine clean pool, strong wifi, and total attention to detail. You are made to feel welcome and they mean it. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. Thank you for everything.

We've just arrived back from a 2 week stay at Basar Otel. It was wonderful - we highly recommend it!
Our deluxe room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. It was family friendly and the staff team were superb and always approachable. Even though we ate out a few times, the food (buffet style) at Basar's was just as good, if not better, than some restaurants.
The hotel also served as a perfect base for us to visit other areas - Ekincik bay for 2 night and Basar personally recommended day trips for us.
Our first family holiday since the pandemic and we had a great time.

Basar and all of the staff provide an excellent service, with lots of smiles and desire to do their absolute best for each + every customer. Hotel is lovely, clean, friendly and fab on all levels. It's my fav hotel. Thank you 😁

Had to find hotel quick as the one we were in was less than a travelodge type we found basar and to be over the moon with this gem of a hotel was an understatement it is by far best hotel for comfort cleanliness service food it all is 5* we have stayed in some of the best 5* hotels all over the world but this comes up as equally the best looking forward to staying there again

I suppose, my best hotel experience ever. Owner is working with great personal side by side. They gave us a lot of smiles and even some unforgetable moments, like my second birthday ;).

Clean, modern rooms with correct engineered electric pass-through switches! Warm lights. Largest showers room I've ever seen with tropical shower and small window in it. (Photo attached)
Quite big and deep (130-180sm) pool. Will be a great find, who likes to sweam. Kids have their own safe pool.
Helpfull recommendations and organization for trips and restaraunts.
And again people matters. And this hotel gains the most of it. I wish I will visit this place again.
