before i start this review. this is not bashing or defamatory this is a genuine opinion which should be accounted for to improve the expierence for future guests (especially those from the british holiday market) i hope that the hotel takes these criticisms onboard and applies them accordingly. to start off the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. the grounds are beautiful and it is extremely well kept and clean. the food is extremely delicious and there was a wide variety so you weren’t limited. there was always a place open for you to eat, if you wanted a beach snack, head down there for some pizza and fries. want a chicken doner wrap and fresh gozleme? head down to the amphitheatre. waffles on tap too. unlimited ice cream from the fridge too!! their option for fresh ice cream on a cone is a really nice touch at dinner time. they have efes on tap which doesn’t go flat after 30 seconds and is always fresh and cold!! let’s go on to some, i wouldn’t even say negatives, just needs some tightening! the first and probably the most gutting is the lack of turkish night on a thursday. this is a celebration that hotels do every thursday and so far all the hotels i’ve been to have had this but it’s a first that i haven’t experienced one here. i think having this can really showcase the incredible turkish cuisine and their history. following on from this is the sheer lack of entertainment. we stayed for 10 nights and the total amount entertainment was 3. the animation team however was great throughout the day having activities for everyone. the next is the disorganisation at breakfast time. we are early risers wanting to get the day started we would come down at 7am which is when breakfast starts. but they were ALWAYS far from ready. their cheese toastie machine was almost never on having to turn it on myself. on one day they wouldn’t have the bread for it to make the toastie with the next day the grill wasn’t even out for the toastie to even be made with. their sunny side up eggs were always freezing because things weren’t ready. if you’re not able to honour the time for a 7am breakfast, push it back half an hour to allow yourselves time to prepare for the breakfast rush. also if you’re fan of omelettes don’t come to breakfast early because you’ll be met with empty pans. those who are wanting to be up early to seize the day are met with a lack of service just because we’re not there at 9am. the final thing is the lack of staff on the bars and it’s actually ridiculous. for a hotel of this capacity having one person man the main pool bar is disgusting and extremely unfair to the individual working it because they are so overworked that they look miserable. it is obvious with anyone with eyes that you are not understaffed in the slightest so it is unacceptable that you think it is sufficient and most importantly ethical for someone to look after a bar in this heat for such a prolonged period of time. the barmen are lovely and they must be treated better

Overall, a really nice hotel and a lovely family break. I always try to provide a balanced review, so here goes .... The good stuff: The hotel area is wonderful, right by the beach, we loved the water park, and the views over the sea are lovely.  There are plenty of bars to choose from each with a different vibe, late afternoon we sat by the entertainment bar looking out over the sea, before dinner we were in the garden outside the lobby bar which was so chilled. The staff were also really friendly. I read reviews about some staff being rude, but I really didn't see that at all; some staff are more chatty and friendly than others, but you get that everywhere. The bar staff, the entertainment team, and the lifeguards were all really friendly. Polat (my son's gym buddy and "brother") and Elif were both lovely and as a family we got on really well with them, Mustapha at the entertainment bar is a one-off, a true character and always smiling, and Erdoğan at La Scala went above and beyond. Areas for improvement: The variety of food. Yes there's a lot to choose from in the main restaurant, but there doesn't seem to be much change from lunch to dinner, or from one day to the next; after three days we were getting a bit bored. There seemed to be plenty of casserole-type dishes, but not much griddled meat (other than chicken) or fish that we've seen at other AI hotels or that you'd expect of a Turkish hotel. Management could also do a better job of managing the number of bar staff and stock levels. At the entertainment area, in the evening, the bar often had two people serving, and occasionally three, which was nowhere near enough for the number of people wanting to be served. There's probably around 100 tables, so about 300-400 people there at night. The bar staff are brilliant and do their best, there's just not enough of them.  One evening we were told the bar had run out of white wine, another evening at the 24-hour bar we were told they had run out of white rum (it was around 11.30) and the options at Starbucks were always limited due to running out of caramel, and despite asking every day the lime cooler was always "finished". This was in early July, so not quite peak season or end of season when stocks are being run down. Other things to note: 1) The rooms are small. I read this on other reviews and thought, "Well, not a problem, we probably won't spend much time in the room." However, as others have said, storage is severely limited. Our two rooms (one double, one twin) had a single wardrobe, a very narrow cupboard, and a couple of draws, not enough for four adults. There was also nowhere to store suitcases, so they ended up by the door, making getting in and out difficult, especially as the only mirror not in the bathroom was by the door too. In my view the rooms are really poorly designed, they look nice but aren't particularly practical. 2) If you're planning to go to Altinkum ask reception to order a yellow taxi. The first time we

Excellent in every meaning. Hard working staff and the result is visible. Only one thing I didn't liked - too many sunbeds around the pool.

Elif is an excellent yoga and Pilates instructor in the hotel Duja Didim. The classes were well-structured, relaxing, and suitable for me.She created a peaceful atmosphere and gave clear instructions. I really enjoyed every session and felt great afterward. Highly recommended! I wish you endless joy, inspiration, and amazing people by your side throughout your professional path. You truly deserve it. Thank you so much, Elif.❤️ Anelia from Bulgaria 😊

Just got back from a weeks stay here, had an amazing time with family ranging from 16 year old to 86! The hotel is stunning, the staff are great and the quality of the food is lovely. My husband wasn't happy there wasn't a full English style breakfast but it is Altinkum not Benidorm! The hotels beach was my favourite spot to spend the days and we made use of the water sports there. Can not fault this hotel, we are already taking about returning next year.

The food was repetitive and boring. There room was clean. Some of the staff were friendly, but a few were rude. Polat (from the entertainment team) was friendly and funny, made us laugh.

I loved the experience at the Duja Didim Hotel. Wrapping up the organisation of the space is the abundance of; bars, restaurants, additional places to eat. We loved the layout, the arrangement of the games and the exciting competitions we watched. Playing darts and basketball is quite an interesting way to spend time, it's energising, and when you play with Gamze it was a pleasant surprise to be in the process with the campers and it's a great idea. I would like to mention Gamze, she was really active, communicated with the holidaymakers, smiled and also helped to solve one problem I encountered. After that, I realised that I could rely on the staff in the face of difficulties.
