I had a wonderful stay at Sub Karakoy Hotel! The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, perfect for those who like to sleep in as the curtains block out the light very well. The location is ideal, with a short walk to the vibrant Cihangir neighborhood. Karakoy itself offers some of the best restaurants and is home to one of Istanbul’s top clubs, Frankhan, just around the corner.
I also found the hotel very convenient for work – I was able to hold a productive meeting on my laptop in the comfortable lobby. The staff was amazing, and a special thank you to Arda at the reception who was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. I really appreciated the great service. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to returning. Thanks again for the lovely stay!

Rooms are small but work for short trips! Cleaned regularly and air con worked perfectly. Location is spot on though! 3mins from Tophane tram and probably about 8mins to Karaköy tram and busses on the bridge. Plenty of restaurants and shops around, good coffee places also! Would be happy to come back!

Rooms are really small. There is also no closet room. The bathroom is so tiny that you don’t even have hooks to hang up your towel. So due to the small room I would not book this hotel again. However, the location is great. You just cross the street for all the little bars and restaurants. Tram is nearby and walking distance from galata tower. It’s not t
crowded as the old city Centre but is busy enough. Also enough places around to enjoy breakfast and at the end of the street you can find galata port which is also a nice place to visit.

Not sure why this hotel has such high ratings. Service through the 5 day stay was unhelpful - asked for help for wifi twice, once by phone and once by Whatsapp and was ignored both times. Rooms were also below expectations with things breaking, in them, the one good thing was that the house keepers did a great job each day cleaning. The location is convenient if you enjoy staying in touristy and hectic areas close to sightseeing.

We've stayed at the hotel for 6 nights with breakfast included.
To start with pros: staff was really welcoming, spoke good english, cleaning service did its job well (fresh towels and clean dishes every day), location is quite nice and the room is pretty comfy itself.
The only con which has become crucial: horrible breakfast.
As I know they used to serve breakfast at their own place and it used to be nice. Nowadays they're serving it at the next hotel which is their chain also. Just a disaster.
Absolutely nothing to eat. They didn't even have eggs sometimes and we had to remind them to renew coffee or bring more forks. Service is zero. We were hungry for the price of 350 tl approximately though we could go to any other place to eat. Unfortunately we didn't now that breakfast situation is so poor.
I can definitely recommend the hotel but don't take breakfast. That was our mistake.

The staff here is extremely friendly , when I checked early the hotel was full but Cihan made me feel comfortable he made me coffee and tea and even got me an early check and made my stay much more comfortable. The food here is also amazing! The chef is so nice! Overall a great find.

Very surprising interior and exterior. There is a Mural art at the building from one of top local Graffiti artist Leo. Beds are made by steel where you feel that you are at the ship. And recently hotel listed on Michelin list at 2nd on 10 best hotels at Turkey. Congratulations

Location is perfect. 20 minutes walk from Galata Tower. Close to trams and boats for Bosphore cruises. Breakfast is yummy and rooms are good. It can be a bit noisy but keep in mind that it is Istambul

It was the worst hotel of the whole trip to Turkey. Smelly room with odors coming from the shower drains. Dangerous elevator as it often left with the door open. Head banging on the stairs, despite being only 1.75 meters tall. Improvised staff, hardly anyone speaks English and can't give you information and advice about their city.
And to finish off our stay, the taxi driver, friend of a receptionist, charged us more than double the money to go back to the airport... he said our 4 credit cards didn't work with his pos... but it seemed obvious to me that he had specifically disabled the internet connection to have cash only.
The only positive note is the location, close to many restaurants and not far from the Galata Tower.
And to finish off our stay, the taxi driver, friend of a receptionist, charged us more than double the money to go back to the airport... he said our 4 credit cards didn't work with his pos... but it seemed obvious to me that he had specifically disabled the internet connection to have cash only.
The only positive note is the location, close to many restaurants and not far from the Galata Tower.
