Montania Town Hotel Mudanya

The best thing about this hotel is something that has nothing to do with the hotel itself — the views. From the start we had issues in terms of space. There was no dresser in our room for 3 people and very limited closet space. Actually, it was meant for 1-2 people but they added a small bed. The extra bed was not comfortable at all.

The cleaning was executed by very kind people, however, they would remove the electricity for the whole room when we are gone. This is problematic for people who utilize the fridge, potentially causing the items to spoil. They complied very well after asking if they could keep the electricity on, however I think this shouldn’t be a standard cleaning procedure for every room.

The worst thing was the breakfast. Not only was it dry, but we saw mold on the cheese several times, causing us to cancel. We also watched several other customers drop tongs and simply put them back without doing anything else, and picking food with their hands. We were able to cancel our breakfast eventually, however the administration was not happy about it.

When we would request things to our room, we would sometimes never get it at all. Sometimes calling the front desk several times and just giving up in the end.

Over all, I do not recommend this hotel. It is not run well, and not to mention the loud noise you hear in your room from parties, even though we were told we wouldn’t hear anything. They were not transparent with their prices. Front dest seemed to not know what was going on majority of the time. I’m not so sure the views are worth the lack of transparency. Potentially look for something else.

Edit: I found out that staff has discussed this review with non-clients and I do not believe that this is professional.

The main building is great!
However l stayed for 3 nights as l was a guest for a wedding the reception of whose would take place in the main building and l have to say that l was so much disappointed!!!!
There was no proper air-conditioned room actually it didn't work the whole time l stayed and the internet connection was with gaps the whole time!!! The temperature was approximately 39°C and you can imagine it was so hard to sleep and take a rest!!!
That was the worst experience l have ever had concerning a hotel stay!!!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

We came here with a reservation to have open menu breakfast... This was the worst decision on our trip to Bursa. 250TL per person and most of the food was low quality products. I am ashamed to write these but this wasn't like this back in the day. One can take a taxi and have far better breakfasts at the city centre even for the same price included the taxi fare. We like the hotel for it's history and location, we had the ferry trip from Sirkeci/Istanbul (BUDO) just in time for the breakfast. I hope management reconsiders its service... Also as we see, the open menu service was for residents of the hotel but we were the only ones who paid for it this should have been why it was low on quality but we never warned about it.

This is only my experience and can not be generalized but what I experienced in this hotel was not good at all the room was smelling smoke even though it was said that the room is non-smoking. The breakfast is not bad. The location is OK. The stuff is pleasant. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. However, I do not know the alternatives in the area.

Such a beautiful hotel, but needs a renovation, wasn't very clean,but breakfast was great. Wiew from the room was speechless.

Food quality was subpar, eat at the other restaurants nearby. Having tried both, you’ll have better luck in terms of service and quality at any of the nearby locations on the harbor. It felt like someone bought the food down at a nearby shopping mall put some yoghurt on it and didn’t even bother to season it.

We asked to sit down at the water front to which the manager responded, “If you go, everyone else will want to go. I don’t want to walk the extra steps”.

Finally when we got our receipt they had added a large water that we didn’t order.
