We stayed 5 nights in Hanehan and we loved this place so much. The hotel itself is very pretty, it used to be a family home (been around for more than 600 years) and the current owners turned it into a boutique hotel.
We're particularly impressed with the service, the Hanehan Family (Murad Abi, Firat Abi, Ali Abi, Mahmut Bey, and Mehmet Bey) are very nice, they made us feel welcomed. Mahmut Bey also helped us with our laundry and helped us showing the parking lot for our rental car. If you're looking for a nice restaurant, you can always ask Mahmut Bey for his recommendation. He's so nice and knows Urfa's culinary scene like on the back of his hand.
Murad Abi took us to see Mount Nemrut, Septimius Severus Bridge, Halfeti, Attaturk Dam while telling us stories about the ancient civilzations. Firat Abi took us to the Airport in the morning.
If you're looking for a place that feels homey with excellent service (they provide everything, all you need to do is just ask) and quiet, away from Sira noises, this is the place for you.
P.S.: ask for a glass of Reyhan, a refreshing drink made of hibiscus flower, sweet basil, and spices. We loved it so much!

Incredible place, beautiful central patio, with a fountain, very old building that makes you feel like you're in a fary tale. The staff is amazing, and will do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. I am an animal lover, they have a cat and a puppy, and they will let you bring your dog if you want to.
We visited during winter and it can get quite cold, the AC in the room made it very comfortable for us to sleep, but the shower and bathroom can be a bit cold.
The breakfast is quite good and very well served. If you are not familiar with Turkish kahvaltı, you may think it's too abundant, but this is the way it is done in Turkey.
The hotel has a small parking lot in the back, you cannot access the hotel it self by car, so call before you arrive to make sure they tell you where you can park. The beautiful narrow alleys and streets around the hotel are not suitable for the car. To access the parking lot it is better to let someone from the hotel to park the car for you.

Generous hosts who are always ready to assist. To arrive at such a late hour, after a long journey, it was a calm sanctuary. Minor point would be the dusty bathroom - but excellent shower. Would stay again 🇩🇪🇦🇺

The most memorable point of my vacation from Russia to Georgia and Turkey. Probably you could find a better interior or better breakfast than here, but you'll never find more friendly and helpful people than here.

An exquisite, exotic jewel shimmers somewhere in the mysterious alleys of Old Urfa. Hanehan is that rare phenomenon - a hotel that is finer in reality than photographically, even though she is fabulously photogenic. One emerges via a discreet gate into an urban oasis, a centuries-old courtyard centred around a cooling (it was 40 degrees) pond, surrounded by a limestone palazzio carved with symbols and motifs that tell a thousand stories. Our rooms were up a terrace of stairs; both were fabulous, restored with a light touch to accommodate such essential modern luxuries as a comfortable bathroom and air conditioning. The owner, Murat, and his brother Fırat (Euphrates in Turkish) have transferred their own professionalism, charm and above all their boundless enthusiasm and passion for the hotel and their native province, to all their staff, who maintain a level of service and friendliness - friendship in fact - that is unparalleled. They also serve a fantastic breakfast! As well as being an accomplished entrepreneur speaking at least 4 languages, a born savant hugely knowledgeable on subjects ranging from philosophy and food to architecture, archeology and history, Murat is a celebrated figure in his city, and a qualified guide. My trip was crowned with a trip to Nemrut Dağı under his guidance. No superlative could suffice to describe it. You should take the opportunity to sit with him and his delightful family and discuss where to go and what to see. I only regret not staying longer than 4 nights. Can one give 6 stars?

I honestly don’t get all the positive reviews of this hotel. Parking with a car here is an adventure to say the least and involves driving in some very small tight alleys. Our room left much to be desired. The bathroom floor was so dirty that when it got wet after our showers the dirt on the floor made wet dirty smears on the floor. Our bed sheets smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Our mini fridge (and the replacement they brought us) did not cool at all (items were barely more than room temperature in the morning). There was a used soap bar from a previous guest in the shower. There were dark colored hairs on our bed sheets. We only had 1 very thin blanket in the room. The wifi did not work in our room. Alcohol consumption is only allowed in your room. You can not sit in the main part of the courtyard with a glass of wine or a beer. The water went out in the hotel in the morning, so we couldn’t flush the toilet or use the sink or shower. On a positive note, the building is interesting and historic and the courtyard is pretty. Communication before our arrival was very good. Also, when we decided not to stay a second night, they cancelled our second night without penalty.

A wonderful stay! Hotel is in a building more than 600 years old and is absolutely beautiful. Staff was incredible. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting from out of town. We were visiting from America and felt very welcomed. Thank you!
